We just got home about 30 min ago and found a box from DVC on our doorstep. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone else, but it looks like they are sending these to people who booked the transatlantic using points.

Anyone else get anything?

Are the arcade cards that you can buy at Disney Resorts good on the cruise? The front says "Disney Gamer" The back has 2 bar codes.

I thought when we bought it at WDW in Feb the guy said it worked on the cruise too but I can't remember. At that time we had NO IDEA we would be taking a transatlantic cruise with Disney!

3 of the 4 bags packed and closed. What a trama! I hope my scales are right or I will be repacking at the airport. 1 was 50.4 lbs so I repacked and got to down to 47 lbs. One about 45 lbs ,the other has not been closed, and the hang-up bag at about 15 lbs. At least I can put some of the heavier stuff in there if we are over weight limit. And if all else fails I will pay the extra money!

At least you are 3/4 way there! I still keep adding (and subtracting) stuff. I am pretty resigned to paying the fee if I have to though! At least one of the bags is small so I may need to buy something bigger (hope not).

I just hope everyone and their bags get on the ship in one piece.

I did not book with points for either cruise and I got the box from DVC which also included a card wishing us "Bon Voyage". Big Brother is watching....
In fact, it prompted me to call DVC this afternoon to change my address. I mentioned the gift and wondered how they knew I was cruising since I did not book through DVC. The CM laughed and agreed that indeed Big Brother is always watching.

However, I never received any magnets.....

A week from now I will be in my room at OKW not able to sleep because I will be on a cruise the next morning!

Had to look at the name twice. Thought it was Scott posting.

Did a little update to the roster. Was able to get a couple more room numbers. Also updated the map. I will say... Party on Deck 2! Debbie

YES! Deck 2 will be where the Party will be.

Was working in the yard. Dirty as a pig and the postal carrier gets out of his jeep and brings this package to me. ????????
Couldn't wait to open it, so I had to quit for a while just to see what it was.

Finally got caught up on the posts. Started to read last night and got sidetracked.

Ken-Good luck to your son! Chip off the old block?

Passports! Sorry to hear that some are still having trouble getting them. I'm sure that they will make it on time.

Packing....will get out the suitcases tomorrow and take the week to pack. I think I need to pick-up a couple of things.

The next week will really drag on. Always does. But it will be all worth it when we step onboard and they announce our names.

Looking forward to meeting old friends and new faces. Too bad we can't make the W&C meet. But we will be met by a couple of dis-friends at the airport. That will be KEWL.

Everyone have an enjoyable weekend. Time to head back outside.

DCL called yesterday to make sure I had my own transfers arranged. I told them I did, but while I had them on the phone, I asked about the magnets....
She was very nice and transferred me to the Castaway Club person. They are "researching" the magnets for me, so we'll see

Also cleared Delta's waitlist for BCN-ATL on 5/27 but still waitlisted for ATL to anywhere in Southern CA . I'm really jazzed about confirming the BCN-ATL part though. That was the tricky one. Our Original flights were through Paris & Houston and involved too short a layover for me in Paris and a really long layover in Houston.

Cindy, I know you are looking for the BCN-ATL flight also. Can you stay an extra day and go on the 5/27 flight? Seems to be more availablity on that one.

Need to get back to packing now....

Just go to the page on DCL under "Ports of Call", choose "14 Eastbound", and then you will see an icon on the left side for iTunes download. Fun!

Hey you lucky ducks!

I have been lurking on here for a few months... totally jealous of you guys! YOU get to take the ship over there, YOU get to do it FIRST, and many of you get to do back to back cruises.... EEEEW, can you see the green?

I am going on the 11 night on June 27th. It is so far away I could bust but I am so enjoying your luggage stories, your packing, your last days of works, etc....

What I am so looking forward to our your stories when you get back (or even better, even you are there). I want every magical detail from dinner to the staterooms to the ports. Maybe even scanned copies of the navigators. Is anyone planning on posting at sea? Is anyone planning on a trip reports somewhere afterwards or during.... .we want details, people. (oh, in between all that fun stuff you'll be doing).

So... all of you.... have a blast... we're so excited for all of you. The only comfort we have is that we will be following in no time! Julie

I know what you mean. If I were going on the other transatlantic or one of the Med cruises later in the summer, I would be dying to follow along with the first med transatlantic cruise. We will be the guinea pigs! But Mother's Day in Castaway Cay??? What could be better??????

I am probably going to be posting live from the ship and doing a trip report. I need the internet for keeping in touch with some of my kids at home, and a little teeny bit for work/quick emails. So any day now I will be posting a pre-trip report so I can get the thread set up before cruising. I am hoping to maybe post a few pics too. We will see how my wireless internet minutes onboard go.

Greetings from the World!

We arrived....our flights were a pain...delayed the first leg so that the time between our connections was less than 15 minutes so we were literally SPRINTING through the Atlanta airprot....and the gates were as far apart as they could physically be!! Then once we just barely made that flight, we sat down, they shut the doors, and we proceeded to sit hot and sticky on the plan for 45 minutes waiting in line to take off....ggrrr!!!

But we're here and thrilled to be so!

well, hurray for you! I think you asked when I work at Saratoga this week. I am there 5:30pm til closing on Wed. and 11 am to 5:30 on Thur. then VACATION! !

Yes, we got the box too. It was a very beautiful surprise, but we won't be bringing it with us. It's too big!

On another note.... Thursday DD had her 4 year old checkup, where we waited for 2.5 hours for the doctor. It makes me a nervous wreck to sit in there with all the sick kids. So, one day later the kid who never, never, never never gets sick is sick or is having a reaction to the vaccination she got. The doctor always says, "she shouldn't have any reaction to this" and every time she has a reaction! I'm so mad and she feels like dirt. If she's not better by tomorrow I guess I'm headed for the walk in doctor

I believe that if you are a DVC member cruising one of the med cruises, you will get one even if you did not use points to cruise. (like us)

OOH, I am so sorry! I hope she's ok soon. How come this stuff always happens right before a trip?
