Funny story....
Last night we were out to dinner and Jaide was complaining about her tooth being so loose. Scott tried to pull it out and couldn't so he told her he would do it at home later. Taylor decided she would do it (remember she pulled out her own tooth a bit ago) and marched over to Jaide and pulled out the tooth! :lmao: I almost fell out of my chair laughing...Taylor was just so proud. And then, the worst thing happened........................

the tooth fairy forgot to come last night. I thought Jaide was going to cry this am when she realized it. I told her due to the move, she must have gotten lost and I am sure she will be there tonight :scared1: I really need to have a talk with that tooth fairy!!!! I bet she feels absolutely horrible (and almost cried as well when Jaide realized!!!!!). And I bet Jaide is getting a bit bonus of a tooth fairy gift tonight :thumbsup2

TOOTH FAIRY FORGOT! Oh no!!:rotfl:

My mom says Gator is doing good. She got home and there was no barking at all between the dogs. My mom just told me that the postman gives Big Un a biscuit every day....the postman told my step dad just a few weeks ago it took a year and a half for Big Un to start taking the biscuit.

Now he better bring two!

V...good to hear that Gator is settling into her new home. Bet you miss her, but at least you can keep tabs on her and still see her (or him?).

yes, we'll still be able to see her and with the many acres and a new friend to play with I think she will be very happy!

Kayle - you probably answered this, but what kind of dr are you? Yes I am nosey!

My junior high/high school best friend is a dermatologist. She went to Univ of Miami (FL) at first wanted to be a marine bio and then changed. I have loved hearing all her stories of ER rounds etc. She is one who does not want kids and is engaged to another derm and I loved her stores when she had OBGYN work....!

I am a family physician...but I practice Naturopathic Medicine. Here in WA, we are licensed as primary care docs...the difference between us and the traditional medical docs are treatments. I use homeopathics, herbs, nutrition, counseling, etc rather than traditional prescription meds. My practice is primarily women and children, dealing a lot with allergies, ADD/ADHD, hormonal issues, digestive probs and the typical colds and flus. I am also trained to be a midwife, but after doing 15 or so births, I decided it wasn't for me so I stopped my certification.

That's awesome.

Can't escape from work, so I will have ours with us...

Karen

I miss typed I meant Dad not DD, thats what happens when you type too quick

OK, here's what happened at the doctors...

Normally, I only see the nurse and she's sweet and they unwrap, measure, clean, take pics and rewrap in the layers with medicine over the open wounds. NOT yesterday....had a new nurse, pulled off the old gauze that was stuck...the nice nurse moistens it and then gently pulls and it comes off easily....then she did all the normal other things and waited for the dr. to come in. Well, he basically did the same thing to the wounds that he did in the operating room but I was awake in his office this time. WHAT excruciating pain as he scraped and picked and pulled and poked. He finished the left leg, the better of the two and moved to the right....shortly after he started I said I had enough...could we continue this another time because I couldn't take any more pain. I was hysterical crying. It felt like a razor digging into my legs....burning, stinging, sharp pains.

The dr. insulted me the entire time calling me a baby and did I think I was in labor the way I was acting....then when I asked to stop he took a two year old hissy fit tantrum and threw me out of his office.

I never got my legs wrapped properly and the wrap fell down by the time I got home, I have nothing on both legs right now coz they won't stay up.

Needless to say, I'm not happy and I will let this doctor know that I have patient rights and I won't allow him to treat me like this. What an idiot!:sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

How horrible. I am so sorry. Get better soon,:grouphug:

My dad is a dermatoligist.

There are things other than perscription medication for ADD/ADHD. I need to go to a different doctor.

When I got home I was still hysterical and upset and in great pain and I just went to sleep. That's why you didn't hear back from me last night. Then of course the DIS was down all morning!:confused3  :confused3

Deb, I am so sorry that you experienced such a terrible ordeal. What your doctor did was beyond unprofessional. You need to contact the medical ombudsman (patient advocate) for the wound care clinic for resolution. I would NEVER, EVER let that doctor touch my wounds again.

Welcome Laura...

have we heard from Noel, Aunty Brat or Mexican Mousekateers lately?

Hope everyone is well and ok.

I am lurking here and reading but been busy working on the Lake house. Will try to make more time to post. I am feeling fine but still not 100%.

and I am sorry for posting so many pictures..but I love looking at everyone's pictures (except ones of me!!). Plus - it's helpful when we meet! I can remember walking up to the check in counter at PC and John1 saying Hi V! - we had never met, simply messaged our way through the DIS and I had friends!!!!
DON't I LOVE seeing your photos, I was just making a silly statement... that's all!
Peggy Jo,

I love Ladyhawke! It's one of DD and my favorite films! I have always been a fan of Fresian horses.

