Happy Weekend!!

How's everyone doing?

How's the FE coming along?

No one added to our cruise :((

Hi everyone! We will be sailing on the Magic out of NYC on May 25th. This is our first cruise but we have been to WDW several times. We are Canadian and enjoy the warmth of Florida in the winter! We are very excited.....well, I must confess, I am very excited and near driving myself crazy researching and thinking about this cruise!
My family includes:

Me- Stacey (st8y)
I love everything Disney and have such fond memories of watching tinkerbell come across my TV screen every Sunday. And to think I am sailing with Mickey soon! Dreams do come true.

Hubby- Greg
He pretends he is not Disney fantical but gets all dopey around the princesses!

Son- Drew 13
He is looking forward to the cruise but I worry that he won't like the Edge. He is social but shy.

Daughter- Grace 9
She is definitely a princess! Her favourite is Belle.

I am hoping for a great family trip and that the kids like the clubs. Our family is very busy with sports year round so I am hoping that my husband & I can have some time together.
We are driving to NYC...it's about a 12 hour drive. Wondering if anyone can reccommend a hotel north of NYC about an hour drive away. Or are there any park & ride hotels?
Can't wait!

Welcome!!!

This is our first Disney cruise, and I believe you, when you say you are excited, as are we!

We've cruised before and my daughter, 8, loves it!! She went on her first in May to Bermuda and I couldn't get her out of the Kids Club on board.

She's already talking about the Club onboard Disney.

I see that your daughter is 9, i'm sure she'll love it as mine does.

:) Keep in touch - welcome again!

There are many just off the NYS Thruway south of Albany....AAA usually has a pretty good book if you are a member. will you guys be joining us for the Fish Extender gift exchange? If so, I will need a PM with most of the information you listed above, plus one more thing...

I need your
Dis Name
Real Name
Cabin #
Who is sailing with you
any restrictions or allergies (some folks give food items)

I am due to post an update soon - the list is available on a google doc that is locked (another cruise has a huge mess on their hands from too many folks editing the document...)

I will see if I can find a post as to excatly WHAT a FE is...I will edit this if I find one :)

Happy Weekend!!

I worked for part of the storm - did fine....roads were soggy, but overall it wasn't too bad for me. I drive for a living...so I HAD to be out in the storm.

I have been away (vacations!!! WOO HOO!!! P-Town on Cape Cod, 11 days at WDW) and now school is grabbing a lot of time...so my apologies for not posting the list sooner - I should get the update out by Thursday (so far no real changes...but we have time!)

:goodvibes Hello everyone, was just stoping in to say a quick hi :wave2: Time is busy with the girls in school, home schooling the boys, church, sports etc... I finally decided on my FE gifts :thumbsup2 Now I just have to get them done once we have the final count. :teacher:

I do have to admit that this is one of the slowest group threads that we have been apart of...our last group we had to close out 2 times and were near the end of the third one. We had over 200 post a week. :scared1: So this is a new thing for me :upsidedow So i'm trying not to post to often to scare you all off :rotfl: Will check in often...big group :grouphug:

Hi everyone :wave2:

Both of our previous Disney cruises had very, very active threads. Each group has its own momentum, I guess. :) I'm thinking/hoping that after the new year this thread might pick up a little. :surfweb:

Post away.. I check here daily, well most mornings anyways ...
I don't wanna be a chatterbox either! LOL

Believe me, ask Phyllis! (PPAL)

Anyways - getting chilly here in the mornings, it's sweatshirt weather.

I'm soooo excited to be going on this cruise!

How's everyone else doing?

I have been lurking here. I check the boards several times a day. I am so excited but my family thinks I'm crazy.
We will be driving from New Brunswick, Canada to NYC. It's a 12 hour drive...not really looking forward to that!

Good Morning, Georgette, Dolores, Jody, Kristina, Amanda, Lindymom, Nancy, jjb42974, Heidi, Robb & Chelsea, Patti, Jodie, Karen, Cristin, Carolyn, Maria, Cayla, DeAna, Rebecca, Stacey, Gina, Phyllis, Stacey, and everyone's families and sailing mates!!!!!!!!!! :grouphug: :sunny: :grouphug:

I hope that I didn't leave anyone out! If you don't see your name there, please let me know. I read all of the names on Post #1, so if you need to be added, just let me know and I'd be happy to do so. :surfweb:

Our cruise is 33 weeks from today!!!!!!!!! :yay: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cloud9: pirate: :bride: :wizard: princess: :hippie:

I don't really have any more plans made than I did a couple of months ago. Currently we have 2 hotels in NYC booked for the pre-cruise; I currently have DCL bus transfers for the morning of the cruise (hotel to port) but may end up using taxis instead; still don't know exactly what we'll end up doing in Nassau (maybe Ardastra Gardens or Blue Lagoon Beach Day); definitely will be going to WDW on our Port Canaveral Day :cool1: ; and then hoping for a very relaxing day on Castaway Cay. I'd love to book a cabana on Serenity Bay, but I'm not sure if I want to do that OR use that money for some couples' spa appointments. :cloud9:

At least we still have a lot of time to decide... :scratchin

It's turning "fall" here right now... nice weather...and supposed to warm up a bit this weekend. I kind of like the fall, I like the crispness in the air, the smell of fireplaces burning, etc.... but then I really hate the winter :cold:

So how are all of you doing?? Have any plans for the weekend?? I was sick earlier this week so I think my plan is to stay home and relax. Maybe bake, do some laundry, etc...

Come on everyone, let's get some life in to this thread!! :cool1: :cheer2: :flower3: :woohoo: :yay:

Howdie!!

All is well here on my end..

My Mom Dolores had surgery today -- she'll be joining us next year.

She had major back surgery and all went fine, she's out and in recovery and resting. It'll be a long haul, I'm sure, and lots of pain meds! hehehe

Other than that... I'm waiting for fall to arrive, it's been about 75-80, for at least the past 3 days.. Shorts haven't even been put away yet.

I love fall, it's my favorite, but when it's 80, it's hard to decorate with leaves!

Have a good Monday all :)

Speak soon!

I know it's early but I'm wondering what night will be the best for Palo reservations? I don't want to miss the Animator's show or Pirate night. And do you reccomend early or late dinner (our kids are 13 & 9)?

What is everyone doing for Nassau excursions?

Is Palo worth the reservations??

I requested early dining, I believe.

We also are going to Atlantis during our Bahamas stay. I can't wait!

Unsure if we are booking a tour thru the cruise line or doing it another way.
I'm sure we have plenty of time.

I'm glad to hear that your mom's surgery went well. I hope that she has a speedy recovery with minimal pain.

Palo is definitely worth it!! We've done the brunch, tea, and dinner. Brunch is my favorite, but dinner is a very close second. ::yes::

I don't know what the best night would be for Palo. I'm going to grab whatever reservations that I can get.

The "show" at Animator's is only on your first night there, so if you can get a Palo reservation for the 4th night or later, then you won't miss it.

If we knew what night Pirate Night was going to be, then you could plan Palo for another night, but if you end up with Palo on the same night, you could always go to your regular dining room, and then go to Palo, or vice versa, depending on which dining seating you have. We're the first NYC/Bahamas cruise, so we're the guinea pigs.

On our previous cruises (DCL and Royal Caribbean) we've done late dining, but we chose early dining for this cruise. I think that they both have pros and cons.

Nassau.... I keep going back and forth on what to do there. :scratchin I haven't made a final decision yet. lol

Please take us off all the cruise lists, we have cancelled this cruise. Alex

Alex - Sorry to hear...hope all is well....
I will tell Michael, and take you off the FE list.
