We like to keep the kids out of doors as much as possible too I think it is so much better for them to have a connection to nature, fresh air, etc. We have a treehouse, lots of trails they have cleared through the undergrowth and they just worked on a "hut" (about 10x5 foot frame built into some trees with a stick roof) on the warm and sunny weekend we had about three weeks ago (of course it has been snowy and yucky ever since). We are so lucky that the neighbors behind us have kids our kids enjoy, and the group runs all over their 5 acres plus our two together (safety in numbers--plus the cells do work out here and Marika keeps one in her pocket so I can keep tabs--though you can nearly always hear them, and there are no other roads or homes in that direction ).

Snakes AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH - I should have said the dresser is on the back patio, but it is freaky. Like I needed anything else on my list of things to do. I've never heard of rats in So. Cal for my entire life.

Got home to find my roses looking like someone had stomped all over them. Branches just snapped off. It stopped last night but it is howling again this morning. Reminds me of when I lived in Fontana. You'd wake up in the middle of the night because BOOM the windows and wall rattled and you went...Wind or Earthquake? WIND!!!

Are you allergies going out of control yet?

Hadley, my Sarah used to build forts all the time! I miss that. The younger ones don't build as much. My youngers ones tend to play in the creek a lot (fish and frogs) and ride their bikes and scooters and walk on our trails, visiting the breeding farm--and baby horses! They've recently, well, before the snow, started playing softball in the front. We have enough kids that we actually have teams! We don't have tv, so they spend a lot of time outside, in all sorts of weather.

My dad applied for the passport last week and received it yesterday!!! I was so excited because they said they were really backed up. Now we are REALLY set to go. Have all your passports arrived?

How long ago did you apply? Jeannine applied almost 10 weeks ago and he check has been cashed, and she has a number online but still no passport!!

You said it, we have about 30 rose bushes and they were sideways last night. I laughed when I read your post... we lived in Fontana too. And we always said the exact same thing - Earthquake, oh no its just the giants throwing rocks at the windows again! Yes, sinuses are killing me!!!!! We were right off of Baseline & Cherry. One day after about 2 months straight of 105 degrees I said to Jonathan you know Zoe is 3 months old and she's never been outside, its time to move back to the beach!

LOL We lived at Merrill & Palmetto gorwing up and then when I got my first house it was at Foothill & Juniper. I don't think there is enough claritin to clear us up!!

Today I called DCL explained my situation and asked if they could book them for me. The cast member said no they are not allowed, but wanted to see if she could get in using my log on and password. Has anyone ever asked you for your password?

I told her I had been on the Dis boad site and some had been able to book via DCL...She gave me to a supervisor who was really nice took all my informaiton and said she would try to do it for me.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am able to get my Palo and Spa reservations back

What a pain. I have only gotten that timeout when they were working on the site. Especially for the spa...

They should not have to ask you for your password. That is just a big no no in any service industry. I am rather shocked that they would ask.

The Cadiz excussion is there because I jsut cancelled that the other night. There might be one for Tenerife, we are still debatting on it.

Supposed to be playing with the houseguests, but sneaked onto the computer to catch up a little here . Yep, there are definitely rats in So Cal - ewwww!!! We don't grow tomatoes or sunflowers anymore in the garden - got tired of attracting the rat community - eewwww!! Our house backs onto a canyon so have coyote, bunnies, rats, snakes and hawks -- no small domesticated animals can live outside here.

Crazy windy here yesterday too, but nice today. Houseguests might actually make it to the beach today :sun:

I buy Claritin in bulk at Costco for myself and DD11. As she we was rubbing her eyes, DD3 told me last night "I have a rash (itch) in my nose mommy." Sigh, looks like we have another one with allergies...

How exciting that docs are starting to arrive!! Since we just jumped back onboard last week, I don't know what to expect with docs . Still showing GTy on my stateroom # too.

We are coming back to California via Atlanta and have Delta. I think most people who booked thru DCL got Delta flights. However, I could be totally wrong. Also the air info is available 45 days out, but you may have to call. It did not show up on the DCL website until the end of last week. Also if you have them email you the airfare info, you can go to a website and printout your e tickets. And lastly, they had already assigned the seating, so we didn't have to call and do that either! And we are actually sitting together!!

i will be on that flight too from barcelona to atlanta...on standby...so encourage others to not take that flight so there is room for me!

No Docs or suprises here. Maybe I should check with the people who have our similar address. For example, We are 555 Happy Valley ROAD, and they are 555 Happy Valley DRIVE. The postman can't get it straight. grrrr.

We get their pizza deliveries, mini blind deliveries from Fed Ex, and once I came home to find my house being bug-sprayed...um..."we don't pay for your service, go up the road and turn right." I should've just let him finish and reduce the number of creepy crawlies.


We used to have 3 acres between Sacamento and Tahoe, and we had rats everywhere, which attracted snakes . We got a couple of good cats who solved that problem! A friend of ours killed a HUGE rattle snake on our property for us, 10 rattles, 3feet long . The kids and I disected it , skinned it and cooked it. Yep, tastes like chicken.

eeww! but i am picturing the snake cooked p in "Waterboy!"

Some of you have gotten your doc already!!!:cool1: I am so happy for you. Another reminder of how close the cruise is getting.

We just got our magnets last weekend. I hope our doc get here faster than that!


Elizabeth have your children's passports arrived yet ? Is anyone else still waiting on passports?

SIGH! no ...but we have finally appeared on the website! i am calling in the middle of next week if we do not have them...i do not know what we will do since our regional office is in houston but all our docs got sent to charleston, sc however...I AM NOT PAYING EXPEDITED FEES!!! i ordered these 12 weeks in advance so they should get them to me in time...and i do have the number from C. Rice's office that another DISer posted! don't make me use it! if my passports are not enroute to me next week i am also contacting my local representatice and senator (now i just need to look online and see who they are...i don't follow politics well!)

Still haven't got a room assigned but here's hoping I get one soon! I actually don't mind having a Cat 12 or 11 as don't really want an outside room I'm just bored with not having a room number.

Also if people get upgrades at the port is there going to be anywhere on the boat for us to update our room assignments? Perhaps we could use the boards on the floors to show room changes too? (Dont know how big these are) as it seems we may have a lot of room changes once we get to the port.

since ssnyder is coordinating the boards, matbe we should have everyone call her with room changes and she ca then call the board teams to post on all our boards for the first couple of days...then ywe can all adjust the cabin numbers on our papers....