We saw an amazing traveling show a couple of years ago called "Cavalia" and they had "Lusitanian" horses. So beautiful and the show was breathtaking! Very much worth seeing if you ever get the chance.

I truly love horses as does DD; we hope to be able to afford to sponsor a horse for her soon. She has done a camp every summer except this past summer where they truly live the "Ranch Camp" horse life. They take care of the horses as well as other farm animals and learn many different aspects of riding and horse handling.

She and I were Reminiscing about our horsback riding adventure in Denali National Park in Alaska! It was an unbelievable adventure staight up the side of a hill with a panoramic view of the valley!! So Cool!!!

What is the name of your DH's horse?

Karen
ME TOO! I've seen the Cavalia show and LOVE it. As a matter of fact I've always said that when it's time to get the next horse I will get a LUSTIANO - they make great dressage horses - YOU HAVE GREAT TASTE! I think having experience with animals at a young age gave me a great sense of responsibility. But a great thing for any child. I love giving lessons but the liability is scary so many people "can" be sue happy...

Peg - loved the pics of your babies too...thanks for sharing. JMHO but I like when the pics appear on the screen...probably my way of being lazy....don't like the links to the pics...JMHO:laughing: :cool2:

I love photos of all types, post away folks!

You were pushing your luck there! Love your pics and horses.:)
Nah, I know my horse pretty darn well!
70's night????!!!!:scared1:
INDEED - I can't wait!!!!

Holly, Tyler looks fab in his outfit and crocs, and that BIG bag!!! He is such a handsome young man - I love his smile.
He does look so cute - HOLLY!!!!
We are a bit sad tonight. We sent our dog Gator to go live with my mom. She has five acres and there is plenty of room to run. Gator has been sort of lost since Lilly (her mom) died and my mom has a rottie named Big Un - and he's truly is the size of a small pony and they lost Gator's father Ernie last year so Big Un is pretty lonely as well. I know it will be good for both of them, but I am sad just the same.
Miss V - I'm very sorry to hear that, I know exactly what you mean, but you are doing a great thing, hey, wish I had 5 acres to run and play on!!!
We had to have 1 of our dogs put to sleep last month and the other dog is totaly lost. It is hard too watch them knowing there is not much you can do. It sounds like your dog has a good enviroment to recup in.

Hey Miss G - do you know it took me until a few days ago to realize that this is YOU - the gal I sat next to at DL when we had our Dis meet? How NOT bright am I??? Hey, did you ever get that little bank situation squared away???

OK - back to catching up!:yay:

Apparently out here in WA...she can be a bit spacey and exhausted at times and she just forgets. I think she/me deserves the "bad mommy" award for that one!!!!!

oh no she doesn't. I think it's the west coast fairy problem. and that award might just end up at my house.

Remember that tooth that Wilson lost placed under his pillow and the fairy didn't come and then the tooth got LOST in his bed (we did find it) we still haven't put it under for the fairy. (I've been so lazy lately)

Well today Paul and I had an appt with Molly's ortho to discuss her upcoming surgery (~5-6 teeth to be pulled) and low and behold she comes home today and she got one out at school today. YIPEE!!!! She saved us some big surgery $$$ I'm sure. If only I could hire out Taylor to get the rest outta her mouth. (they are adult teeth, she doesn't have enough room for all of them, big teeth kids in my family) The joys of being self employeed and not having dental coverage....I suspect this surgery will be in the range of $2K.

Tonight that fairy is flying up and down our coast and making a 2 for 1 stop in our house!!!! Oh I hope I have my coins I'm going to go check now.

p.s. the fairy figured out how to get Molly the new AG Dolls coming this weekend....surgery teeth make big bucks ($~20 or so per tooth)...5 teeth x $20 = an AG doll..... that's my math and I'm sticking to it.

Deb,

That is an awful story. I would write to the hospital adminstrator as well.

PTA is actually kind of under control... I am just waiting for the next crisis to happen.

We had a fire here on the mountain by our home. They blocked off our road and had structural fire trucks out all night so our homes would not burn. DD could not sleep she was so worried about evacuation. She has not slept really well since, she wakes up every night. I am hoping she feels secure again soon.

I am just core dumping, can you tell? We had to move DD's ice time to mornings on Wed and I am the walking dead today.

I am going to Berlin next week. I just found out friday. Anyone have any good advice?

I need a vacation....

Kim

We loved Flicka here. We are the house of a horsey girl.

ok from now on, if I post that I am on Ebay, you guys have to get me off of there! I am spending money I don't have on Disney related junk!!! Luckily I can't access from work or I'd be in big trouble!
