You mean that there are other places to go and see than a Disney park? :rotfl2:

yay- Shelly's here, now I have someone to talk to...

:lmao:

I am really and truly getting excited to stay at CBR. Really!! :) I know it won't be like POFQ- but I am happy to be trying a new one out. ANd besides- I might fall head over heels in love with it and have to book another trip while I'm there.

Um, not gonna happen-
Mark has informed me that this is the last for a while- he wants to take the kids to other places. Like going back to Jackson Hole- maybe the Grand Canyon, you know- *other*(????) places. And then once we go to those places- I can say "See-- we should've just gone to WDW.":rotfl: I can always leverage the Florida Football games- that should do the trick. ;) ALTHOUGH- he is the one that wanted to go this past MAY...

oh- do you think we are going to have a bad time getting our request of Aruba or Jamaica- with connecting rooms? We land really late at night- 10 pm and won't get there until around midnight I bet. I know I'll be calling days before we get there.

As far as the church thing- oh my gosh, we are really depressed- and we are in the bible belt. hahahaha. I just loved Victory- that pastor was amazing.

Are you going to any new restaurants during your January trip? I think you will like January- I just hope it isn't too cold and you can't swim...

You might have a hard time getting your request with that late of a check in. At least that's what I've always heard. You know, first come first served. . . maybe not though, CBR does have a lot of rooms.

As for new restaurants - we are trying 1900 Park Fare, Tusker House, and Plaza Restaurant. The other 3 TS we have already been to - Mama Melrose, LeCellier, and Chef Mickey's. As for CS meals - I would like to try some new ones, but it is hard with the kids being such picky eaters! So we will probably end up at the same ones as usual!

I hope KB is having a great time!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Jo - My window guy came out yesterday. He thinks the water is coming in around the exterior keystone on the dining room window. He said that the keystone is made out of concrete, concrete is very porous. When you get a hard blowing rain, especially from a different direction, like Ike and Gustav. Water will come thru the keystone if it isn't sealed. He has a house in Maumelle that has the same problem right now and he has seen it before. He is going to seal the keystones on our house. The keystone over the dining room window is the one most exposed to the elements. Of course, we have them on every window on the front of our house. He is going to seal those as well. He said they may have been sealed when the house was built, or they might have forgotten to seal the one over the dining room. Anyway, just thought I would mention it in case it would help you guys. I cannot remember if you have keystones above your windows or not.

My window guy said he knows a roofing guy. He is going to call him to see if he can help us with our roof/vent pipe issue. Our roof is so steep, he said it may be hard to get someone to help us. Sometimes the roofing guys drive up and drive off when they see the pitch of the roof.

Mornin-

had to go register the car and get drivers licenses this morning. Very simple...we were still in their system, LOL.

NC- our area is super friendly- there are so many transient-type people here that it's like a big family. Two weeks after we moved in, the ladies on our culdesac had a luncheon for me at the club. It was so sweet.
But of course, when I moved here the first time, we came from Rochester NY where I knew no one for 3 years- so coming here was a breath of fresh air.
And coming back to a place you have fond memories of is easy. If we could only find a church like we had in PA............ I am in desparate need of one I love. So far, we haven't found one close to us that is what we are looking for. We'll go back this weekend to FBC where we used to go.
It's just on the other side of town...LOL... in reality- 15 minutes at the absolute MOST- but so far away in NW Arkansas time. hahahahaha

Sooooooooo- MAri- sounds like your DSS MIGHT be in the clear????? Gosh- what a blessing that would be.

RF- my you are busy! The move is coming up quick!

Shelly- how's your plans coming?????????? I am getting excited over CBR!!!!! I can't wait to get there.

Sea- cute cute cute videos!!!!

Sooo- I got Disney Mail yesterday-----
I got my MNNSHP tickets- they are adorable. AND I got a pincode for 30% off- too bad the code I had already used was for 40% off...:confused3

anyone here anemic?????? I went to the Dr- and she couldn't find anything wrong with me as far as all of the probs I was having- all of my tests came back normal and she told me I don't need to see a Rheumotologist. :yay: I was :scared1: and
But then she told me I'm anemic. So I'm taking iron, and wellsir, I don't like it. hahaha

Okay- off to make a salmon spinach salad.

Jo

I have been anemic. Maybe I am right now, I feel tired. Just kidding, but maybe not.

Eat a lot of fiber along with those iron tablets. Hopefully in a couple of months you'll be able just to take a multi vit. with iron.

I am glad that NW AR is so welcoming. :grouphug: That is so good to hear. I hope you guys find a great church soon!!!

So I promised a quick TR from Wyoming-
I think these pics are the reason why Mark wants to go somewhere else---

LOL!

Okay so we left hereThursday morning- and at the airport found a lot of our friends from Marks' work that we hadn't had a chance to see yet. Lots of hugs all around- and we were off.

Flew into Denver and connected to Jackson- here's what we saw as we were coming in for a landing

When we were taxiing down the runway, I looked out of the window and saw AirForce two.... VP Cheney was at his home there the whole time we were there. No pic, sorry.

