Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

But there's a secret why I'm not worrying about it.... you'll have to wait until I update my report to find out....:ssst:

You tease! You think you can leave us hanging with a cliff of a hang like that?

I guess you DO controll your own PT report... :lmao:

Do you take bribes?

What do ya want?

I took photos of the Duck Family today. They came over again to go over the Fuzzy Disney Math. :teacher:
We may change our dates after all. :lmao: Let's wait and see what the Free Dining dates actually are. :confused3

Here's a photo of Hewey. Can't see his entire shirt, but it's green shirt and has a huge "F". ;) I know it's actually for "Famous", but an Aunt can dream.

DuckFamily002.jpg

Here's a photo of Dewey. He wouldn't smile, until Daisy told him if he didn't he's not going to WDW. Oh, the power of the Mouse! :lmao: Hiding behind Dewey is Donald. :scared:

DuckFamily001.jpg

Now a picture of the Queen of the Ducks. I do sympathize with her, being the only girl in a house full of boys. I don't know how she does it! :confused3
DuckFamily003.jpg

I promise to get the next installment up soonish.

Let's see where did I leave off????

Oh, yes, Donald is a weenie. Fact. Period. Sometimes I think my brother is a woman. He can really act like a woman. I mean he does chick stuff that really freaks me out. Let me give you a few examples.

A few years ago, The Ducks put an addition to their house. They added a master suite and transformed their "living room" to a "great room". Whatever that means. It's just bigger. Anyway, Donald and Daisy got these really cool closets and Daisy being the professional, has lots of shoes and businessy clothes. So, Donald organized all her clothes by color, type of clothing, etc. Then he went to the Dollar Tree and bought those clear plastic shoe boxes and took Poloroid shots of Daisy's shoes and glued them to the box, so she could find her shoes. Does anyone find that bizarre? If my DH did that, I'd go catatonic. No doubt.

Today, I was showing Daisy my new bareMinerals makeup that I ordered. I'm VERY excited about it. Donald walks over and starts checking things out saying he was going to order it for Daisy, just because he likes the Kabuki brush. ????? ***????? My brother is a woman. :rolleyes1 Could it be because he works with a bunch of female nurses? He is a man-nurse. Well, almost a man-nurse, he's not quite done with school.:confused3

Ok, back to my story. The night of my DIS meet with those FOCKERS, Donald had planned to do DiveQuest at Epcot until 8:30. Perfect, right. The Ducks and my family would spend the evening together doing ... WHATEVER. They'd all be out of my hair and I'd be in Lapu heaven with my DIS friends. Well, apparently Daisy made a comment about the cost of his dive and to punish her, he cancelled his dive. :sad2: Isn't that such a "chick" thing to do? I mean c'mon! Put your big girl panties on and deal with it. I don't know what to do with this girl...errr.. I mean guy!

UP NEXT: COMPROMISES AND SURPRISES

Yes, he needs to put on the big girl panties!

Compromises and surprises? Way to leave us hanging. Are you gonna change your dates so I can dining stalk you? :upsidedow

OMG - can I please have Donald fix up MY closet??!! What a riot he is! :rotfl2:

Okay, so your dates might be changing, which will impact your ADR's, but we shouldn't worry?? 'Cause there's a surprise coming? Ugh, I hate suspense... :sad2:

/
OOOHHHH I LOVE surprises-I cant wait-I almost feel as if the surprise is for me!!DOnt keep us waiting to long. BTW if Donald has some free time he can organize my closet. He is too funny:lmao:
Thanks for their pics, cute family.

Don't know about my closet Donald can come and sort out my whole house :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Surely if he really wants to do the dive he should just say so!

Tracy how are you going to Fock me all ove the place if you change dates :sad2:

Let me just say this. Our dates MAY change. :confused3 But, we will still arrive on the 25th in time for our ADR at Kona come hell or high water. It will actually perfect. Our flight would come in and we'd check in with enough time to get settled, get the kids & DH dinner, freshen up and head out to the Poly. :thumbsup2:
We'd just book a room only at POFQ on the 25th & our free dining package will start on the 26th.
So, plan B has been set in motion. It will cost us $1000 to make the changes, but our net savings will be $1800 ish. It's still up in the air, until free dining is officially announced.

