We have had to make an almost impossible choice. Some of you have been pm'd already, Karen is too blue to let everyone else know.

We are not going to be able to make the Repo. Business issues are going to prevent us from going.

NUTS!

We have been doing everything feasible to make it work out, but it it just not possible at this time.

DOUBLE NUTS!!

The part that distresses us the most is how much we wanted to either meet everyone here, and then enjoy spending some time with the everyone.

MONDOGAZILLION NUTS!!!!!!

The silver lining, is that I hope that another DIS'er on the thread is in line for the Cat. 2, the call may have already been made.

The song has been sung.....

We're in the process of trying to get the sparkling wine thing done by DCL, not sure if it will happen, but we'll be on the ship in spirit and maybe - holding Rum drinks at the terminal when the Magic comes home....


We'll still be in touch now and then, the next adventure is the June 20, 2009 Tortola.

OK, call me mean, but I just had to laugh at this one! Bad mom for laughing at Tyler right now, but he woke up, sat up, and with his face all scrunched up, said, "No! You can't let them! You have to stop them!" I was concerned and asked, "Who? Stop them from what?" He said, "The Domino's pizza! It's gonna be gone!" All I could say was, "It's OK....nobody's gonna eat your pizza, I promise!" He told me OK, thanks mom, and lay back down.

John, on my blackberry for some web sites there is a choice DESKTOP or MOBILE. I just keep selecting MOBILE and it really is pretty easy to use. Do you see anything liek that?

That's what PJ pointed me to Lisa. I will keep trying. The DIS just wraps around the tiny screen so much it makes me dizzy trying to figure out what the page should really look like. At least on the iPhone you can zoom in and out, and flip to horizontal.

This is a great phone though. I have been reading up on how to use it tonight, and some of the features are just amazing in such a small package. One thing still baffles me though . . . you can set alerts by whether it is in, or not in a holster. How does it know? Is it the orientation, or is there a special BB holster that toggles a switch? I got a nice leather holster that fits it perfectly, but am really wondering about this feature and how it works.

Any ideas?

Our desktop is having troubles.... DrHug is trying to get it working. Seems to have lost the ability to sign on to the web server we use. I fear he will wipe it clean again and just reload everything. Problem is that I loose all my "favorites" I have saved on there. He says there may be nothing else to do. OY! He had our taxes ready to submit, but could not get it to sign on. Thank goodness we have the laptop and can tether thru his phone thru Verizon so I can get on to make those ressies!

On the MED cruise I kept try to refresh and it did not work after midnight East. So I logged out and logged back in and that did not work either. The resservations did not come up till like 12:20...made all the DIS people CRAZY. I hope that is not the case tonight.

When I was a kid (many, many years ago) hockey was televised every Saturday night and that was how they started the show - "It's Hockey Night in Canada!". And yes, Ithink there were only six or so teams then too - Boston, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal and Detroit. There were porbably more but I can't remember them.

HNIC (Hockey Night in Canada) is the world's oldest sports-related television program still on the air. HNIC has its roots back in 1931 on the radio. In 1952 CBC began broadcasting it on TV every Saturday night, and the tradition continues to this day.

Foster Hewitt is the man most recognizable as saying "It's Hockey night in Canada" as he was the play by play commentator on radio prior to the move to TV and he was the commentator up until 1960.

The "original 6" teams are: Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks, Boston Bruins, and New York Rangers. However, the NHL was originally formed in 1917 and consisted of 4 teams (2 in Montreal, 1 in Ottawa and 1 in Toronto). Between 1924 and 1927 the League was expanded by 7 more teams including the Boston Bruins who were the first US expansion team. Due to the depression and WWII the League was forced to reduce to the 6 teams I mentioned above.

1967 saw the original 6 teams expand by 6 more teams: Philadelphia Flyers, St. Louis Blues, Minnesota North Stars, Los Angeles Kings, Oakland Seals, and Pittsburgh Penguins. In 1971 Buffalo and Vancouver were added.

After that the league has seen many teams get added and subtracted so until you see it for what it has become today.

Hockey Day in Canada is an offshoot of the original HNIC where CBC celebrates the game of hockey in Canada all day. There is over 13 hours of broadcasting, much of which is from small towns and the "grassroots" of hockey in this country and dealing alot with minor hockey leagues. There is a triple header of hockey with all of the Canadian teams in play (though not all of them are broadcast across the nation and are limited to regional broadcasts). Usually we see the Leafs, the battle of Alberta (Edmonton and Calgary), and the Canucks, with the Canadiens the Senators stuck to being on regional broadcasts only.
