My hubby bought me two things from his last trip that I need to return. It will have been three months when we get back to WDW from his trip. I still have receipts. Can I still return them?
One is a shirt that is too small from Conch Flats, tag is still on it.
The other I'm not sure where it is from, I'll have to see if he remembers, but the receipt say Pin Station. It is a pin album that once I opened it at home had water damage. I never used it, there is no pin holes. His luggage was dry so I'm assuming something had spilled on it while in the store. I would like to just exchange that one for another.
Can I make these two returns anywhere or does it have to be from the exact store? I doubt I'll go back over to OKW unless I have to. (The shirt is an OKW shirt, though.)

Thanks for any advice!

Is there a Disney store near you? It's my understanding they will accept anything. I bought some shirts from the Disney store on line that I really didn't like and returned them to our local store. They didn't carry one of them, but took both back without question.
They may not have the pin holder, but you can purchase one the next trip. Don't have a clue about returning something months after purchase.

I would call WDW merchandise. (sorry I don't have the phone number)
From my past experience, they will send a replacement free of charge for anything that was damaged at the time of purchase.
Good Luck!

I took back a clock that did not work when we got home. It was 6 months later. They replaced it without a problem

I called and wanted to return a ring that broke and they say you cannot return it at a Disney store only at WDW itself.

The number for WDW Merchandising is: 407.363.6200

And yes, I have that memorized.

I used the Disney merchandising number above to successfully deal with a tie that came home with its exploding squib still attached. I paid postage there and they paid postage back. I got the feeling that if I had insisted, they might have paid it both ways. However, I did walk out of the store without checking the tie, so I was willing to share responsibility.

I bought my DH a watch last June. He wasn't along and it was too small for his wrist. I had the receipt and returned it without any problem at the store where I purchased it. I think you could probably return it at any WDW store if they have or did have that item.

I just bought something at the Disney at Home store in DTD. I was not sure whether or not it would work. I asked if I could return it in October if necessary, if I kept my receipt. I was told that I could return it even if I lost my receipt!

...and it apparently worked like a charm. ;)

When DW was a Disney Store CM, they accepted returns from WDW and DL. That was a few years ago, though, so the policy could have changed in the meantime.

I agree that the policy may have changed recently as has the merchandise that The Disney Store carries, but some of the best stuff I have bought there were Park Returns usually clearanced.

I returned a ring (Mickey head fake ruby ring) some 18 months after I purchased it. One "ruby" had fallen out soon after I bought it. I no longer had the receipt, and I thought I would just take a chance that they would replace it. Took it to the store at MGM and before I could even finish my story, the CM there said "oh, you need another one - just pick one out."

Gotta love Disney.

I was just in The Disney Store, last week, and a woman was trying to return something she apparently bought at WDW. I didn't hear the whole conversation, but I don't think she had her receipt. I think she had her credit card bill as proof. Anyway, she ended up leaving with whatever it was she was trying to return. After she walked away, the CMs were talking and they said that Disney was changing their return policy. You will only have 60 days to return something.

Well, that would stink since most people don't go to WDW twice in 60 days! LOL

I believe the 60 day policy beings in early May & refers to returning merchandise to a Disney Store.

The new return policy starts on May 2nd at the Disney Store. I can only confirm that it is for the Disney Stores. I don't know about the parks.

We will still be accecpting park returns with a receipt. There will just be a 60 day policy.