Got to our hotel- The Four Seasons in the Teton Village-
bvillehouse122.jpg

Beautiful hotel.
Across the street was a place you could go horseback riding- but we didn't do it.
bvillehouse120.jpg

It was lunchtime and for that meal we were on our own so we looked around the village and had lunch at an outdoor bar, overlooking the lifts-

bvillehouse126.jpg

Decided we wanted to go all the way up the lift to the top (over 9000 ft above sea level!) and up we went-

bvillehouse140.jpg

It was breathtaking- but gave me the worst headache--- oh no- back to the room for a nap-
our view from the room-

That night we had a welcome dinner in the ballroom with everyone - and off to sleep--we had an early wake up call for the morning for breakfast and then we were going on a river float on the Snake river!
Here we are on our float--- it was gorgeous- it was about 2 1/2 hrs long and at the end they had a bbq set up on the bank of the river- it was yummy.

To Be continued later--- I have to pick up the kiddos!

Jo

Great pictures JO! :goodvibes

I know what Mark means about trying new places. I love to try new things! But, we always seem to agree on Disney. We are just afraid that we will have spent all of our vacation fund and be sitting in some place wishing we were in Disney!

Hey all.... I was talking to my Dsis in law the one with my niece and she wanted to get her mickey ears with my niece name on them...i told her i'll see what i can do.

Thank you for the offer Shelly, NC, and Sea....

I know what you guys mean about going different places. I would love to go visit the carribean and mexico and such but my mind always wonders back to WDW.... I just love it there.... and we seem to have a great time when we go there....

Jo GREAT pics... it looks like a nice place to go visit....

oh did i tell you guys that i'm going to North carolina on saturday... going on a mini vacation. leaving the DD with DH... let's see how that goes.

Awesome pics of JH. I especially like the last one. Those mountains are so majestic. Can't wait to see more!

No problem Mari, I will help you out - just PM me. - Sea

We went back to the hotel and there was an antique show going on in the parking lot that we wandered around for a bit.

That night was dinner at a working horse ranch- the Diamond Cross- where the cowboy demonstrated the real Horse Whisperer technique. It was phenomenal. When we arrived- they greeted each of us and gave us a drink. They had waiters going around with appys and the band played while we watched the horses come running in from the pasture - and saw the sun go down over the mountains---- it was the best night I think I've had in a very long time.

The next morning- I had a spa day in the morning and then we went to town-downtown Jackson- and I had a really bad bad experience in a restaurant- I won't go into details, but let's just say I thought I was being kidnapped and was hysterically screaming- yes---in the restaurant:eek: ---Mark to the rescue! My Knight in Shining armour---:rotfl:
and b/c I had a bad time, After I had calmed down, he took me and bought me jewels....
Turquoise and onyx.... to wear that night with my dress-

bvillehouse245.jpg

Yes, I AM indeed rotten to the core. However, I had been traumatized so I deserved it.:rolleyes1

That night was the fancy schmancy dinner in the ballroom that I took no pics of b/c I was running a bit late in getting ready. When the dancing started and people began making fools of themselves out on the dance floor, Mark and I slipped out to the lobby for a pot of coffee by the roaring fireplace. Again, no pics, but it was beautiful.

To bed early for a 4am wakeup call to get to the airport to leave the next morning...
bvillehouse271.jpg

bvillehouse280.jpg

and that was my trip in a nutshell to Jackson Hole.

I would indeed recommend it to anyone- with and without the kids...

Jo

NC- I sure hope htat the leak is fixed by sealing the keystone! wow- that's amazing. We don't have any keystones- ours just is a plain window on hte side of the house (MC's room) and I still don't know where the water is.
LOL about the roof----- when the satellite guys came out- they had to call in back up. What is it about the steep roofs here?

Mari- oooh- north carolina is wonderful- you'll come back feeling refreshed and renewed- it's Mari time, not "Mommie" time. Every woman deserves that!

Shelly- I am right there with ya on the using the vacation fund on the unknown- it can be scary!!!!:rotfl2:

Sea- that last pic you liked was taken where Ansel Adams took his famous pic of the Grand Tetons.http://www.archives.gov/research/ansel-adams/images/aag01.jpg

Have a great night everyone!

Jo

No problem Mari, I will help you out - just PM me. - Sea
Hey Sea THANK YOU... I will call my DSIL and let her know. I will PM you after i speak to her.... Thanks....

My niece is going to LOVE it. It's funny because she was asking when they are going to WDW and my Bro just tells her he doesn't know. She is 7 now so she is into that stage. I can't wait to see her face when she sees the castle. I'm going to have my camera ready.

Morning Everyone!

Nice pics Jo! Were you guys there for business or pleasure? The sky looks so blue in those photos. My kids really want to go to Jackson Hole and do a whole dude ranch sort of thing. It is a very popular family vacation around here.

I have the dentist today. Teeth cleaning and then I'll listen to him tell me I really need to get my wisdom teeth removed. :rolleyes1

What is everyone else up to?

Wow, it's very quiet in here today.

Went to the dentist. My teeth are sparkling clean. I called the girl who cuts my hair and she had a cancellation for 12:30 so I got my haircut as well.

Now off to the school and dance.
