Isn't it just adorable?? Plus the little girl is so cute...ok this baby bug is getting to me. And the funny thing is the chances of me having a girl is worse odds than winning the lottery! I think I'd have twin boys if I got pregnant again...can you imagine? 6 boys under 10???

Lisa

I can't imagine one more. I get that bug sometimes but when I think about how we wouldn't be able to afford this cruise or other nice things, that bug gets swatted really fast!

Each child would actually be partnered up with someone else. The idea is that one child would be a Secret Mickey to another child, who in turn would be a Secret Mickey to another child and so on. Therefore, everyone would be enjoying the giving and receiving of gifts and would experience the excitement each day when they return to the cabin to find a card, gift, etc. has been left for them. This doesn't need to be expensive, could be as little as a dollar a day for each day on the cruise. It is simply the fun and magical moments for people giving and receiving gifts each day and to know that someone else on the cruise is thinking of you each day. Hope this clarifies the Secret Mickey event.

Come join the fun. Please PM me if you are interested.

ok, I'll talk to the kids about it, but I doubt that we will join. I'm fish gifted out with my own group I think. It sounds fun, but I'm too lazy, because even if it is a gift between the kids, mama still has to get them and pack them and remind the kid to pass them out. Sorry to be a party pooper.

We saw 21 tonight - very good film if anyone is thinking of seeing it.

Here are quick reviews of the last few movies we saw:

Stop Loss - I liked it, Darrell found it boring

Shutter - ok - but twist ending they did a poor job of setting up

Drillbit Taylor - absolutely horrible - the boys in the film are not bullied but assaulted - not funny at all! (And this coming from someone who loves horror films - but in this context the violence was too over the top!!)

It would be ~15 gifts, cards or some form of remembering your pal each day of the cruise. The thing that I will be stressing to everyone is that it doesn't need to be expensive. I am thinking of little gifts or cards worth ~$1 a day and if it is mainly children doing this I don't think that we can expect any more than that. It is the thought and magic of receiving and giving something each day. It may even be something the child has made. Little foam craft ornaments, beaded necklaces, etc. On our Christmas 2006 cruise one family made foam gingerbread character ornaments to put in people's stockings from the Dis board. I know our children loved them and will remember the little girls who gave them to them for many years to come each we will hang them on our Christmas tree each year. Dollarama or any dollar store would have some great gifts. We got a bunch of stuff to give from Dollarama. They had lots of great Disney stuff. Hope this helps and that you and/or your children join in the fun.

It does sound really nice, and I'm not concerned about the price of doing it, I'm just freaked about packing and getting work done and getting school work ready for cruise and and and....I'm afraid the calendar isn't my friend right now. Could we maybe do a note to your friend every day instead of getting stuff to pack and bring with us? Just an idea. I don't want to rain on your parade, I need to go to bed and be quiet since I may not be helping this idea any

nite for real now.

I've already broken into having to have 2 cabins, so throw in one more extra head count shouldn't be too bad. College...now THAT is another story! I'm encouraging my kids there is more to life than being educated!:rotfl: Seriously, I just heard of a local kid that got a FULL scholarship to Stanford as an "equipment manager." So I'm thinking I can get my kids in some sort of bat boy scholarship path.

I'm interested in the Secret Mickey...will we deliver to our fish extenders? Does it need to be every day or can we make it every even day or something? Every day for all 4 of mine might be too much... LIsa

Yes, I was thinking we would use the fish extenders. It certainly doesn't need to be open to every day. I am very open to suggestions and some variety of each even day or something would be great. Just to have the children receive something every now and then and have some more excitement to look forward to. I don't want to discourage people based on the number of gifts or the amount of money involved. Let's just add to the magic of our children's experience.

I am very open to suggestions. Lisa suggested something every second day and that is great. A note to your friend would be good too. No kidding the calendar isn't a friend right now. My goodness, my DH and I wrote on the calendar yesterday all the events our children have going on this month, as well as his follow up operation appointments, my work schedule, etc. It is crazy.