Now you're talkin'! IF there's free dining, we will do room only then start the FD on the 26th. We aren't sure where we are staying yet. It depends on who is joining us. Did I just say that? :scared1: If the Fam Suites are included this year, then there; if just the five of us, then POR, too many ifs....head spinnning....need chocolate.

Umm... Can I just say that instead of doing my macroeconomics homework I just sat for the past hour and read your previous TR and started this one!!!

Hilarious! Descriptive! Insightful! Did I mention hilarious? Oh, I already did?

Anyway - SUBSCRIBING! And that is all.

You may recall I mentioned the offer/deal DH and I worked out after I was vetoed out of P&PP(Pirate and Princess Party), right? Well, it's time to spill the beans. Since I was very mad at DH for not wanting to go P&PP he made me a sweet deal. You see, we have never stayed at the Grand Californian Hotel here at Disneyland. I've always wanted to stay, but DH is a stick in the mud and figures why should we pay for a hotel room when we live 15 minutes away? He agreed to book us a 2 night stay at the Grand Californian in either June or December, my choice. June being my birthday month, and yes, I milk the whole month! And December being the prettiest time of the year at Disneyland. So there you have it, this offer sealed the deal. :cloud9: Little does he know that I am also going to schedule us an appointment for DVC when we go. ;)

I'm wondering about the Grand Californian DVC. Will the point system work the same for WDW properties? I know if you use your current WDW DVC points toward say any of the Disneyland hotels, they conversion is crazy. You're better off just booking a room with a code. Maybe I'm wrong? :confused3

Anyway, this whole "rumored" free dining really has us all in a tail spin. When I did my FDM work up, I forgot that we would not get the AAA discount on top of free dining. SO, I went back and did all the corrections only to find out our actual savings would be $2900 collectively. This would greatly reduce the Ducks cost by more that $1300 as Hewey and Dewey are considered "adults". Even after the airline change fee, they'd save over $900. Now that's getting FDM to work for you! :thumbsup2: Waldo and I would both save a little less that $500, net savings. Imagine all the carp I could buy with that! :lmao: We're waiting for official word until we officially change the dates. Now that's going to send me back to lover....errr TourGuideMike to get plan B, well planned. Our new dates would be 8/25 - 9/3. I totally forgot August has 31 days, not 30. We'd get home 2 days before school started. Not ideal, but worth it, I think. We would book a room only reservation for 8/25 through AAA. We didn't plan on touring any parks on our travel day anyway, so it works out. We would start our free dining package on 8/26. So, Plan B is in motion, just in case. :rolleyes1 I'm really bummed, as I wanted to secretly FOCK Jo at Animal Kingdom on the 23rd.:)

Now, the secret I've been hiding is this..... Now this is breaking news, no one knows but you and you and you. You see, DH had set up a Voluntary Savings account last year with a Credit Union that offered free services to employees of his company. He made a decent bi-weekly contribution of $200. Well, you see, he forgot about it. So did I for that matter. :confused3 How that happened it beyond me. Anyway, I was going through all our banking accounts and found the quarterly statement. Well, low and behold, there it was. In black and white. A nice fat balance. Enough to pay for Plan A and then some. So, you see.... our Disney trip is as good as paid for. I jumped on the internet and requested a full payout transferred to our checking account. Uh oh... can't do that. They will send a paper check to our home. Darn it! He's going to find out. :headache: How do I hide it? How do I get it into our account without his knowledge? Maybe I can get him to sign it when he's watching the Lakers lose again. :stir: Well, I'll worry about it when it gets here. Which is in 10-15 days. I'm taking suggestions.... anyone? Anyone? Lauralee? V? Jo? S'late? Lisa?

