I have not seen much on the damage caused by the latest hurricane. I wonder if it went over Aruba and what ports or places that were hit. Hopefully everyone made it through ok and with minimal damage.

Finally, the DIS is back! I hate when I don't have my DIS! I caught up to all the reading from yesterday, but have to go back and do a lot of posting. Just wanted to get on here and say HI now that it's back.

You were all right about the doctor appointment yesterday...it went very wrong. I'll fill you in on all the gory details in a bit.
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Hi Deb

Good to hear from you. Sorry about the bad appointment yesterday.:sad2:

OK, here's what happened at the doctors...

Normally, I only see the nurse and she's sweet and they unwrap, measure, clean, take pics and rewrap in the layers with medicine over the open wounds. NOT yesterday....had a new nurse, pulled off the old gauze that was stuck...the nice nurse moistens it and then gently pulls and it comes off easily....then she did all the normal other things and waited for the dr. to come in. Well, he basically did the same thing to the wounds that he did in the operating room but I was awake in his office this time. WHAT excruciating pain as he scraped and picked and pulled and poked. He finished the left leg, the better of the two and moved to the right....shortly after he started I said I had enough...could we continue this another time because I couldn't take any more pain. I was hysterical crying. It felt like a razor digging into my legs....burning, stinging, sharp pains.

The dr. insulted me the entire time calling me a baby and did I think I was in labor the way I was acting....then when I asked to stop he took a two year old hissy fit tantrum and threw me out of his office.

I never got my legs wrapped properly and the wrap fell down by the time I got home, I have nothing on both legs right now coz they won't stay up.

Needless to say, I'm not happy and I will let this doctor know that I have patient rights and I won't allow him to treat me like this. What an idiot!:sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

When I got home I was still hysterical and upset and in great pain and I just went to sleep. That's why you didn't hear back from me last night. Then of course the DIS was down all morning!:confused3  :confused3

Deb...so sorry to hear about your horrible experience yesterday. As a doctor it angers me horribly to hear about how fellow physicians treat their patients. I would make sure to lodge a complaint against him at the least.
Hope today goes better and you get those legs wrapped and treated the right way!

Quoting me again...we decided we wanted to renew our vows on our 25th on the Magic or Dreams or one of them...wouldn't it be great if we could all do that cruise together with all of you and celebrate...it's only eight more years...I would love it!

Deb, I am sitting here feeling so upset for you.:sad1: That was a awful experience.

I can't believe a Dr. could be so heartless and you must complain. I hope you get the legs dressed correctly today.

What a lovely idea and so romantic. We may just get to celebrate with you!

Thanks guys...it was pretty bad and totally unprofessional. Kaylee, I will file a complaint. It just so happens I got my 'please rate us' questionnaire from the hospital and since he's the Dr. that admitted me...I will have pleanty to say and I'll send a copy of the questionnaire with the complaint. I'll make sure he gets reported and then I'll speak to him directly too because I have to keep going there.
:scared: :guilty: :scared:

You all probably saw this, and I totally pirate: from the DCL photo of the day, but this was posted....

Of course, we'll be doing it the other way, but that was just amazing to me how many hours the whole thing will take. We have locks here...but in 30 min you are done and on your way! Ok, there I go avoiding work and dreaming of a cruise months away :confused3 Guess I better get back to paying bills :sad1:

John has to do them when he gets home tonight...I can't do them myself. The Dr. changed my schedule to have a visiting nurse come to the house and change the dressings 2 times a week and go see him only once a week. He was mad at me.

The visiting nurse said she'll be here on Friday...what do I do until then...do it myself...at least John has to...my poor baby...he's pulled in so many different directions...he needs a Mickey ship vaca even more than me. So happy we're going next month.

:cool2: :cool1: :cool2:

Hi everyone. Just doing a post to say HI. I too was going throught withdrawls this morning.

Anyhoo...I mentioned some pages back about the disney luggage tags I found at Walmart. I know some folks are having trouble finding them so I would like to offer my service to pick some up for anyone who would like them. I believe they ran approx $3.68 each and they had 2 different tinkerbell and 2 lady and the tramp. If anyone in interested please pm me. I will be stopping on my way home tonight so let me know. If you cant respond by the time I leave work(4:30 pacific time) I can still get you some on another trip. (we only live 3 min away).

Deb, I'm so sad to hear about your experience yesterday. No one should be treated in such a manner.

I also wanted to let you know that I am making a stop at the Santa Barbara Hotel on my lunch time walk to see about any more info on winerys in the area and then will get the brochures sent out to you.

Take care and keep the postive outlook we have come to know you for.:goodvibes
