You just reminded me that I need a prescription for antibiotics...I was so sick on the med..thank goodness for those nice folks from georgia...they were pharmacists and loaded me up with good stuff on board! I can't remember their disname..they were in our group, they were the ones who didn't get their luggage until the end...like florence or rome?!...they had 2 cute girls anyways, they saved my butt!
A few years ago, we booked the DVC member cruise and didn't tell Patrick. We packed in secret and said we were going out to lunch. We drove and drove and drove. He finally saw the water as we crossed the intercoastal, then he started asking all kinds of questions. Then he saw the WONDER! He said, when do I get to go on a boat ride? We told him today! He was so excited! Also, his birthday is in October, so it was a great gift!
My birthday is August 14th. I'm most DEFINITELY a Leo!
.
Afraid, I'm not your cousin. Would you like to adopt me?
I live in Chicago.

I've just been checking the VS website and discovered that check-in doesn't open until 1330.So we can't get rid of the bags until then. And until we've checked in, we can't have access to the lounge.
Even if we manage to check in online the day before, and manage to print our boarding passes, I don't think we'd be allowed airside with all our luggage. Plus we'll probably need a specific invitation to access the AZ lounge, rather than just our boarding pass.
So then I thought - left luggage.
But there's no facility at LAX any more.
Isn't air travel wonderful?![]()
Awesome news!!! I know this will sound silly, but that makes my night!!
Frank is terrible. They say he has Failure to Thrive. He has a fever and his blood pressure is about 70/40. He is throwning up and coming out the other end as well. He has had the hiccups since Monday non-stop. They say he is becoming septic, which I am not to sure I understand. They told me the infection is racing though the blood stream. He is weak and miserable.
Sorry to be so graphic,
Lisa

You are talking air travel but to me saying "the VS website" Means Victorias Secret. I was going to say wow I was checking it last night too!
Bad, bad day here. I really thought 2008 was going to be better but... I got a call from DD this morning that DGD12 was being transported from Salem Kaiser dr office to Dornbecker's Childrens Hospital. She has a very serious case of pneumonia. The Childrens Hospital is attached to the one DD and I work at by a skybridge so an easy walk over when she arrived. Her right lung is completely full and they were talking about putting in a chest tube, but after a second xray thought that might not be necessary. They have her on a couple of IV antibiotics and we are praying for a quick recovery. She is on oxygen, had a reaction to vancomycin and had to be put on benedryl for that. She is quite the trouper. When they were trying to get an IV in at Kaiser to transport they kept sticking her and she finally said "could you just try a different place?" I spent a bit of time with them, then decided I would go back to work for awhile while the docs worked her up and decided what to do. As I was walking back to my office I got a call on my cell from my sis telling me our cousin had commited suicide this morning.
This was as huge shock, the last person I would expect this from. His dad (my favorite uncle) has lost 2 wives in the past 5 years and now a child.
How much loss can one person endure? He can use lots of prayers. He is 82 years old and plans to fly back to Delaware for services. So far no one has been able to say they can go with him. I will talk with DrHug when he gets home and see if I can do a couple of days.
Ok, now I am going to try to catch up on this new thread. I will skip the last 10 pages of the old one.
Thanks for listening to my troubles.![]()

LOVED Six Feet Under. Can you believe I've never watched Nip/Tuck either and it totally sounds like something I would like.
I do love those pay cable shows - still miss Six Feet Under. I wonder when Dexter starts on Showtime again.

OMG Jon is my DH and we are talking to each other right now.
As long as you guys keep her company on the cruise and out of my hair; no ones in any trouble!

I wish I could get antibiotics to take with me, just in case. But in the UK it's difficult enough to get them when you are ill. No way will they prescribe them when you're not ill!
On our first cruise I was ill and knew I needed antibiotics. If I'd had some, I could've simply taken them. But instead I had to pay $100 for the onboard doctor to tell me I needed them, plus the cost of the antibiotics he prescribed of course.
