Grrrr, it must be my new camera (high megapixels). It showed it on photobucket. Weird, I'll try again if you guys will be patient with me.

I see I wasn't the only one making these things today. I showed my sister mine and she wants one for her daughter - maybe when I get back - lol.

I found the cars material today but not the Lightin' McQueen by himself. Can I ask where you found that? - my niece would love it!!

Thanks.

Noah realized today that I was going on the cruise without him- OMG, I feel SO horrible. I feel like the worst mom ever! I've been talking about going by myself for months now- but he thought it was he and I without Dad. :headache: I've been on the verge of tears since he realized what is going on- he is so heart broken.:sad1:

Excuse the pens, I haven't gotten my dowel yet. And, true to my son...;) , it's crooked.:hippie:

It's a little different than the others, same dimensions, but the pockets are just a little bigger (deeper).

Super, super cute.

I spoke with T Mobile today about calling on my phone from the ship. They currently do not have any information for ships with DCL- but they said the rate would be $4.99 or less. If I make calls from Spain, Italy, or France- the cost is 0.99 per minute. I can receive text messages for free and send them for 0.35. I have a blackberry with blackberry internet- I can send and receive unlimited emails for 19.00 per month- or about $10 for two weeks- which will allow me to send photos to my family from my phone. NOT too shabby and less than what DCL will charge me for 15 minutes of time on their computers!

We would love to meet other Disney Fans too! We are in 8012 and 8014 down the hall, is there still room during the wine tasting in the Roy O suite?

Welcome aboard....

The more the merrier..... ;)

The guest list on the website has been updated again. I've been away from the DISboards for a while, so I didn't realize that people were PMing me with changes. Thanks to everyone who was working to compile those. That was a big help!

Fortunately, I think most people were using the website to send in changes, so I had all of those. No idea why my email address was bouncing messages back. I've received a lot of changes over email (not using the webform). What address were you using?

I suggest checking the list to make sure everything is correct. As I said, changes were coming in through three different methods, so I want to make sure I didn't miss anyone.

There are still some people on the list in GTY status. Have you all checked to see if you have a room number?

Also, as far as port upgrades, does anyone have a clever idea as to how we can pass that info along to everyone? I was unable to give a Xmas present to some DISers on our last cruise because I wasn't aware of their new room number. I'll have my laptop with me, so I assume I'll still be able to update the website. What about leaving a note at our door (8028) if your room number changes and then I can try and get that info online before the next morning? Any better or simpler ideas?

Jen

Announcing the First Magical Med Cruise Scavenger Hunt!!!

:cheer2: :sail: :cheer2:

On a previous cruise, another DISboarder made a photo scavenger hunt for the group, and I thought it was loads of fun. Really forced me to explore some parts of the ship I'd never been to before. So, on our last cruise, I took a bunch of pictures so that I could make one for this cruise. And even better, the winner will have a $25 Disney Gift Card delivered to their stateroom!

1) Please print out the Scavenger Hunt Form before you leave home. It's 4 pages long (3 pages of photos and questions with a final answer sheet). I know some people are sailing on the Repo Cruise and will already be underway, so I will bring a few extra copies. But hopefully, you should be able to print a copy onboard. Just leave a note at our room (8028) if you're in desperate need of a copy. Also, the photos have all been changed to black & white so that someone with a color printer won't have an advantage.

2) Answer sheets must be turned in no later than Sunday, June 3 to room 8028. Be sure to include your name and room number. If there is a tie (and I tried to include enough questions so that it's less likely), the winner will be randomly selected from amongst the top-scoring entries. NOTE - You only need to turn in the final sheet with your answers.

3) All questions are worth one point unless otherwise indicated. For the images, be as specific as possible when describing the location. If it's not clear, your answer may not be accepted.

4) For #32, I took this photo on our cruise in December when this advertisement for the Med cruises was onboard. It's possible that the ad is no longer there. I'll check, and if that's true, I won't award any points for this question. So, even if you know where the ad used to be, you won't receive any points because that wouldn't be fair to others who didn't have the chance to see it on an earlier cruise.

5) You may use any and all resources onboard, except for other DISboarders competing in the Scavenger Hunt.

6) I'm not going to limit this to one entry per stateroom. I realize that there may be several people in a room who want to compete. However, it's not fair for 5 people to work together and then turn in 5 answer sheets. If you work together as a group (whether it's 2 people, 5 people, or 10 people), please just submit one answer sheet for your group. Otherwise, you'd have an advantage over an individual who completes it on their own. And since there's no way to enforce that, you're on your honor to play fair and follow the rules.

7) If you are on the Repo Cruise, you're also on your honor not to start playing until the First Med Cruise begins. Those extra two weeks would be an unfair advantage.

8) If you have any questions about the contest, please contact me (by PM or email at jenstamey@alumni.virginia.edu).

This information has also been posted to the website at http://mysite.verizon.net/nejthelion/onboard.htm.

Happy Hunting!!
