All,

We have had to make an almost impossible choice. Some of you have been pm'd already, Karen is too blue to let everyone else know.

We are not going to be able to make the Repo. Business issues are going to prevent us from going.

NUTS!

We have been doing everything feasible to make it work out, but it it just not possible at this time.

DOUBLE NUTS!!

The part that distresses us the most is how much we wanted to either meet everyone here, and then enjoy spending some time with everyone.

MONDOGAZILLION NUTS!!!!!!

The silver lining, is that I hope that another DIS'er on the thread is in line for the Cat. 2, the call may have already been made. :)

The song has been sung.....

We're in the process of trying to get the sparkling wine thing done by DCL, not sure if it will happen, but we'll be on the ship in spirit and maybe - holding Rum drinks at the terminal when the Magic comes home....

We'll still be in touch now and then, the next adventure is the June 20, 2009 Tortola.

We'll keep a weather eye out for ye mateys!pirate:

So sad to hear this Karen and Ted.

Really was looking forward to meeting you guys, but perhaps paths will cross another time. Tell Karen we are thinking of her too - Sorry . . .

OK - Can't read but just have to post this little note:::::::

P.I.F.

It's my 10 year old b-day party tonight - we have a couple rooms at a local hotel that has an indoor pool. 8 boys, including my 4. We will spend the night. Tomorrow I have a 10:45 flight to MSP to attend my Grandmother's service. I am SOOOOOOOO VERRRRYYYYYYY HAPPPYYYYYY about this. It will make going to the funeral a little easier. I'm sure my Grandmother would think it is a great idea for us to spend 15 nights together. Life goes by like a blink.

Try to post later, but just had to share my news!!

Congrats! I'm so glad you were able to make it. Look forward to meeting you on the ship!

So who here watched Cashmere Mafia and Lipstick Jungle? Did you like one or the other or both? I liked both but after getting used to the fast pace of CM, which I LOVE, I thought LJ was just a little sluggish. I'll watch it again to see if I want to continue, maybe it will pick up some. But I like CM better.....hands down!

I have watched both and like both, I think I prefer lipstick jungle. However, we've only had one episode. I need more to see if it sticks or not!

So sorry to hear you can't go. We'll make sure to raise a glass to you.

Our desktop is having troubles....:surfweb: DrHug is trying to get it working. Seems to have lost the ability to sign on to the web server we use. I fear he will wipe it clean again and just reload everything. Problem is that I loose all my "favorites" I have saved on there. :sad2: He says there may be nothing else to do. OY! He had our taxes ready to submit, but could not get it to sign on. Thank goodness we have the laptop and can tether thru his phone thru Verizon so I can get on to make those ressies! :scared:

Hey, John1. Earlier he said "I think my next will be a Mac!" I told him you would be pleased. ;)

Smart man that Dennis!

Nan
What zip line tour are you doing? I might want to check that out too. Which port?

For the millionth time can someone post the important dates again. This time I promise to write them down! I promise!

Also, we have room in our jeep in aruba for 2 if someone decides they want to come. FYI

HNIC (Hockey Night in Canada) is the world's oldest sports-related television program still on the air. HNIC has its roots back in 1931 on the radio. In 1952 CBC began broadcasting it on TV every Saturday night, and the tradition continues to this day.

Foster Hewitt is the man most recognizable as saying "It's Hockey night in Canada" as he was the play by play commentator on radio prior to the move to TV and he was the commentator up until 1960.

The "original 6" teams are: Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks, Boston Bruins, and New York Rangers. However, the NHL was originally formed in 1917 and consisted of 4 teams (2 in Montreal, 1 in Ottawa and 1 in Toronto). Between 1924 and 1927 the League was expanded by 7 more teams including the Boston Bruins who were the first US expansion team. Due to the depression and WWII the League was forced to reduce to the 6 teams I mentioned above.

1967 saw the original 6 teams expand by 6 more teams: Philadelphia Flyers, St. Louis Blues, Minnesota North Stars, Los Angeles Kings, Oakland Seals, and Pittsburgh Penguins. In 1971 Buffalo and Vancouver were added.

After that the league has seen many teams get added and subtracted so until you see it for what it has become today.

Hockey Day in Canada is an offshoot of the original HNIC where CBC celebrates the game of hockey in Canada all day. There is over 13 hours of broadcasting, much of which is from small towns and the "grassroots" of hockey in this country and dealing alot with minor hockey leagues. There is a triple header of hockey with all of the Canadian teams in play (though not all of them are broadcast across the nation and are limited to regional broadcasts). Usually we see the Leafs, the battle of Alberta (Edmonton and Calgary), and the Canucks, with the Canadiens the Senators stuck to being on regional broadcasts only.

So there it is in snapshot.

I'm sure it was "enlightening"!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Enlightening and interesting. Thanks for sharing. Love this board!! :thumbsup2

OH NO! This makes me so sad! Ted, please let Karen know how sad we all are, but we understand. :grouphug: I'm so sorry I won't get to meet you all. Maybe on another cruise.

Jackie, You there?

When I log onto Disney in MY CRUISE RESERVATION DETAILS it only shows me and Daniel....I thought it would show all of our party??

What do you think?

Steph, check out the calendar in PJ's signature. It helped me out a lot. And it's easily accessable.

I am not a big candy fan . . . a little goes a real long way for me, other than dark chocolate.

Give me a bag of dark M&M's or Snocaps, and those will be gone!

BTW - had my physical the other day, and other than weight and allergies, I am healthy as a horse. Cholesterol is at 140, and all other blood work is in the desirable range.

We really like our doctor - she is about our age, owns DVC, and has been on DCL too, so we have a lot in common!

Ohhh Snowcaps another one I love.

Yes all I am dozens of pages back stale posting LOL

Holly, :grouphug: for you and Tyler getting through the night.
Thanks! I needed that. This is new to me, so I'm a bit freaked out, but I know he'll be fine. Last time he woke to jabber delieriously, his head was a bit sweaty, and I remember reading that's a good sign. Maybe he'll sleep longer and longer each time.

Yes, it was enlightening. I should have trusted my instinct - I wanted to say NY Rangers was the 6th team. I didn't remember the timing of the expansion (1967) or all of the teams included then but being raised an hour outside of Detroit I do remember the discussion over Saturday night TV (and for the record, my father always got to watch what he wanted - like that comes as any surprise to any children in that era:rotfl2: )

Okay I am tired and I want to go to sleep.....11:13pm here and it was so busy today. I am exhausted!!

Now that my internet seems to be cooperating (knock on wood), and Tyler's not throwing up (BIG knock on wood) and is sleeping soundly for a few minutes, I'd better look at the excursions again to remind myself what I wanted! I was doing that earlier today but keep getting disconnected. I still need to look up Aruba I think. :thumbsup2 Back in a few!
