Thanks guys...it was pretty bad and totally unprofessional. Kaylee, I will file a complaint. It just so happens I got my 'please rate us' questionnaire from the hospital and since he's the Dr. that admitted me...I will have pleanty to say and I'll send a copy of the questionnaire with the complaint. I'll make sure he gets reported and then I'll speak to him directly too because I have to keep going there.

Surely there is another doctor you could go to. I would report him to the State Medical Board and I would include photos of the legs. That is just not okay.

Hello Everybody - let me introduce myself again - I am Laura and I will be sailing with you all on this cruise. I promised Lisa - Dopyelovr that I would come back on again. I posted once over the weekend but don't know what happened to my post - it disappeared.

Anyway, hope its not too late to join in. Now that everyone is over and done with I hope that I can still join in the fun if you all will have me.

Lisa, is the whole family doing this cruise also? (FYI - Lisa and I did the Med cruise this summer but due to circumstances - all I saw were pictures of her lovely daughter in shutters. The Magic really is a big boat.

Anything I should be aware of? I will be going to page 1 soon to see if there is anything I should be aware of. In the meantime, have a day everyone!

Deb-what a jerk that doc was, I would have smacked him! I'm sorry for you! It's very frustrating to have a doctor treat you in such an insulting way. I'm sorry.

OK, here's what happened at the doctors...

Normally, I only see the nurse and she's sweet and they unwrap, measure, clean, take pics and rewrap in the layers with medicine over the open wounds. NOT yesterday....had a new nurse, pulled off the old gauze that was stuck...the nice nurse moistens it and then gently pulls and it comes off easily....then she did all the normal other things and waited for the dr. to come in. Well, he basically did the same thing to the wounds that he did in the operating room but I was awake in his office this time. WHAT excruciating pain as he scraped and picked and pulled and poked. He finished the left leg, the better of the two and moved to the right....shortly after he started I said I had enough...could we continue this another time because I couldn't take any more pain. I was hysterical crying. It felt like a razor digging into my legs....burning, stinging, sharp pains.

The dr. insulted me the entire time calling me a baby and did I think I was in labor the way I was acting....then when I asked to stop he took a two year old hissy fit tantrum and threw me out of his office.

I never got my legs wrapped properly and the wrap fell down by the time I got home, I have nothing on both legs right now coz they won't stay up.

Needless to say, I'm not happy and I will let this doctor know that I have patient rights and I won't allow him to treat me like this. What an idiot!

OH MY GOSH!!! What happened to the caring and compassion doctors are supposed to have for their patients who are suffering?! I'm sure if the shoes were reversed, he'd be singing a different tune. So sorry you had such a rotten experience. Quite shocking! If I were treated like that, I'd want his (fill in the blank here) in a vice!

Where is Holly today?

I'm here! Had to work today. WAY to busy at work to check here. After work, had to do schoolwork until time to pick up Tyler from school. Then the electrician was here hooking up our new water heater that was installed yesterday. Played with Tyler a bit in the back yard before his dad came to pick him up.

Poor kid was starving when I picked him up today! He's used to eating TONS of food, and he eats about every hour and a half. So this is hard for him to adjust to. He has breakfast at home, then there's a morning snack at school, then lunch, and an afternoon snack. So I sent a few things with him for his afternoon snack, but didn't realize that they only allow the kids to choose one item. I have to figure out what I can send that's just one item and is large enough to fill him up.

John is watering the plants.....the girls are snacking on 'nanas and here I am DIS'ing and doing odds and ends around the house.

One of Samantha's classmates had a birthday today and of course a goodie bag comes home and Haley thinks she needs one to, very loudly of course. Samantha was nice and gave her all the candy from it (three pcs) and the only other things in it were pirate coins and beads. It was a brown lunch bag the kids decorated with markers themselves so really not something I would be pining for.
But I have to get her to understand that they won't always have the same stuff. At home, they have different plates, etc and usually Haley is the carefree one taking Shrek over the Princesses and I gues it's my fault a little in making sure they both have equal amts, etc --- just less of a war for me.

Is this something they grow out of? With my sister and I 10 years apart it was not something I grew up with.

I don't have any great answers for you, except, work on it now!!! I did the same things as you V(Jaide and Taylor are 3.5 yrs apart) and Taylor wants to do everything like her big sister. Last night we had major meltdown because I wanted Taylor in bed before Jaide. Because Taylor napped at preschool, we always let them go to bed at the same time and after seeing how tired she was last night, and knowing Jaide would have more homework now in 4th grade, we started the separate bedtimes and it was total drama!!! We also have to watch because Jaide is very quick to give into her sister to prevent drama (what a good big sis). Maybe they do grow out of it, but so far I haven't seen it happen.
