May the Force be with who? A May 2013 PTR

According to Robo's map HERE, The parade launches from near KJ, loops around the front of the park, then around to Asia, through the back, and exits near KJ.

That means we might be able to watch from the front of the park then leave once it passes!

I'm devastated...

I just found out through Touring Plans' chat that my sandwich is gone. My shrimp po'boy is off the menu.

One of the things I look forward to at WDW and it's gone. I can get over rides, but not this!

Sorry about the sandwich. That would be devastating. I love shrimp po'boys too.

going to a park on your last day? Yup... sounds good to me. :thumbsup2 especially since your flight is that evening. We often do that. I actually prefer it. The last two trips I have taken though..it has been checkout of hotel and no park time. :sad2: I don't like that as much.

Sorry to hear about your sandwich. Never fun when items we love get removed from a menu.

LOL. Thanks for the offer, but I don't think we'll make it over there.

The only hotel DH wants to tour is AoA and I've got to find a way to work that in, too.

YES is definitely out, so DS has decided that he wants to do the pirate adventure that launches from BC. I think I'm going to plan it on the day that EP is projected to have AM EMH. We'll all go into the park for EMH, activate DS's ticket, then either DH or I will walk him back to BC for the pirate launch. That way we can get him FPs for the times he'll be back later in the in day.

I had been throwing around the idea of the pirate adventure that launches from GF, but that would be a LONG way to go from MK on Memorial Day. We wouldn't get anything done!

You know.....they do a Bayou Pirate Adventure out of POR. Just thought I'd point that out. :rolleyes1

Crowds are supposed to be higher when we're there (reading mostly 7's) and I'm worried about what we'll get done.

Plus, I'm really digging the plan of activating DS's ticket then grabbing him fastpasses for either Soarin' or MS.

Hmmmm.....higher crowds than expected. I hope that it isn't too bad for you.

We'll be okay. That's part of the reason we're staying where we are. DH was adamant about "no early mornings". When we were talking the other night, I told him that none of the parks are likely to open before 8a and he perked up and said, I can do 8a.

If I get him up and going, no crowds scare me!

This of course is the up side of having a wishy washy spouse who changes their mind (and your plans) all the time. Sometimes it washes out in your favor! :cool1:

Oh, and don't ask how I know this....... :cool2:

Of course Janet... you NEVER speak from experience! ;)

He was just mad because on two different trips I made reservations EARLY and we had to be out the door by 6:30. He made me promise no early mornings so I've been doing my best to not make things too early and I've done pretty good.

I've been looking over the menus at AK and I've come to the conclusion that there is NOTHING that I can eat there (that's not a burger). :(

I've contacted the people at special diets to ask for help.

I noticed that the page said to only contact them if you don't have a "common" food allergy or intolerance which is different from in the past. It says to just list your allergy when you make your ADRs. They said to only contact them if your allergy doesn't fit in the list they had provided (which I fall under). I'm assuming that food allergies are so common now that they were getting overrun with the more common ones.

E and I noticed on our December 2011 trip that the info we submitted to special diets never made it to our ressies. :sad2: I may submit the paperwork but also add them to our ADRs, too.

I want to celebrate DH's birthday with a SMALL cake. I have originally reserved a small cake for our dinner at Le Cel, then I realized I was stupid to miss out on the creme brulee and the chocolate moose.

So...

POLL: What meal should I do the cake at since I'm NOT doing it at Le Cel?
a. 50sPT (dinner)
b. CRT (dinner)
c. Sanaa (dinner)
d. H&V (lunch)
e. Mama Melrose (dinner)

That's a hard pick. Is there one of those meals/restaurants where the dessert menu doesn't excite you? If so, that's the one I would go with for the birthday cake.

Special diets responded to my email with a form letter...

I'd like to do it sooner than later in the trip. I'm really leaning towards CRT... :scratchin

CRT it is. :thumbsup2

I understand that so many people have dietary requirements now that WDW restaurants all have menu options to cater for everyone. I'd be interested to find out from you if this is the actual truth or not.
