May 1-5 Vs June 4-9

We currantly have a trip planned for April 30-May5. Our children's school is now giving us a hard time because the kids will be out of school so close to the end of the school year. The last day of school is May 24.
We can replan for May 28-June 2 or June 4-9. Which of these will be less crowded?
We are used to going in Sept. so we know there will be more crowds than we are used to, but we don't want to feel overwhelmed by them. If that makes sense.
Any suggestions?

My guess is that there won't be much difference. I think the crowds tend to grow as you progress through June, so there will probably be less people in the resorts and parks from May 28-June 2. May 28 may be crowded due to Memorial Day weekend but I think most of the "Memorial Day Crowd" leaves on or before Memorial Day (Monday, May 29) so they won't be in the parks. There is some additional increase in crowds due to GayDays with the AK being a selected park for June 1 and MGM-Studios being a selected park for June 2. However, I think the additional impact from more school children being out will make June 4-9 more crowded.

We have visited during these time periods and there was a notible increase in the number of people at the resorts and parks going into the 2nd week.

Thanks, I think we'll definately think of the earlier week. I've heard that during gay days as long as you avoid the certain parks on those days that it's not all that bad. I hope that's the truth because with kids ages 13, 12, 9 and 2; I'll be answering lots of questions. LOL
