Spoke to Deb last night. She was in alot of pain, told them to tell the doc to crank up the pain meds. She might have to go back to the O.R .once more.She got the flowers and told me to tell everyone THANK YOU and BIG hugs. She said that is definitly helping her get through it. I told her I couldnt have done it without everyone on the boards and the turnout and caring that everyone showed was amazing.

Ok well long night at work, off to bed. Hope everyone has a good sunday!

An amazing thing happened this morning: Tyler slept until 9am!!! I was so thrilled to be able to sleep in because he always gets me up at 7am. And then I felt the start of a headache, so I got him his cereal & milk, then put in a movie for him (Sky High) and told him I needed to sleep a bit more and that I'd get up after his movie was done. Bad mom, but he didn't mind. He woke me up briefly to ask if he could get his playdough out, I told him he could if he promised to clean up afterwards, so he did. He started cleaning up a bit in the living room too!

Off to get my good helper some lunch, then we're going to clean today. He actually asked me if we could just stay home today. Fine with me for a change! His dad took him lots of fun places yesterday (rare thing because he barely takes him out of the house). They went to the current job site so Tyler could watch the cement pour, then to a few other fun places, then I took him to that festival with fireworks, so he had a busy day yesterday. Can't blame him for wanting to relax today!

first the flowers, bear and baloons were a big hit, they got to her room just after she got back from the OR, and she did in deed manage a big smile and sends
out to all of you
the meds they put her on are not sitting well with her weak tummy so a change is in the works. and she is not having a good time of it right now.

will try to post again after a see her today.
can't catch up with all the posts right now but will try again later

I'm sorry her medication isn't suiting her -it's awful when that happens.

Cleaning has gone to the wayside today because I've been busy making last minute plans for Labor Day weekend! I was going to just stay home and relax because Labor Day is Tyler's dad's holiday this year. WELL, his dad just told me he received tickets to Cirque du Soleil in Toronto Saturday night for his and his wife's 1st anniversary, so he asked if I could keep Tyler Friday and Saturday and he'll pick him up Sunday afternoon or evening so they can spend Monday together. So Tyler and I will be joining my aunt and my uncle's family camping in a cabin near the Mackinaw bridge! Tyler's been up there before with his dad, but I've lived in MIchigan my whole life and have never seen the bridge! I just can't wait! We'll drive up Friday after work (I get out at 12:30) and will come home late Sunday. Here's the campground: http://www.campmackinaw.com/

How's Tom feeling?

Yes, It was neat to talk to her. Shes going to be alot of fun on the cruise Unfortunately shes on some potent antibiotics that are tearing her stomach up and hopefully they can change or give her somethign more for her stomach because she needs them.

Tom is doing good, im going to start calling him Tigger because he just "bounced" right back to himself. I took his soda away though and put him on a ration for that Hes not happy but I said theres lot of cranberry juice in there for ya, cant help it , the nurse in me

I tell you those friends and families of 80 year olds can party!!!

I had a friend take pictures, yup no camera in my hand (virtually unheard of for me) once I look at them (after my coffee) I'll upload a few.

V, Tacos....sounds like you made my dinner plans...thanks. Perhaps that should be my new idea. You call out dinner and I'll have 3 hours to get it ready for my family too. Man would they be happy campers...

Thanks so much for checking up on me! I've actually been "warned" by a certain moderator for engaging in a similar conversation with "CruisinLover". She deleted my posts and everything! He's very argumentitive and opinionated. Don't even try to talk to him about tips.Things like this are exactly why I dont post very much. I thought it kind of funny that that lady called me a newcomer when she only has 61 posts herself! Oh well, some people! Thanks again for backing me up, and we will see you guys soon! (but not soon enough!)

Yup! We're very lucky because Michigan has so many beautiful places to see! Well, Northern Michigan does (the upper peninsula). We're in the lower peninsula, so it's a few hours drive for us, but will be so worth it!

This day just keeps getting better and better! Tyler told me he'd start looking for toys he doesn't play with anymore to get rid of/sell/give away. Well, he FILLED A BOX and asked me for ANOTHER BOX!!! We're getting rid of stuff! I really don't want to take the time to take pics of all of it and list it to sell somewhere, and definitely don't want to go to the effort of a garage sale, so I'll probably just post on freecycle and just tell Tyler we sold it and give him a few bucks (he's trying to make money for his next cruise, whenever that may be). But first I'll ask the woman across the street if she needs more stuff for her in-home daycare.

well I am beat. I hate cleaning. We went in the pool for a while, I managed some laps, the girls just want to jump in again again again and squeal the whole time!
We did see tons of butterflies out there and have some green peppers and pineapples we need to pick!

Yeah I am about to junk these socks, problem is - for the girls I like the lacy frilly ones which are usually expensive and hard to find. There is a boutique in Plant City (children's) that has a 1/2 off sale twice a year and my mom usually cleans them out of socks - they end up being cheaper than anywhere else.

Thanks to whoever here originally told us all about craigslist. I've posted some of Tyler's stuff there to sell. Nice not having to pay eBay's fees! I hope it works! Tyler's been instructing me on how to take the picture. How the items should be positioned, and which ones I need to take 2 pics of (to show front and back), etc. He's a great helper today! Yup, he definitely is trying to make some money!
