Hi Everyone

I ve noticed that many people getting married a round this time have already contacted Disney Weddings to discuss their plans.

I was just wondering if they re able to assist with booking anything at this stage yet? Do they send any info packs out to you? Have they been able to pencil in any booking especially relating to WP??

When are your dates??

Yeah, another May 09 Bride! I am actually going to call DFTW tomorrow! I am very excited, but also nervous (I don't like talking on the phone!). I don't think they can book anything for you this far out, but I just want to talk to someone about it! I am already getting crazy wedding fever .

We are hoping for May 28, 2009, and hoping for the wedding pavillion. We will be doing an escape wedding. What are your plans?

Well we celebrate 5 years in May 2009 and who knows we may do a VR back at Disney but I also turn 40 not 3 weeks before so I'm still unsure as to whether or not celebrate my 40th or do a nice small Escape VR or LOL both?

Anyways from memory if you are planning on having a inpark ceremony or reception it used to be that you could book (sign the contract) 12 months out and then for ceremonies and receptions outside of the themeparks then you sign at 8 months out so certainly you'd need to be talking to DFTW department before those time frames for sure

May really is a beautiful month to get married in Disney, but of course I'm biased

We contacted Disney Weddings tonight.

I had to get my df to phone as i probably would of started freaking out down the phone as i ve been planning my wedding for sooooooo long so just getting to this stage for me is very overwhelming. Im soooooo excited .

They ve said for WP it cant be booked till the 8 month mark , that at the moment they dont have any prices for 2009 so its too early for them to start putting dates to paper . Still they ve taken all of our details & a co ordinator is gonna give us a call within the next 3/7 days so i cant wait for that phone to start ringing. The lady said they ll be able to answer any Q's we have & be able to give us more idea of time scales etc. I just wish i could book WP now, 8 months out seems like such a short time when thinking about everything in that time scale that needs planning.

We ve already booked Randy & are starting to get in contact with Ministers etc. We re going to WDW this Oct for a planning session so im booking Beaute Speciale for a trial hair & makeup run.

I just hope the next few months fly by so i can finally book W.P

Feline, I booked a Custom wedding (now called a Wishes) back in September 2003 for our May 2004 wedding - we had only just got engaged and I had my pick of locations for my possible dates but I must admit I was looking at the WP.

But honestly don't feel too concerned about waiting until the 8 month mark, every other past Disney bride who wants the WP has gone through the exact same thing and had to wait.

Of course it's easy for me to say this I'm sure if I had got engaged longer than just the month before we were ready to book maybe I would have felt panic'd as well.

Here's hoping that DFTW come back to you over the next week for chatties - I can tell you are very excited and it's really endearing!

Thankyou so much for your lovely words & advice, you re dead right I am oh sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo very excited . I tend to go on total hyper mode when i think Disney & especially once i start on wedding talk. Its like i get possesed & some Disney mad women takes complete control of my body .

I think the problem with me is that we ve been waiting so long just to get to this stage, i ve planned everything to a "t" so am way too eager to get that location & date secured.

Its funny cos when my DF first suggested a Disney wedding i was a little blahsay about it, i was like "ok it sounds fun" but then i looked in to it & more importantly found these boards & since then i ve become a Disney Nut.

Every one that knows me thinks im mad as i love Disney so much, they all think im a big kid. 27 Years old but more like 5 . Still i love it, all the plannings so far been a lot of fun im just a tad bit impatient which is my downfall . Still fingers crossed time will fly by

Thanks Sam i need all the fingers crossed & good luck sent my way in the world so i appreciate you being so bouncy. Im a pretty mad gal so I easily get a lill Disney excited, it does nt take much for me to start .

I cant wait to get my TR up & running but im gonna hold off till i get our date & location officialised, that way i can get super excited. I ve got sooo many plans so i just hope everything runs to clockwork
