I think I have everything doe except my toe nails and the medicine out of the frig at 6:00 on Thursdsay morning. I just wanted to tell everyone that is leaving or in case I won't get to post that I cannot wait to meet you. I started writing in late January/February and you guys have been there through all my trials and celebrations and it will be sooo much fun! I have been counting the days since we booked last Mother's Day!!!!! I cannot believe it is hjere. Worked at Abby's school today and everyone was telling me to have a great time and wish they could go and I couldn't believe I was actually leaving in 40 hours!!!Looking forward to Saturday and meeting all of your smiling faces. Everyone will be relieved no more passport struggles or magnet struggles - it will be a FANTASTIC time! Erik, let us know what you have been up to today. I am living through you. The place you ate at last night - was that good? I cannot think of the name right now. I am thinking of going there Thursday for dinner.

Please let Abby know Marika is not ignoring her. We have been running so much I haven't even let Marika online when we have a few minutes (because I want that time!). I will try to have her return email tonight after karate. We are really looking forward to meeting you also.

DSIL took the hair clippers to Zach this weekend to give him a haircut before we leave - all I can say is it is a good thing Zach is only 5 and doesn't really care how his hair looks! Probably wouldn't have turned out so bad, but he (DSIL) forgot to wash Zach's hair first and he had "Spiking" glue in his hair! The clippers were getting stuck on the hair glue and pulled patches out. Zach told his Dad it hurt and "Dad" just thought it was something wrong with the clippers. Needless to say Zach got a "fix it" hair cut last night from someone licensed to cut hair! It certainly looks better today - just no hair. Guess I'll have to get more sun screen so his poor little head doesn't get sun burned. Guess I'm the meddling MIL - but I offered to pay for any and all future haircuts!

Oh boy... I'm really getting nervous. It seems like the cruise was forever away, but now we leave in 3 days!!!!!

There is too much to do, and so little time!!!!!!!

Where's that Puking smilie when I need it!!!!!!!

by the way, did everyone see the new tropical storm headed toward Georgia and nothern FL???:scared1:

Yes I did...glad I packed that very small umbrella!!! Now I know it won't rain. If I hadn't it would rain the whole 14 days!!!:rotfl:

I wonder what kind of seas we are going to have because of it. I just realized that we are travelling in the path of where hurricanes begin; the west coast of Africa!!! Just one more thing to worry about...:headache:

Thanks Laura,
I do have friends who would help out (we would do hte same for them) but I hate to ask on a holiday weekend and all. BUT I figure dit out!!!!!

The Manchester airport has a shuttle that runs from downtown Boston to the airport for free but you must have a boarding pass for a flight out of MHT for that day to use it (says this in big, bold, red letters several times on their website). I called this morning and the info. person said "no exceptions" but I persisted so she sent me to the voice mail for the man in charge any way. Man in charge just called back and totally gets that we are using the airport and therefore should get to be on the shuttle and is faxing a letter to Dave's office to use to get onto the shuttle upon our return:banana:  Yikes:scared: just squeeked by on that one. Now we'll just need to take two subways (or a taxi) to the downtown pick up point. Either way should be reasonable compared to the other options. I guess it pays not to take "no" for an answer.

Was going to suggest it!!!

We used the shuttle to get to Manchester, for a flight

Was kewl... and Free!!!! ;)

Has this been mentioned?
Starting 5/12, wireless internet will be expanded on the Magic to be available in the staterooms :woohoo: :woohoo:

Also starting 5/12, cell phone service will be available when the ship is at least 2 miles out at sea!! Cingular, AT&T, Sprint & T-Mobile services will be available. They recommend that you contact your cell phone company and international rates may apply.

Hi,

1. Does anyone have a standard rule for tipping on excursions? I have no idea what to tip.

2. I called Cingular and got Spain added to my plan. However, the woman told me to be sure to shut off my phone when not using it, because if someone called me and left a voice mail message I would be charged for it at the international rate if the phone was on! Yikes!

3. I am carrying Sudafed on the plane with me for take off and landing. My little guy has ear problems so his doctor recommended taking that to ease the pressure. Just thought you'd like to know, especially for the trip home.

Happy Travels!!!!

We talked to the Captain last year and he said that the ship is so advanced with technology that they can detect a hurricane so far away that the ship can divert and you would not even know about it. It was so interesting talking to him because it puts your mind at ease. He did say it could take longer to get where you are going, but who cares, you are on the ship.:)

well we will ok... dh went to a meeting at 33rd st. so I'm getting last minute things done. but just thought about the stupid converter.. and I don't remember if I need to get one.:)

Not for the ship, but anything shoreside after the cruise in EU it will be necessary.

Last suitcase closed - now to remember the last minute things. 36 hrs until we fly to MCO. Tomorrow is a day of fun and hopefully relaxing. I hate starting a vacation feeling stressed!

Yup, final bag packing going on right now, final emails, to folks, making arrangements for the lawn. One more day of work. Lynn takes the pups to puppy camp, That is what I call the kennel, tomorrow. Just a few minutes away form weighing the bags.

Wonder what I will wake up in the middle of the night thinking we forgot?

Lynn scored a grass skirt to her liking.....with some added accessories.... KEWL

Peter--Thanks for posting this. I feel about 10 times more relaxed knowing that you have ridden this and it was a good experience! :rotfl2:

No worries on weather for our crossing! The ship does have plenty of technology to steer us away, and if we're caught in a gale, we can ride it out in our staterooms!

With our grass skirts swaying to the seas, of course!!:cool1:

Does anyone know of an economical alternative to this?????? Can you recomend someone?
Thanks[/QUOTE]

Try carrentals.com. Also, see if there is an offsite agency. We are renting car to drive to LA and renting it from the airport was twice as much as the offsite AVIS location that was closer to my work.
