Membership Card?

Hi,

We closed a few weeks ago on our first contract. We have received member book and info from Disney, but no membership card yet. Does anyone remember how long it took to get their card? We will be at WDW in 2 weeks and had hoped to have by then.

I actually got my card a few weeks after the temporary one expired.

If you don't get it and you don't have a temp card call MS, they should at least get you a temp card if you don't have one.

We purchased in July. Our temp cards came with the initial paperwork we had to sign and the "real deals" came about three weeks after our deed had posted. Hope that helps and welcome home!

Does anyone know if one card per membership is issued or do a husband & wife both get cards? Our DVC is listed in both of our names, but only my DH received one. Thanks for any info!

We received our temp cards immediately but had to make numerous phone calls to get our real cards

We received are permanent cards after the temporary cards expired. We received 2 cards for DH & I. I believe that was because both of our names are on the contract.

Hi,

Spoke with MS today, says there is no way to tell if temp or perm cards have been sent. Told me the only way to get a temp card is to go to Saratoga sales office once I'm there. Hmmm...I still think they can send me out a temp card..

I believe they give cards to who ever is on the contract/deed. If you are both on there, you should both get one.

I know people have said they have gotten theirs. I have been a member since Jan 06, well got my temp card in Fed 06, expired in May 06, went on 1st trip June 06, to SSR told them never got perm card, they said to call MS services, called member services while I was on vacation, they said go to SSR, OK in a loop, so I was on vacation said to myself, why am I worrying about this now. Oh by the way off note while I was in trying get my card, I rented a convertible, left the top down and guess what? yes you guessed it (thunderstorm a big one) soaking wet, lesson learned, never leave the top down if you are not in the car! OK continue....

In August 2006 called about a reservations around a FEB 2007 holiday, couldn't get one all full, but asked them about my perm card, they said oh no problem will get one out to you right away. Now Oct 2006, no card yet... Still using my old expired paper bent up card in my wallet that is larger than a credit card so you can imanging how it looks. "Oh where or where has my DVC card gone. Oh where or where can it be..." Does anyone have mine

we got ours about a month after we closed. I called MS and they also told me to get a temp at SSR when we get there. We got 2, since both my DH and I are on the deed

after posting my message yesterday, what arrived in the mail. my cards.

The unusual thing is that my daughter and I are both listed on the deed, of course my name first, but they were both sent to her. Oh well we have perm card. Lets all cheer now it only took 9 months, hmmm like having a baby.
