Water park shoes?

I have not been to a water park for several years. We plan to go this summer due to the free water parks on arrival day offer. Will we need water shoes or are bare feet ok? It will be August so it will be HOT so I am thinking we need something on our feet so we don’t burn them on the pavement but maybe not. Thoughts?
I absolutely recommend AT LEAST slippers in the parks. The barefoot ground will burn you, even with sunscreen.

Are Tevas allowed as water shoes? They are basically plastic and Velcro. What about regular Crocs with the strap you can flip around back?

I’d hate to shrewd my feet then have a week of park walking.
Crocs will not stay on, even with the strap around back, so they probably aren’t allowed.

I’m team water shoes just because for me it adds a little grip while walking around on the wet slippery hot pavement . Plus I would not go into the restroom barefooted. Bought cheap ones from Amazon like another person posted and they worked great.

I was just thinking the same thing! I've been to WDW a bunch of times but never been to a water park. Because it's free, we are giving it a shot this summer. We already have Crocs and/or Tevas that we are already bringing. It would be nice to not have to pack something extra!

The issue with this is that they are bulky
Water shoes are designed like a second skin so they shouldn’t feel like you’re wearing anything at all

I’m sure you can wear them if you want but I wouldn’t find it at all comfortable in the water

I looked over all of the WDW Park Policies I could find and there is nothing that specifically says Crocs or Tevas are not allowed. It's been a long time since I've been to any waterpark so I'm gonna try them for my trip next month and I'll update when I get back!

watershoes unless you can tolerate hot florida concrete floor heat on your feet

Please do update! I am going in four weeks, and I cannot find water shoes that fit. I may have to wear my Chacos (like tevas) if they are allowed.

I have worn Crocs (Litestride sandals, not the clog style) and Teva Hurricanes to and from Typhoon Lagoon but I always change into water shoes when I get there, because they will not allow you to wear sandals like that on the rides. These are the water shoes I got. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XJB4FP3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1&psc=1

Depending on how desperate you are... I got these cheap ones off amazon because my feet vary so much in size with swelling and the velcro let me adjust a lot. They worked ok for waterparks, no issues on the slides. Sand gets into them so I switched to normal sandals for going to/from waterparks. Threw them out at the end of the trip as the sand would not come out, but I didn't expect them to be keepers anyway so I was fine with that.

I'm so glad I saw this thread! Going for the first time and I never thought about the hot concrete even though I'm scorched at the pools! Just didn't dawn on me. Thanks.
