Memories that will live on forever! Oct. 17-24, 2010-UPDATED 10/7/11 and New TR Link

Great update. Love the opening pics. Yay for being tall enough for TT. Looks like a fun morning and an added Dis Meet!!

YAY for the DISmeet!! :goodvibes And yay that Ava was tall enough to ride Test Track! I'm hoping Claire is going to be tall enough this time. At her 3 year old checkup she was 39 inches tall without shoes on! So we'll see! Curious to find out if Ava gets to ride Soarin'!

Glad you were able to switch rooms, the new one looks fab!

Wow, I didn't realize that you got to Epcot that early. Better early than late! Yay for Ava riding Test Track!

So glad we got to meet at the Seas. I was on the lookout for you, was hoping we would run into each other while there!

I'm in! I love reading trip reports where the kids are seeing things for the first time (they are, I think, right?). Lovely family :).

Joining in on your report Your daughters are too cute! I can't wait to hear all about your trip.

I'm glad that you all made it on Test Track! Adorable pictures of your girls with Nemo and Friends!

I'm really glad you were all able to enjoy Test Track! They really need a system to avoid situations like that! Your not the first person who I've read had that experience! In fact, your the second person who I've read had that experience on Test Track in a matter of weeks! They need to give the kiddos stickers or something at the first measuring stick or something!!!!

Great pictures from The Seas!

Great Updates Heidi!!! :thumbsup2

It appears that you very nearly had Epcot to yourselves that day!!! Crowds looked GREAT!!! :goodvibes So glad that Ava was tall enough for TT - hope she was big enough for Soain' as well!! That is my most favourite ride at Epcot! :)

Can't wait to hear more! :cool1:

The opening was such a great way to begin our day in Epcot. The girls was just so excited to see Mickey.

I was so glad that Ava made the cut at TT. She had heard so much about the ride from Erin.

The DIS Meet was a very fun bonus to our day!

Subbing, How was flying on Allegiant? We are using them when we go to WDW in Dec.

We had great luck with Allegiant. The flights both ways left on time and arrived early. We also loved having a direct flight. If you want drinks on the plane I would suggest buying them after going through security. They charge you for all snacks and beverages on the flight.

I was so excited to have our first DIS Meet!

It was so great that we got to ride TT together. Last year we used the rider swap and that was fine, but it was so much better when we did it together!

Is Claire brave when it comes to the rides? I sure hope that she makes the 40 inch mark.:goodvibes

The new room was fantastic! I am so glad that Stu made his early morning request.

We were SO early, but we really didn't mind. We were just so excited to be there!

I am so glad that you saw us! I had never been in the area where Bruce was, so I didn't realize how crazy it would be to get a picture of the kids back there.

I'm in! I love reading trip reports where the kids are seeing things for the first time (they are, I think, right?). Lovely family :).

:welcome: This was the second trip for my girls, but they did see many new things this time around. It was a completely different trip for my youngest DD this year because she was much more willing to do and try things this time around.

:welcome: Thanks for joining in!

It was pretty exciting for Ava to ride on TT. The whole way through the line she kept saying, "I'm big!"

It would be great if they could find an effective way to deal with the measuring. If the CM at the first measuring spot had said no it would have been fine and we would have just gotten the rider swap. We were all so excited going through the line and then to get to the front and have them say no was disappointing to say the least. It was pretty frustrating, but thankfully she stood tall and they ended up letting her on the ride!

Hi Kim! Epcot wasn't bad at all that day. It seemed a little busier in general than it was last year, but the lines weren't that bad.

It was great that all four of us got to ride together on TT! Ava thought that she was pretty cool.

I'm joining!

Your girls are so cute. I love all of the pictures that Erin took! That camera sure was a good investment.

When I last left off we were making our way to The Land. We were all starting to get a little hungry, so we decided that Sunshine Seasons would be the perfect place for a snack. We all shared a slice of cheesecake and a strawberry shortcake. After refueling we decided to take a ride on Living with the Land. I really enjoy this ride and I finally caught a picture of the hidden Mickey in the lettuce.

It was now time to check if Ava was tall enough to ride Soarin'. We headed to the CM at the Fast Pass line and he had her step up to the measurer and he said she was good to go!:cool1: We made our way through the FP line and Ava was not stopped again like she was at TT. Thank goodness! We were placed in our assigned row and soon we were Soarin' over California. I kept glancing over at Ava and she just loved it. She had an absolute look of wonder on her face. I have enjoyed Soarin' in the past, but that day I just loved it. It was so great that we all got to experience it together. After the ride we had to get a picture proving that Ava is "big."

