How's everyone today?
Looks like rain here, but hasn't started yet -- just a dreary day.
Phyllis ((PPAL)) and I have been doing some clothes shopping for 'our boys'. Might as well clear out the clearance rack and get them some clothes for our trip.
Does anyone know about the dining dress code? Do they boys have to wear dress pants or will dress shorts be appropriate?
I'm off to grocery shop... eeek, being on a diet and buying food just doesn't work LOL
Enjoy the day!
Hi everyone!
We've had a very rainy summer....

at least the lawns haven't burned. lol
My days of school clothes shopping are over. DSs shop for their own clothes, and only younger DS is still in school (college). I hope you found some good sales!
Regarding dress code, I know that people tend to be looser with the guidelines when it comes to kids, than adults. I know that your DS won't be turned away if he's wearing shorts. When we cruised when my sons were younger, they'd wear a pair of khaki pants with a polo or button down shirt. On formal and semi-formal nights they wore their suits, but they already owned suits, I didn't go out and buy them just for the cruise.
Ugh, don't mention diet.

LOL I haven't really quite started yet. In 2 weeks I'll be in NJ on vacation and visiting family....so... I'm thinking that when I return, that would be a good time to get serious about a diet. Yeah. That sounds good.

LOL
Has anyone booked a pre-cruise hotel yet? I booked the Marriott Marquis. I had to book it myself instead of through
DCL because they wouldn't allow DH and I, and DS and DGF share 1 room even though the hotel itself would. My TA called DCL and they said they can't do it because our 4 names are listed on 2 different reservations.

So....I booked it myself on the Marriott web site. It comes out less to book the 4 of us into 1 room, than to book 2 rooms through DCL. If you are only a party of 2, then the DCL rate is pretty good, compared to the hotel rate. Oh well. I figure it's part of the overall trip. I also added the DCL transfers for the hotel to port. I know that we can get a taxi cheaper, but we like the idea of letting the bus take our luggage and then we don't have to deal with it until it gets delivered to our staterooms. When I first heard that DCL was sailing from NYC, I didn't think it'd cost us as much as flying to Florida.

I realize that it doesn't have to cost this much...but... I keep making myself crazy going back and forth, considering other options.
