news today I'm afraid is not good (again)

Her doctor called to tell me that the CT showed "something" on her lungs, so we now have a PET scan thursday morning. I sense this means it's a tumor of sorts, as from what I've web read that's what PET scans are for. Regardless of the PET scan outcome she is having the mastecomy as the breast cancer tumor(s) are bad and must be taken care of.

I just worry that if the PET scan shows it's bad and we've all agreed that mom won't have radiation or chemo (quality of life issues) that she has this rotten surgery and feels like crap from it and then dies shortly thereafter, what is the point of the rotten surgery.

Crystal Ball where are you. These are the crappy parts of life.

well our luncheon is over...we have sooo much left. I guess I ordered too much (I was the planner)...but now we can all have it again tomorrow....and Friday.

I keep telling myself to stay off ebay but I just can't seem to. But I have sold a few things on there lately to start to make up the difference.

I am going to part with several of the girls boutique Disney outfits that they have outgrown. Hopefully I can at least make half of the money back I spent.

Hello to all my fellow cruisers. Surgery went well on Monday. We arrived right on time at 8:45AM and I was whisked into my room. Since I had filled out all the paperwork before hand things went very smoothly.

Next thing I know I was meeting again with the anesthesiologist, Peter who also has a DD the same as our Samantha. He put a line in my arm and in no time I was fast asleep. When I woke up, surgery was over and I was somewhat groggy. I dozed off and on until about 3 PM. The nurse, Paula, brought me some water and cranberry juice to help me wake up.

I was dressed and ready to go by 4:00PM and home by 4:45PM. Other than being a bit sore near the incision sites, I am feeling fine, just taking it slow and easy.

I did read the boards here a bit and am very sorry to hear about Nan's Mother. Much ixiedust: and prayers to Nan and her Mom for a positive outcome on the PET scan.

Holly is trying to get me on a 3 day cruise when shes down, laid awake trying to think how to swing it, shes such a bad influence!!

Looks like shes coming down the end of Nov. Anyone up for a meet in fla?


Looks like im going to San Jose Nov 2-5 to help a friend teach.Anyone up for a mini meet there? Hate going there sometimes I end up stuck in the Holiday Inn at night twidling my thumbs with boredom, but I def love the cooler weather!

We've just finished tea. Haddock in cheese sauce, new potatoes for John, mushroom cous cous for me, spring green cabbage and carrots. Followed by strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.
