Hi Everyone!
We have been super busy, and I have been super sick. But I am feeling better now.
Friday, I worked at the Race for the Cure, registration site. The Little Rock Race is one of the top 10 races in the nation. We register over 40,000 women. I will be helping set up the site the rest of this week. The race is Oct. 11.
Friday night, we had a high school football game. I worked at the T-Shirt table and DH worked the gate. He was the bouncer. No kidding. They had him sort of stand to the side. He was to keep anyone from sneaking in and also allowed season pass holders in. He had his very own police officer nearby in case he needed them.

That was cracking me up. Then a couple of parents came by the T-shirt table and would say. Hey! I see your husband is the bouncer tonight.

That is actually what they call his position.
We left EARLY Sat. morning and headed to Fayetteville to watch the Hogs take a beating from Bama. This is going to be LONG season.
After the game we ate at Red Robbins. We ate there last year and it was really good and I thought it was even better this year.
Then we went to Lewis and Clark. It is an outdoors store. They have a climbing wall that you can climb for free. Dd climbed the easy and the medium level. She made to the top no problem and very quickly. She was disappointed it took her a whole 55 seconds to make it to the top.
We then we over to the Promenade shopping area to walk off our meal. It was so nice outside. After walking around a bit, we went to the theatre there to see Journey to the center of the earth, 3-D. This was the first 3-D movie I have seen at a theatre. It was in DLP and the effects were awesome.
After the movie, we wanted a pretzel from Auntie Anne's, but they were closed. So we thought we would go to Cold Stone Creamery, but the line there was HUGE!!!!

So that was out. So I said to DH there is a little gas station around by the exit going to the mall. Let's run in there and grab a few munchies.
Jo - Pay attention.
This is the nicest gas station I have ever been inside. It is a gourmet market. No kidding. It is so nice. At first the kids headed to the chip aisle, but I called them back to the bakery. There were petit fours, iced cookies, adorable cupcakes, cheesecake, slabs of fudge and gelato. I decided on the raspberry gelato. It was yummy. My son decided to get molten cake and it was too die for. I would so get that the next time I am there.
Jo- I think it was called White Oak Market. It is a gas station/bank/gourmet market. They have roasted chicken, gourmet pizza, baked goods, yummy looking breads, fruit. It is at the exit for the Embassy Suites. Very nice. You should check it out if you are ever in that area. I am not sure if that is near where you live or not.
Well, after that, it was lights out for the NewCrews.
We had a great weekend.
Now, back to our fallen tree, leaky window, leaky roof. Maybe someone will call me back this week.
