Hi everyone

Me and my partner, no kids, late 20s and from the UK are really stuck now on what to use our place holder on

We done the med cruise 3 years ago and our second cruise was a few weeks back, doing western carribean

My plan was in 2018 to do a med cruise in sept as they are normally cheaper

However as all the med cruises are earlier this year it's a lot more than we expected

So the choice is

- med cruise at start on June and a few nights in Barcelona

Or

- eastern carribean cruise at end of sept and mybe a day or two in the parks

The eastern carribean cruise is a lot cheaper but airfare is more, so there both roughly around the same price

Eastern mybe sounds a bit better but,

What my worry is going in peak hurricane season if doing the cruise, I mean I could end up with no holiday at all, what's your thoughts on this ?

All the other cruises are out of our price range apart from British isles cruise which I don't want cos one of the ports in where I live lol

Am really stuck, any advice would be great.

Thanks

In fact the Norway cruise at the end of August would be an option to but we are from Scotland and can't see it been very warm

Any advice

Average temp in Norway in august appears to be about 17 celsius...is that too cold for you? Being from Canada we are hearty souls lol!

Hmm. Can't make my mind up lol

Right enough eastern carribean does sound better lol

Fantasy is our favorite ship. Which have you been on? I would vote eastern.

Well then I'm not ruling anything out for you there! Ha! You can't put a lot of stock in the hurricane thing. It's hurricane season most of the year? We are doing our first med this september.

It was the hurricane thing putting me off a bit

U think I shouldn't let it

Im also from the UK. Honestly for you guys I'd go Caribbean. I love the Med I loved being able to do a whole season, but I always felt there was never really enough time to see and do things to justify being on a cruise, if I was to cruise. But I discovered places that I found I want to go back and do properly and spend a few days/long weekend which is do-able for us, e.g, Barcelona and Rome, although, if Im honest, that was always the plan anyway, I just had the privilege of getting paid to clarify this. Also through the Med cruises I saw places that Im glad Ive seen but wouldn't choose to rush back to...Cannes, Villefranche, Naples... I feel for most of us from the UK, the majority or Europe is so easily accessible now and can be as cheap or as expensive as you want.
If you weren't from the UK I'd say hands-down the Med though.

Ive worked 3 Septembers in the Caribbean and I cant remember weather really being an issue, apparently some say its starting to cool down, but I don't really feel it, and you're from Scotland right?...haha
Plus you get Castaway which is a port where most things are included, and St Thomas which is one of my personal favourite ports.

But then Norway is stunning, and I'd say that is worth a cruise. If I was to go back to Norway I'd want to cruise it if I could. But Im with you, Id want somewhere where Im guaranteed some warmth at some point in the year haha!

Thats just me. Go for the one that stands out more for you, even if its just by a little bit!

Haha! In that case I hope you enjoy it lol!
I loved the Med, but I felt a little close to home! If it's going to cost around the same, do the Caribbean and the parks - its like two holidays in one!
Normally if anyone was asking Classic over Dream class ship, I'd always go with a classic haha.

But I suppose it depends on what you enjoy too. Think of it this way: The Med is port intensive, more of a city feel, potential a lot of walking, and tends to be longer days without trying. The Caribbean, while you can have those kinds of PAs if thats what you want, it tends to have a more chilled, relaxed, beach day kind of feel.
I have friends that only do city breaks because that what they like and they feel they got the most for their money. Then other don't.

Whatever you do! I hope you enjoy it!

We love beaches and cocktails best lol

Well that's we booked the eastern carribean trip for September 22nd 2018

Can't wait, I just hope I don't have nearly a two year countdown for nothing though and pray the weather doesn't cancel our cruise

The ports do look lovely night enough. It's going to be my 30th bday to and it's our last big trip before we settle down more so it better happen lol

In your situation, I'd vote for the Eastern Caribbean as well, especially if you really want to experience the ship. Those first 3 days (embarkation day and then 2 sea days) are magic. Adding on the days at WDW really is a good idea as well, but I'd do them before the cruise if I were you. Plus, lots of beaches nearby before/after the cruise if you wanted to add a beach day or two. Even Clearwater Beach is only about 1 and 1/2 hours drive from WDW.
