It shouldn't be too late to take Magical Express. I have, in the past, forgotten to book ME until about a week before our trip, and was still able to take it with no problem. They were not able to get the packet that comes in the mail out to us in time, with the luggage tags and voucher for our ride, but they told me all I had to do was show up at the counter and give my name and they would print up vouchers for us. They even took our luggage claim checks and retrieved our luggage for us and delivered it to our rooms without them having the Disney tags in advance. They must have printed some on the spot or something. Not sure, just know we didn't have any trouble. I ended up forgetting again this trip, but decided to get the car at the airport instead of the next day so it worked out fine.

Thanks. Good to know but my plans have changed. I'm not going May 1st with my DM, Dsis, an nephew. My DM, my DD13, and I will be going around May 28th to June 5th. Now I have to cancel a few car ressies.

Just letting everyone know that the rates for Alamo have gone down on the Costco site every day for the last 3 days.

Today I booked a full size for $428 inc. taxes for 5/23-6/8. Yesterday it was about $30 more.

I did have a cheaper rate using the Dollar city special ($350) but I really needed the free additional driver that I got by booking with Costco.

I also noticed that the Budget rates from Costco had gone down, although they were not as cheap as Alamo. So if you have booked with Costco you might want to check and see if you can save some $$$!!!

I must be too close or renting for too short of time because my rates haven't budged.

Keep in mind that if you reserve a standard car there is no standard aisle and you will choose from the full size aisle. Sometimes you can reserve a standard for a few dollars less than a full size. Every little bit counts.

I have had a reservation for a full size with Dollar for May 28-June 10th for $315, but was able to get a full size with Alamo for $369 using the codes mentioned above; SW code 7016105 and coupon AD2338FDF for $30 off. Seems like a pretty good deal!

I've had Dollar booked for a while now for about $173 (May 10th-18th) which I thought was pretty good.

Just used the two Alamo codes (SW code 7016105 and coupon AD2338FDF) and got the same dates for $133 after taxes!

I just checked to see if the standard was cheeper and the price has dropped again I reserved a standard for 142 taxes included.Full size is only a couple more but you are right may as well save the couple dollars.

Finally!!! A bit of a a break!!!

Was able to improve my $313 with National using the KLM code.

Used the SW code 7016105 and coupon AD2338FDF for Alamo and got it down to $293 for May 20th - May 30th.

I have had a reservation for a full size with Dollar for May 28-June 10th for $315, but was able to get a full size with Alamo for $369 using the codes mentioned above; SW code 7016105 and coupon AD2338FDF for $30 off. Seems like a pretty good deal!

So I just tried these codes again 12 hours later and low and behold it dropped another $39...same days and times and I am now at $330 for the reservation and just $15 from where I was at with Dollar. It is a no brainer to stay with Alamo at this point....super excited, 30 days and counting!

Thank you so much for your post! I was pretty sure that I was going to be stuck with my Budget reservation for $176 for 8 nights, but thanks to you, I now have an Alamo reservation for $127- woo hoo!

Anyone know how to reset the Contract ID section on Alamo's website? I put in the Visa contract ID to see if it was cheaper that the WDW AP one and now it seems like it's locked on the Visa one. It doesn't give me the option to put in a new contract ID.

On second page where you choose car type click edit than there should be remove next to contract id

I've had the same thing happen with the Visa code, but not on other codes. Clicking 'edit' on the next page didn't work either, seems it does get 'locked' on that darn Visa code. Try logging out of the Alamo site, or close out your browser and open a new one.

I beat my $11/day rate with Dollar for 5/18 to 5/21. Alamo's daily rate is $15/day but I used Coupon Code AD4196JDG for $10 off a weekend rental plus signed in to Alamo Insiders for an additional 10% off. Total is $52 including all taxes and fees. It was $58 with Dollar. I like using the self service Kiosk with Alamo too so I don't need to stand in a crazy line
