Resort decision fatigue

I wish they’d just turn the feature pool music way down! The sounds of pools and water features are nice honestly. I’m also stuck in my music with the 80s and 90s.

Fine with me too! Although me singing along to Sting and the Cranberries definitely raised the total volume at the CR main pool.

The rooms are fully refurbished at BLT now. People have posted that all the elevators etc are fully operational again. The only thing that will be closed during your stay would be the feature pool at BLT, but walking the extra .1 mile to get to the pools at Contemporary isn’t really that big of a deal. You should just do the 2bedroom for your stay during that time instead of messing around with split stays if you want to be at a monorail resort.
We were there in January during the real construction and the pool was closed due to low temp, skybridge was closed due to them doing work on that floor on that side of the building, and it rained the whole time. Yet we still really enjoyed our stay in a newly refurbished 2 bedroom. I’d go now before people beat them up and they aren’t refurbished for another 10 years. The rooms look great, the artwork is awesome and the beds are much better in the living room if you end up doing a 1 bedroom.

If by chance BTMR opens by spring break, I will be so ticked if I’m not at BLT. That might actually be the deciding factor here and not the pool lol.

Do they let you use a pool at another neighboring resort? Or do you just have to deal with it?

In our experience you just deal with it. They seem to leave one pool open when they do it. The one pool is always inadequate and not a place where you want to be because it is jammed with people. The lack of pool space isn’t the worst of it, however. The entire resort feels overcrowded and out of sorts because all of the people who would have been at the pool are now hanging out in other places around the resort. The resort also feels like a construction zone because the pool is generally the centerpiece of the resort. It happened to us at Beach Club and Grand Floridian. The last one was at Beach Club and dh was very unhappy about the situation and we vowed we would do a better job of paying attention to whether or not the pool was under refurbishment. Both times we didn’t know in advance because we just don’t usually pay attention.