Anyhow I will keep track of all the ideas I am receiving and we can go from there as we get a little closer to the cruise.

Take care and good night. I am calling it a night as well.

Lisa

We have 28 days left until we leave for our vacation. I can't believe it is so close now. Getting a little scary with all there is to do.

Six boys under the age of 10, now that is a scary thought.

I'm going to see it tomorrow--thanks for the review!

Drillbit Taylor - absolutely horrible - the boys in the film are not bullied but assaulted - not funny at all! (And this coming from someone who loves horror films - but in this context the violence was too over the top!!)

This one looked awful from the previews!

It's nice to be home in my own bed! The sofa sleeper I slept on last night was AWFUL! My friend took me out birding and for a drive along the river, both CA and AZ sides. The day was beautiful--ALMOST too warm for me, but not quite! He's loving it but he's from Eugene, OR--the more heat, the better for him!:cool1:

On my 3 hr. drive home I listened to the rest of part 1, all of part 2 and some of part 3 of Oprah and Tolle's class. I like it better than I thought I would. He's very interesting to listen to (I haven't read any of his books, but have heard of them through friends who really like them). Oprah is just plain irritating...what a prima donna!

My ship is getting closer and closer to the sand castle!:cool1: It won't be long now! Hope to get caught up tomorrow. This traveling is really interferring with keeping up with our thread! ha

I don't like your answer!:rotfl:

Me neither!:sad2:

It doesn't mean that you won't find out before hand, but that it is always possible to not know.

I do know that DCL doesn't/didn't like to send out docs w/o a room number (if at all possible)

But with this cruise being full as far as we can tell(apart from the haunted 4), they could easily have got this done.

Quoting myself to say THANKS to PJ, pahrumpgirl and Nskjerven who PMed me with the mousepins.com address. If others posted the address here, thanks to you too.

Also to give you all an update by copying what I wrote Nan and pasting it here:

I have been BUSY!!

I have got to update my CPR and review is harder to focus on than I thought. I have bimonthly updates to do on my clients so deadlines to meet there. A couple other organizations where reading and writing are concerned and time slips away before there is any time to DIS.

Also some stress over what do we do with Mother, who is in a hospital with pneumonia and dehydration, while my brother is touring Australia. The MD says she will be discharged to her Alzheimer's community when she is well and not to worry. YAH, RIGHT

So, several phone calls to siblings and prayers asking God what should I do yesterday. Final decision is I am to do nothing. My sister and her friend are driving today and tomorrow from Alabama to keep Mother company, stay in the house where we grew up and when Mother is better, drive her to Alabama until my brother gets back. I will be on call for moral support and information as I am more medically trained than she. She is a mother hen, three of her chicks are out of the nest so she has the space and the temperament to deal with it all.

Back to studying for CPR.
Jan :earsgirl:

My words Jan - mad time for you. Hope things settle down for you soon.

Dland tickets are on sale on the site for 3 days at the price of 5 online I think, check Disney.com
That is a poor deal!!:lmao: Now, 5 days for the price of 3 would be much better!:rotfl2:

How big are they and how easily transportable?

They will be at sea for five days before they arrive in Hawaii. British Airways has their itinerary, but still cannot locate their luggage.

Woody

A couple from Yorkshire have gone to Hawaii to get married. Their luggage went missing. 2 bags have been located and on their way, but the dream wedding dress is in that big pile of luggage somewhere and won't make the wedding tomorrow.

I'm thinking 10am for the car pick up at the port. What do you think?

I posted a DCL reply some time ago saying they expect the ship to be cleared by 9.30. We are on late dinner seating so late brekkie I suppose.

Oh no :sad2: Poor bride and groom as their dream turn out devasted. I hate that happen.

Okay, I have a busy day today

Have a nice day
