not much planned this weekend...the girls cousin is turning 3 and having a party up at my mom's house. I think we are obligated to go although i don't really want to. Then next weekend is easter??!!

That has set the adrenalin rushing here!!! Subtract from that 4 nights at the BCV and one at the airport hotel and it is just 52 and a bit days!!

I didn't stay up for the news last night...someone at work brought this to my attention this morning.....we'll have to see what this is about.

I have been reading about it on another forum. Sounds a nice way to spend an evening.

I was cranky yesterday. Grumped at DrHug a couple of times last night. He was as always patient with me. Hopefully another week and I will be adjusted.

Well he was expecting it Angie.

I need to get our well water tested today and then paint the laundry room. The folks that are interested in our house want to look again at 10:30 tomorrow morning, then will let us know by 3:30 if they are going to accept our counter offer. We are a little excited, a little nervous. The offer requires closing by April 14 and us to be out by the 19th. Lots of work to do that in a short time. But, if it is God's plan then we can get it done!

could be a busy few weeks but worth it!! Hope it all goes through for you.

Morning all,

Thought I would check in early from work. It's the last day of March break here in Ottawa and a Friday to boot, so an awful lot of people are taking the day off



I picked up a used Canon Rebel X...for a very decent price. It is not the newest model, but it can take all the current lenses available. I absolutely love it. Especially with the card I picked up ...it allows me to take over 1000 pictures at the highest resolution. It also has an adapter that allows me to switch between rechargeable and regular batteries

I am trying to figure out if I should bring my laptop along with us. Hopefully I will not be doing any work on the trip as I should be getting an extension on my current contract to take me past when we come back from the trip. I was planning on using it to store and edit the many pictures I'll be taking, as well as using it as a DVD player for Liam's favorite TV show - Corner Gas.

Anyone else bringing one along?

We picked up another couple of inches of snow last night....there are some streets downtown which used to be three lanes and now with the snowbanks they are barely one..ahhhhh, how many days till our trip?

Liam says that he will not get 'excited' until we get into May....( he said the same thing at 99 and 75 days )...I think he is just trying to maintain an even keel as he sees how obsessed I have been about it....Nancy just lets me plan away...keeps me out of her hair...

A quick question about Online Check in.

When can I start to do it? I am in there right now and it doesn't seem to be allowing me to do anything - for instance where it asks for citizenship it just says "Select One" and the drop down box is empty.

Am I not supposed to be filling it out quite yet?

I believe that DEB has already done the on line check in for us. some weeks back. may be that DCL is just having another "bad day" on the web site. Can anyone say "FISHES"

I was able to check out our details last night (8:30 EDT)....I guess it all depends on the time of day

We will be your neighbours there - we are at the POFQ and taking the DCL bus. However, we are going to the Pirate and Princess Party at MK on the night of the 9th.

lol...Liam will be 10 in Sept....we will probably be sleeping that night...it will be a long day as our flight from Ottawa is at 7 am....just want to chill out at POR

hoping I can grab one of those carts.....not looking forward to clearing customs in Toronto both times....love doing it in Ottawa....but Westjet and Air Canada stopped their direct flights to Orlando

Lowepro Compudaypack. The laptop slides into a compartment in the back, the cpap fits in the large top compartment in the front and his canon Dwhatever it is fits in the smaller compartment in the front with a couple of lenses, a small holder for his cards, some extra batteries and a filter or two. Really has made our flying life easier since he required a carryon for each of those three items before. Now he has that one, I have my backpack with all our meds, my wallet, our passports, etc in it. Way less for us old folks to shelp around an airport trying to get from gate to gate.

There are people on there that I don't reconize. Marr....you listed a couple, dish...

Nope I didn't list them I just named them. A few people put a pin on but didn't put their "name" in the title where it would show up just the other part of the description. I looked at all the ones with no title, took their name from the bottom and put their name on top. Does that make any sense? Hard to describe what I am trying to say.
