ME departure question

We've booked a last minute trip and ended up with a change of resort for our last night that we're hoping to to get changed so we won't have to move our last night. (I've been told that this will likely be a possibility as we get closer to the room-only cancellation date). Because of this we have only made arrangements for ME for arrival at this point. My question is, how far in advance do we need to make our ressies for departing using ME? Can this be done right before we leave for WDW, or even at the resort after we arrive? I'm sure this has been answered, but I can't seem to find this info anywhere.

You really should just add it now, with the resort you are currently going to be leaving from. When you arrive at MCO, and go to the DME welcome/checkin desk, they will ask if you are still leaving from xyz resort. You can tell them at that point where you will need to be picked up at.
Yes, you could wait until you get there to add your departure, but I just like to have it all on record before I get there.

For ME going home, routine modifications can be made as late as the morning on the day before checkout day, although prefereably sooner.

"Emergency" modifications may be made later on a case by case basis where you are willing to take an earlier bus in case the best bus is fully booked.

For a different resort on just your last night, get your ME reservation sheet and bus vouchers as soon as you get to that resort if you did not get them sooner. It would be better not to go to a park first thing that day and make your first appearance at the resort in the evening.
