I just finished with the kids' bags (again) realized that DD6 doesn't have any dress shoes, so off to Target tomorrow.
I am way over packing shirts for myself, we'll see how many pants and skirts I can fit...

All that's left is DH bag (which will be done Sat. morning )
and my day bag.

By the way, how is everyone bringing their grass skirts? In their luggage or day bags? I was going to put it in my day bag, but it really sticks out.

Also, I am bringing one lightweight jacket and one sweater, is that enough or should I bring more? I'm not sure how cold it will be in the middle of the Atlantic.

Also starting 5/12, cell phone service will be available when the ship is at least 2 miles out at sea!! Cingular, AT&T, Sprint & T-Mobile services will be available. They recommend that you contact your cell phone company and international rates may apply.

Thanks Scott, why oh why do customers always send you all the information you have been after them for the week you are going away and need it done now when you have been after them for the past 3 weeks to get the informaiton to you so you can finish it befor eyou leave in lots of time. No they wait until the week I leave so I have to pull 14 hour days to get it done. Don't they realize that I have door magnets to finish, packing to do and god knows what else!!!! They are just mad that I am going on a Disney Cruise and they aren't. They are all suffering from DC envey........Repeat after me 55 hours to go, 55 hours to go........oh but I need to count that down now OK feel better now

i just figured we could all use a little laughter to relieve the stress of going on vacation!!!

Oh this sounds so much like a challenge!! Too bad I am waiting for some jobs to run on the server at work or I would be up for it. I will let you off this time.

Pat--sorry, in my panic over transfers I missed your post. I think we will be getting to the terminal right around 10:00. Then I can relax and know I have not missed the boat. Surely after all this discussion the topic of skirts will come up at the wine and cheese meet and I will have them out of that big black bag

No problem, I imagine that we will be there sometime around then also, I can't see us just sitting in the hotel room until after that. Hopefully sleep in a little eat breakfast, pack what we need to take on board into a carry on and then off we go. We should be there around then. Besides if you forget mine I can always wear yours

Yup, final bag packing going on right now, final emails, to folks, making arrangements for the lawn. One more day of work. Lynn takes the pups to puppy camp, That is what I call the kennel, tomorrow. Just a few minutes away form weighing the bags.

Wonder what I will wake up in the middle of the night thinking we forgot?

Lynn scored a grass skirt to her liking.....with some added accessories.... KEWL

Just started packing. Will make sure the bags are way under for the trip to the ship. That way we will have room for all the "stuff" we aquire during the cruise.

Belle goes to the Vet friday right before we head to Indy.

Youngest is going to take care of yard and house....

Trying to finish up a few things that are a part of our fall Antigua trip. Postage goes up monday.

Hopefully everything will come together by friday afternoon.
We fly out of Indy saturday morning. Will be met by friends at the airport for the trip to the port.
After taking on "provisions", we should make it to the ship in time for the first dis-meet.

We are ready for this cruise to happen!

Yuck. i have had very little experience with ticks in spite of being quite "outdoorsy" and living in woods most of my life. I found one on Marika tow mornings ago and got it off and into a jar (just in case). TOnight, she ran over to the neighbor's to deliver soemthing and when she came in she said "yuck" a bug and brushed off her arm. Then she found another and I got over there before she brushed that off too and it was a tick. Got that off OUTSIDE and saw one on her pants (stripped her down on the deck and left all the clothes out there. I of course checked over both kids and spent forver going through their hair. We looked all over and cannot find the one she brushed off. So, I am hoping the one on her pants was the one form her arm? It is totally freaking me out that it could still be wandering around the house waiting to attach to one of us. I do not care how good the weather is, no one is going outside the rest of the week. Friday can't ge there soon enough.

bought a new camera tonight.
The old one's battery just would not stay charged.
This one has 2x the pixels and 4x the zoom as the other.
Will miss the old one though. After 4 years of great service, it is hard to let go.

Had my last late meeting. One of my volunteers was going to tell me something that needs addressed... she looked at me and said "oh this can wait because you really do not care right now"

As every half hour went by a new person was counting down the hours till my plane takes off

I can see focus being an issue tomorrow

And I did see the sub-tropical storm out there. Now, normally I have a disaster response reaction to it... this time I said " I am on a cruise ship in 4 days!"

Ok... just babbling on now Have odds and ends to take care of tonight so I can relax tomorrow night

Just a quick drop in (to up the post count ).

Somewhere I missed a basic lesson on time/space continuoum today. I had an appt at the other end of town to get my haircut this morning while DD3 was at school. So I just planned on running a "few" other errands too while I was at that end of town: Walmart, Target, three stores at the Mall, Marshalls, Dollar Tree and Costco. I hadn't done the math though - I planned on running all of these errands in 75 minutes . I made it to Walmart and Target. It looks like I will be running back up to the other end of town tomorrow night .

Got DD13's alternative HW assignment for Drama today: write a review of a theatrical or cultural event. Hmmm... I'm thinking we will have a few of these to choose from. Schools do not know the kids are going on a Disney cruise (just a "unique travel opportunity" to Canaries, Gibraltar and Spain), but if the review is on "Twice Charmed" the cat will probably be out of the bag

Yuck on the ticks! Makes me itchy just thinking about it. I'm with you on keeping the kids in . I decided DD3 really didn't need to go to sunday school last weekend. Really don't want her to be exposed to any yucky germs at this point.

I think the word is proprietary. That particular battery only worked in a few Sony models.

The new one, a Cannon, uses AA.
