Love the Boardwalk photos but wow what a start to the morning! I'm glad it got better and Henry was happy with his small Mickey Mouse figure

Well that's one way to start a day...oy!! But you can't beat the view and the Boardwalk does look deserted...so plus for you!!

Well it was a nice idea!! Glad things worked out in the end, I know I always get frazzled in those little bakeries with the huge lines (Boulangerie Patisserie, I'm looking at you...)

One time DBF and I also thought it would be so nice and pleasant to have breakfast on the Boardwalk. It was SO cold and windy, but we ordered some hot drinks, sat at one of those little tables, and were entirely determined to have our lovely breakfast! It was very nice (I love their chocolate croissants!), but I'd say I'm only going there super-early and under ideal weather conditions only!

Yup, everyone can have an off morning- even at Disney! I'm glad you didn't let it get you down. I've never been to the Boardwalk Bakery at breakfast, but it does seem like every time I have ventured inside it was a madhouse. The lack of a proper "food court" or to-go place, is in my opinion, one of the only downsides to the boardwalk.

You've got me worried about Henry's Mickey! I hope he doesn't get lost!

Some of you have been following me here on the DIS since before Joe and I got married. Then you were there with me through all the planning of Henry's first trip at 14 months old and now look at this big boy - he's going to school!

The days are long, but the years are short!

He insisted on posing.

And after! It was only 1 hour the first day, but he LOVED every second of it. We had a very successful second day today as well!

But aww Henry's first day of school! He looks so excited! I'm glad he likes it - that is awesome I just watched the Full House episode where little Michelle goes off to school and this totally reminded of me of it! I love that age - it's just the best

I hate birds SO much...I was bitten by a Goose on the toe at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago in my teens because I wouldn't share my soft pretzel with it. Ever since I get so nervous when birds are around!!!

Oh no...I really hope Henry doesn't loose his Mickey!

He looks SO cute on his first day of school! That is great that he was so excited, and enjoyed it so much!!!!

Wow - you really remember that Boardwalk morning with such great accuracy. I am impressed. Well - of course Henry wants the cereal. Sheesh - mom! You're right. It's all about the marketing.

Love you pictures. Right now I had a 3 night reservation at VWL for June (following my 5 night treehouse stay), but I think I am going to try for BWV at 7 months. Suggestions for a location? The treehouse is for a big group. Then I am following it with a studio for just Denny and I. We'll need some downtime!

Congrats to Henry on his first day of school. Yes - from here on out it will fly!

OK, I am going to have to add eating at the Boardwalk Bakery to my list of things to do in April. Thanks for the pictures...we were just able to switch our reservation from SSR to BWV and I can't wait!

I have had those times. You try your darndest to just relax and go with it but it keep slapping you in the face.

All in all you had breakfast and everyone ate. Maybe not what you originally intended but everyone ate something.

A second cup of coffee is just what you neeed that morning.


In the Boardwalk the Bellvue lounge used to serve breakfast. It was the same stuff - bagels, pasteries coffee and cold stuff but when we stayed there way back in 2001 pre -9-11 we made it our morning stop. Not having a real counter service was a problem that trip.


I hope Mickey sticks around.
