HI,

MLK Day will be celebrated whilst we are out there, can anyone tell me the affect that this has?

Will the shops be open/busy?

Is this a good day to avoid the parks, and if so, where woudl you recommend that we go instead? :moped:

We are so used to going at quiet times, we have never experienced a bank holiday in the US before.

Any advice? :crowded: :jumping3:

I've never been to WDW at that time, but Martin Luther King Day is pretty meaningless in travel terms. It's the middle of the winter. People don't tend to take long weekends for travel in the dead of winter. It's not at all like memorial day, which falls at the end of May at the end of the school year, when people have no problem yanking their kids out of school for a few days or more.

This is the middle of the school year, when people just don't do that. So I can't imagine that they'll be much of a change in crowds.

In other words, I doubt you'll notice.