So my phone rings this morning and guess who it is. No? Ok, well, it's my other DNeph, Walt. :cool2: You may remember him from my previous trip report? Anyway, he asks what our vacation dates are as he received a nice tax refund and would like to take a vacation this summer. With us. Great. :sad2: So I discuss the possibility with The Enabler, who is infact on complete bed rest from dumpster diving. Don't ask. :sad2: She says, Walt can stay in her and Waldos room as long as he pays his park ticket and plane ticket. I tell Walt, it's a go and I would run the figures for him today. Did the work up already, it's gonna cost him $760. Not bad for a 10 day WDW trip. He may get a better deal if he books himself w/ his CM discount. So our little party of 10 has turn into a party of 11. Do you know what this is going to do to all my ADR's? Do you think it will be a big deal? Most of my ADR's are booked for 2 tables. A party of 6 and a party of 4. Will it be that hard to add another chair? Anyone??? Anyway, back to Walt.... In case you didn't know, he works at DLand in the Bakery as a Barista or is it Baristo? He thanks me and then he gives me the greatest knowledge known to a Disney fan. :cool1: The address to the Disneyland outlet, which happens to be a hop, skip and a jump from my house. He suckered me in, I tell ya. He's got skills to work his Aunt, fo sho'! :thumbsup2:

So there you are.... you're all up to date with the secrets, the compromises and the offered not to be refused.

UP NEXT: ANOTHER ROUND WITH TOURGUIDEMIKE

ETA: This is a photo of parental neglect. This poor child fell asleep because his mother was busy posting an installment and forgot his nap time. For shame! :rolleyes2:

OMG Tracy my heads spinning :rotfl2: 11 now and date changes (maybe) you're going to be on planning hyper drive!

Could you shhhhh forge DH's siggie???? Very naughty I know but it is for his own good yeah :thumbsup2

Tracy you are simply a Saint! Saint Disneyland_Mama!

You are single handedly dealing with a poop of a brother and holding the fun in your hands for 9 others. I do suggest you get yourself to the Poly for some of those yummo drinks!

My suggestion would be sign the check and deposit in your joint account. I do it all of the time (not to put one over on my dh, just to make things move along more smoothly around here).

So I have an idee'r on how to not get hit with the airline change fee. I'll PM you...

No worries...in order to get my next installment up, I sat my kiddos infront of the TV with junk food. I put my DS in 'charge' of TINK

Okay, now that the boys have eaten...

I am in AWE, I tell you. You need to change your name to super-planner-go-with-the-flow-always-thinking-Mama! TWO plans. Many out there can't handle one.

I agree with princessjv...sign away and make the deposit like you do it all the time. Now, to get to the mailbox before him. Will this be an issue???

And congrats on your two nights away in luxury. I think I might have backed down from the party, too.

DW does most of the bank deposits. She does my signature better than I do. I guess if you want to get all technical, I've effectively given her power of attorney to sign my name on my behalf when making deposits to our account. I really don't like endorsing checks unless I'm actually at the teller. I guess I could use a "FOR DEPOSIT ONLY TO ACCOUNT XXX" restrictive endorsement to avoid my paranoia over endorsing checks before I am at the bank.

:offtopic:
BTW, DW is preoccupied at the moment helping DD9 earn some Webkins $$. For those unaware, Webkins are stuff animals that you purchase at a toy store. With the purchase, you can (for 1 year..and then paid renewals) then log into the Webkins virtual space to take care of the virtual version of your stuff animal, interact with other Webkin owners, etc. DD9 was on Webkins earlier and had an unexpected logout which resulted in the loss of all her online $$ and stuff in her virtual room. In any case, she was pretty upset over it, so we've taken turns helping her earn some $$. She really wants to get enough to buy a bed so that her Webkin has somewhere to sleep before she logs out for the night; otherwise, when she logs in tomorrow, her virtual pet will complain about not getting enough sleep. I'm not sure how many of you have experienced Webkins, but they are pretty popular with the 7-12 crowd here.

Great idea. ;) Bwahahaha!! :stir:

BRILLIANT!

I've got to feed my 3....I'll be right back!

Yes, please feed those little bites of yours. I think we've seen enough child neglect for one day.:rotfl:

Tracy you are simply a Saint! Saint Disneyland_Mama!

A saint? Nah... I'm more of a glutton for punishment and drama! :lmao:

Whew! I thought you'd all think I'm simply crazy. I've got binder "A" and binder "B". I'm calling in Plan B's ADR's tomorrow. :teeth:

I can put it in the ATM and not have to actually face a teller. :rolleyes1:

I've never heard of Webkins. I think my little ones are a wee bit young for that, though. Say "HI!" to the Mrs. for me! :)
