I don't know:confused3 , that's why I'm asking you guys!!;) there seems to be so many californians on here that I thought someone would be near there for sure....:rotfl:

I can't make map link work but I know it is about 70 miles from Hesperia to Anaheim.

Love the sound of the 'snow day' book:) We don't have it at school but we're a big senior school (take 11 to 18 year olds) so its probably a bit young for our lot :)

Well, the snow stopped but the college sent dd home so she was happy anyway! It was nice to spend the day with her on our own:)

What about Horrible Histories/Dead Famous/Horrible Geography?? DS has recently discovered them. I've only found them here and there on ebay, but a book dealer in San Diego places large orders periodically from the UK. DS is not so patiently awaiting the next one!

Sounds like a lovely day with your daughter!!:)

Hi all, sorry I haven't been around much. DH flew CH 46 in the USMC and we have friends in Iraq squadron that had crash yesterday. We've been a little preoccupied. We are still checking on our friend, he is the CO of the squadron. Keeping good thoughts.

I have the new logo design in my sig.

Will come back later.

As my first official duty as KING of DCL, I proclaim that ALL IC requests would be computerized and kept in a database so that we could locate them easily and without resorting to a shoebox!!!

I give up, Aunty Brat, what is an IC??
Idiot in Command?
Ice Cream? (my favorite)

ICR = Ice Cream Runner, my part-time job on the ship, lol.

I think she's right...it's in the desert, which would be about 70 miles. But I'm not sure either (hey, I'm not a native californian)! A lot of help we are! :goodvibes

Yes, it is in the high desert - a couple hours away from Disneyland.

As for Door Signs, we'll be putting a couple together - and will probably bring our signs from the first Panama cruise..... It isn't too difficult to do. You can create a document (in Word, or similar) with your graphics and text. Then, just buy the magnetic sheets from Staples, and print them on your inkjet printer.

but how do you do the fancy schmancy stuff like adding words to the graphics? I know where to find the fonts, heck I think I can even get those to my computer, but adding the words, that's where things get fuzzy for me....and as drink carrying member of the DOD club I think I'll need those signs. or my DISignated walker will!:lmao:

I'm praying that all is well. So many chopper crashes over there lately. I pray for all our troops to keep out of harms way (as much as reasonably possible).:grouphug:

I hope all is well let us know. Will keep in our prayers.

My DD has Colonial Day at school tomorrow so I have to get apple pie and juice. Plus I have to find her something to dress up in.:headache: Good Luck to me.Talk to you guys later

As we get closer to the trip, touch base with me, and I can put one together for you.

Ok, I'll be good. :guilty: :scared:

Probably just as well. Adrienne just ordered 4 more Vera Bradley display cases for the store, and I still have to buy our plane tickets to Europe in September. Plus we just booked the Thanksgiving 2008 Magic cruise - going with some friends we've been trying to cruise with for years.

Why don't you go on the Thanksgiving 2007 Magic cruise? We are on that one!

Did ya'll hear about Anna Nichole? Weirdness...so sad:sad2:

I would love to, but we are already doing a (non-Disney :scared1: ) Med cruise in September and the Members cruise in October. We just can't swing a 5th week of cruising in this year. :sad2:

Did you see my post about being the only one up when the UK'ers say Good Morning/

Good Morning!

No snow days in the San Francisco bay area. Not never, not nohow!

Karen, wife of been2marceline

now now, I had a snow day in 1976 in San Jose. Okay it wasn't a snow day since we still went to school but it did snow that day....anyone else remember?

Hi ya'll. Or youn'se guys if you're from my original neck of the woods (that would be Pittsburgh). I just thought I'd jump on and introduce myself. I'm booked, along with my daughter, TX Sleeping Beauty on the Panama Cruise next year. I've never been on a discussion board before so it will take me a while to catch up.

Yep! We went to school and had a snowball fight. Teachers had "rainy day" recess at lunch though. I guess we were too wet when we came in from morning recess. :rotfl2:

Welcome aboard!! We are a great group of people here and I am sure you will catch on quick. Read the first page which will help and Aunty Brat periodically posts recaps of the posts.
