I don't know how I'm going to get through the winter. I HATE WINTER! And knowing it's in the way of my cruise makes it worse!
I already have the Port Canaveral Cam bookmarked. I'll pretend I'm the one standing on the veranda during the sail away.

I am so glad school/sports started this past week. It's going to help these next few months go by alittle quicker. With 3 kids in 3 different schools it makes for some pretty busy days, hopefully before I know it the end of the school year will be approaching and HERE WE COME DCL!!!!!!!

I'm with you on the whole winter thing. It's a long almost 9 months...hopefully it goes pretty quickly.

Same here lol about how long away it is but not the winter thing since I live in Orlando =) Thats why I been working on FE to keep me busy so the time will go fast. I'm starting to come up with Ideas =)

Does anyone know if you order the DVD from DCL does it have the Dream on it? The one I currently have just has "mock ups" of what it will look like when it is done, and not true video.
I want to include that in the "Surprise Box" so we can all watch it together after they open it.

thats a great Idea!!! the New 2012 DVD should be coming out soon I would call them and ask =)

I tried to call and ask but the reservationist that I spoke with said that usually are not given that information. I just ordered another one, so I am crossing my fingers it is a new one!

awww good luck!!! this year I surprise my godson and his family with the disney trip on the dream. That was this pass May. We did not tell the kids anything just that we where going to the beach that week so as we drove to the beach I was recording and telling them about disney new boat. They saw the disney boat and wanted to get closer to see it.We drove right in front of the boat and let them know that we where not going to the beach but insted going on the dream they ask me if I was playing a joke on them (I love what little kids say lol) when I told them no we are really going they where very happy but still where asking if i was play since I am know to play jokes lol they had a blast!!

Just wanted to say that we have had to cancel our cruise. Due to money situations, we are unable to go now, but we are going to go to Disney World instead. Hope you all have a great time!!

Hello everyone! We have booked for this "Mother's Day" cruise! It will be me, Becky (DW), my husband Brian (DH), our kids (DS17, DD14, DGS8) and my sister Roberta, her husband Greg, and their 3 kids (DD19, DD16, DS9). It is our 2nd Disney cruise, and my sister & her families' first. This is a surprise to our kids and hers, for Christmas! It's been a big undertaking of planning, as we live on different sides of the US, we have called & text enough to own stock in AT&T! and done enough "coded talk so our kids woukdn't know what the heck we're talking about, we could start a new language!! So we are excited!!
I think we would like to both participate in the FE (I was in charge of our last DCL cruises', so I'm pretty familiar about them, and I'll let my sister know too), so I will get on the FE list. I'm excited they're are alot of kids too, both our kids will be thrilled to make new friends. Can't wait to meet you all!!

You will all have to keep us updated on your suprises and how they went. I would have loved to do this but I just can't keep a secret

How does everyone feel about a facebook page. I have seen other groups talk about it, not sure how it works will have to do some research. I assume everyone befriends eachother then we create a group for our cruise? Not sure...But I know my kids have been asking if there is a way to talk to the other kids going so they can get to know someone before the cruise. The shorter cruises make it hard to make friends so it could be nice for them to talk prior to that. Thoughts?

FYI I have two DS's 10 and 12 at the time of the cruise and a DD 4 (but she won't be talking on facebook )

I think a Facebook page would be alot of fun, however, for me, I couldn't join it until after Christmas because of my friends and family are on there and the secret would get out!
