McDonald's Disney Glasses

I've been so excited about getting these glasses! My McDonalds said we weren't going to be getting them here in Canada? Is that true? Are they being sold to any of you?

I don't have a picture.. but they've had tons of commercials on t.v. lately, promoting them. They're part of the 100 Years of Magic promotions. They're apparently just like the 2000 ones that came out. I don't understand why they aren't available to us.

Sorry, Sandiebean, my McD's also said, "No". When I asked about maybe in the future, she said, she hadn't heard of them, so, probably another "No". I'm disappointed, too. I was hoping to get them-I'd even solicited the help of my co-workers!

It's so frustrating that there are so many promotions that us Canadians are not allowed to partake in. This is very bad marketing and pr on the part of McDonald's and Disney as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully someone will come to their senses and realize that we should be entitled to these glasses here in Canada.

Do you think it's a Disney or McDonald's decission not to have the glasses in Canada? I have friends who work at a Walmart McDonald's and they never heard of *trading nights* for the 'extremely disappointing figures' either. I'm taking the kids to McDonald's tomorrow to meet friends and I'm sure we'll end up with a few more Happy Meal toys. When they are in those white bags it only makes the kids disappointed when they don't get the characters they want. I'm not terribly impressed with this McDonalds/Disney promotion. We much prefer beanies, Barbies, Peter Pan boat (got 2 complete sets thanks to get friends), the under three toys are great, we ended up with some Fisher Price keepers! Sandra

I was so dissappointed to hear that we can't get the glasses here!

I have 2 sets of the old collection and had no problem getting them a couple of years ago but I wonder why they aren't being sold here? Grrrrrr!

during both the 25th anniversary and 2000 celebrations, the glasses were available in the US for several weeks before they came into Canada.

I also remember a few years ago when they sold the three Disney CDs that it was several months after the US promotion started before we got them here.

We actually had the 2000 celebration glasses here in Canada well in London before any of my friends in the US had them in their McDonalds we have friends in South Carolina and Tennessee and in New Jersey and Atlanta and we had our glasses the entire set before the even had them in the McDonalds down there so I am suprised we didn't see them here first I was told at the Mickeys up the street from me we will be getting them

Hi Folks;

I just called Regional Office in London and got the: "Not that we know of. Sorry." response.

I remember getting the other sets at exactly the same time as the US, too.


I haven't been able to find an email address so we can inundate the head offices with email.

Doesn't look good. And I was really hoping to get them, too.

See! That's what is annoying me more than anything else. Every person at McDonald's that you talk to, is telling a different story. At the SAME McD's.. I asked the Manager who said "Well the last glasses WE got.. and the States didn't". I said. "No.. that's not true", to which he responded. "Oh". The 2nd person that morning said "We didn't get the last ones either." Again, I said... "No.. that's not true." She again argued.

The next day, I asked someone else who said "We aren't getting them, as far as I know". Yet someone else asks and they say.. "We'll get them in the next few weeks".
