Massachusetts folks post here!!!

Our home resorts are OKW & AKV. So far we've stayed at OKW, VWL, and BWV - and they were all great. We're staying at AKV in April. I hope we're able to try all of the DVC resorts at some point.

Have fun on your upcoming trip! :goodvibes

P.S. Where in WR do you live? We live right near Roxbury Latin.

As do we ... close to the WROX commuter rail stop. Boy, it is a small world, isn't it!

Anyone know if the Disney resorts have TBS? We are leaving Friday and we gotta watch the SOX! Thanks!

I gotta know too. We'll be there the week of Oct 15, and assuming my beloved Sox advance to next round, I'm freaking out about being able to watch them. Don't want to go to ESPN Club - TOO Loud!

Well, I found out the the Disney Resorts apparently DO NOT have TBS
so we will have to suffer this next week without it. After last night, I am hoping for a quick sweep! However, Parrothead, I heard that the ALCS games (maybe Sox/Yankees) will be on FOX, so you might be in luck! Have a great trip!

It sure is a small world (Ugh, now I've got that song stuck in my head  )! We live near the WR stop too. DH takes the train to and from that stop every day.

Have a great trip!

Born and raised in Lowell, MA!! Married a Dracut boy and I still live in Lowell.
:cool1:

:welcome: I see this is only your second post. Coincidently, down here in Texas, DS has a good friend in college who comes all the way from Lowell.

Thanks for the Welcome! If this friend comes from Lowell they must be a good kid!! :)

I am always disappointed in the Farmland because I am spoiled by Wilson Farm in Lexington. They have more cashiers than Shaws.

I'm also a Market Basket gal. Also find Shaws too expensive. Did anyone hear that they are building a Market Basket up behind the new Stop & Shop in Reading??

I love Wilson Farm too but hardly get there nowadays!! Farmland is just perfect for me!! I can't wait until they open the Market Basket behind Stop and Shop!!! I heard not until late next year though................will save me the trips to Middleton Market Basket!!!!

Okay guys...I just got home from dinner tonight. My dd really wanted to go to Carbone's, in Hopkinton, so off we went. Well, as we came out, around 6:00, I see a nice lime green Mickey antenna topper, Cape/Islands license plate. Any of you eating dinner there tonight???

Have you tried the MB in Danvers?? Where the old KMart was?? Even better than Middleton. Across the highway from Liberty Tree Mall.

Just drove by the new Stop & Shop in Reading and saw the sign for the new MB. It is down where Frugle Fannies was. But the buildings are so close - they could have connected them. LOL I don't think Stop & Shop will last long. Why pay $4 for milk when you can pay $2.79??

I heard that MB was GREAT!! Haven't been yet. I have been shopping at the one in Salem NH as my DD has cheerleading there twice a week and instead of driving back and forth I jsut do my shopping then.

I don't know how Stop N Shop will be able to compete with Market Basket prices!!! It will be funny to see what happens...............maybe some competitive price wars and we, the consumers will make out in the deal!!!

A little off topic but...Can someone explain to me why baseball is the only sport that celebrates clinching a playoff spot, winning one round of playoffs etc. Don't they know they haven't won anything yet. It's idiotic. When they win the World Series then they can celebrate.

Born and raised in New Bedford; husband from Norwood; have been in Foxboro for 13 years, BWV members since 1999.

KevGuy....we're planning an April school vacation week visit too. Have you booked your flight yet? I can't find a decent price anywhere for nonstop Logan/MCO or PVD/MCO. Never traveled that week before and surprised that can't find anything nonstop under $500. Have been looking since May.

I must have missed the history portion of the original post. But we live 20 miles from Provincetown, ( ya know, where the Pilgrims originally landed), and real close to First Encounter Beach where the Pilgrims first encountered native Americans:)

When we moved from Danvers to Orlando back in 2003, my wife missed Market Basket and Stop & Shop so much. Now that we've been living back in MA for a while, she misses and can't wait for the day that 'Publix' becomes our neighborhood grocery once again. I think not so much because it's better, but because it'll mean she's living on Disney's front doorstep once again. :)
