We are to arrive around 7 am into MCO first of feb for our honeymoon and first time at disneyworld. We are excited, but never thought of a couple of things. We wanted to hit a park for a bit after getting to our resort AKL. We have 5 pm Dinner ADR'S at Boma then we have tickets to the new Pirate and Princess party and will need to go to the room and change into party gear and be at MK by no later than 7 pm. I hear it can take a while from MCO to the resorts, but also the luggage can take a while. My first question is will we get to the resort in time to go into a park for a bit before heading back to dinner? Also how crowded is it usually that time of year start of feb? Last is do you think my luggage will arrive in time for us to get our party gear out for that night? Sorry for all the questions I just did not want to have any trouble on our Honeymoon and ME sounds good since we are only doing Disney as far as we know. Can always rent a car later if we decide to do a day at Islands of Adventure which is HIGHLY doubtful since we are there to Honeymoon in Disney. I just wanted to make sure I more than likely would have my luggage and get some opinions if I will make it in way more than enough time before my adr's start that evening. Thank you for your time and help. :bride:

You can count on your luggae being at your resort by not later than about 11:00 a.m. HOWEVER, if I were you I'd bring my "party gear" in my carry-on, just in case the AIRLINE delays my luggage. Better safe than sorry.

If you arrive at MCO at 7:00 a.m., chances are you're at AKL by 8:30 or earlier. So yes, you should have plenty of time to hit a park and be back in time to change and frshen up before your 5:00 p.m. dinner at your resort.

Thank you. Yes I was trying to avoid the having to stuff a change of clothes for before we head to the park and costumes for the party into a carry on, but better safe than sorry. This is our first time going to anything like this so doing a costume gig when it is not halloween is a first for us lol. It sounds like it will be fun. We just wanted to make sure we were not going to be hard pressed for time if we were getting in that early. Being at AKL by 8:30 sounds great. It even sounds like we maybe able to grab a bite of breakfast somewhere before the park or at the park. We figured we wouldnt be in the park till around 11, but from going by your judgements it sounds like we should have almost a full day. Hopefully there will be a room ready when we get there would be nice to check in freshen up then hit the parks, but if not we will just use a restroom in the lobby to change into some fresh clothes and head out into a park. Hate wearing the same thing after riding in a plane for over 4000 miles lol makes you feel icky. MK is emh that morning so we may either hit that park or maybe AK. Not sure what would be best to do the first day. We are very excited and judging by your judgements sounds like we will have no probs and get a full day basically. Thank you for your help. One less stress, now just gotta worry about getting to the check in for ME. I notice delta is on the other terminal from where the ME check in is at. Will they wait for us? I hate to get lost in the airport trying to find it and we miss our bus. We know nothing about MCO. :bride: I should have said costumes lol party gear sounded wayyyyyy off track opps :rotfl:

With DME, you are not assigned an exact bus (on the arrival leg). When you check in, you will be told which queue to get in for a bus to your resort. But there's no SPECIFIC bus you must get on. You just simply wait for the next bus for your resort. In other words, the drivers do not have a passenger list and no bus will be held for you, so don't worry, you won't miss your bus and you won't be holding anyone up if you take a few extra minutes or even a few extra hours!

You are assigned a specific bus for your trip back to MCO but the bus will not be held even one minute for missing guests. The driver won't even call out your name to see if you're there. That could cause a problem, Mears uses DCL buses and even regular Mears buses as needed. A guest might not realize the DCL bus is actually the designated DME bus.