We decided that we wanted to start making our way to World Showcase. On the way the girls were able to get their first autographs of the trip. They were very excited that it happened to be Chip and Dale

We made a stop at Club Cool for some ginger ale. I was feeling kind that day, so I didn't even try to have them taste Beverly! Erin decided she needed to take a few more pictures before we moved on.

We grabbed a pass for a Kim Possible mission as we were entering World Showcase. We knew we wanted to eat in Morocco so we took a right and headed toward Canada. Who can pass up this photo op?

Disney2010057Small.jpg

On the way to Morocco we came across a few characters in France. The Aristocats was one of Stu's favorite movies growing up, so we had to get his picture with Marie. She was very cute when she realized that Stu wanted a picture with her.

We were told that Princess Aurora would be out in a couple of minutes, so we headed in that direction. She was really great with the girls and spent a long time visiting with them.

We were also able to see Belle. I was really hoping that Beast would be there as well, but it just didn't work out.

We were having a great time meeting all of the characters, but it was time to get something to eat. We finally made it to Morocco and we went to the Tangierine Cafe. The girls shared an order of chicken nuggets, while Stu and I shared the chicken and lamb platter. There was plenty of food to share and it really hit the spot.

Up next: Are we going to Pick a Pearl yet? How about now?

Great update. So glad Ava was able to make it on Soarin' and that she enjoyed it. I'm really hoping that my nephew will be tall enough to go on during our family trip in July. Seeing her face must have been priceless!

Loving the pictures with Marie, Aurora, and Belle!

Belle's my favorite. :)

So many of my favorite things on this update! I love the Strawberry Shortcake at Sunshine Seasons; I love that your whole family got to ride Soarin together. I remember how great the first time we did that was. I love the picture of Marie and your DH; it's always great when the DHs get in on the fun. And I love love love Tangieriene Cafe. The food there is better than many a table service at Disney World! Looks like a great afternoon!

Yay for Ava having her first ride on Soarin'! I am surprised we didn't run into you guys again that day, we headed the same way through the WS (well at first anyway:rolleyes:).

I was so excited that she was able to ride Soarin' and that there wasn't any drama! I hope that your nephew makes the cut. It sure is fun when everybody can enjoy the rides together.

:welcome: I really enjoy meeting all of the characters, but I would have to say that Snow White is my favorite. Aurora was just fantastic with the girls.

The Strawberry Shortcake is so yummy, isn't it? I also have to agree with you about the Tangierine Cafe. The servings are huge and they have great flavor. My tummy is rumbling just thinking about it!

I was surprised that we didn't see you guys either. We crossed paths with Jill a couple of times. You will see in my next update that we ended up doing a little backtracking after lunch.

After getting a bite to eat in Morocco we decided to head over to the International Gateway area. I read on The DIS earlier that week Rapunzel and Flynn had been making appearances there. We did not see them, so we decided to make our way over to the UK because Mary Poppins and Alice were just making their way out.

Disney2010077Small.jpg

Disney2010078Small.jpg

Mary Poppins is another favorite of Stu's. It was his lucky day! I had to laugh at how proper Mary Poppins was with Stu. She told him, "You may hold my arm."

Disney2010079Small.jpg

We had a bit of a hard time meeting Alice. People couldn't figure out how to access the path to get into the line to greet her, so they kept walking through while we were trying to get pictures. We were able to get a couple of shots free of other guests.

I wonder if Erin needed to use the restroom.:confused3

At this point Erin had asked when we would be going to Japan to do Pick a Pearl about ten times. She had been waiting for it ever since the moment I had told her about it. I had purchased the girls carriage pearl cages on Ebay and Erin just couldn't wait to wear hers!

september2010037.jpg

We made our way into Mitsukoshi and there wasn't anybody waiting so we were able to walk right up. Each of the girls chose their own oysters and the little ceremony that they do is really fun. Erin's pearl was a 6 3/4 silver pearl. I don't know if it is true, but she was told that was a very special pearl. Ava's pearl was also 6 3/4, but hers was white.

After we finished up Japan we made our way back to Morocco because we knew that Aladdin and Jasmine would be be out any minute. Aladdin was very interested in the carriage necklaces. He even asked where we got them!
