Happy 4th Birthday Henry!
normal_Mickey_Cake.jpg

Aww, so cute! Love how he has the monorail set. :thumbsup2 Hope Henry had a good birthday!

Happy Belated Birthday to Henry!! Hope the celebration continues all weekend long LOL!!!!

Happy Birthday, Henry! He really is just so adorable, Brook. And super photogenic. Love it! Have a great weekend... oh, and I have my eye on Henry's present...they make THAT??? :goodvibes

Sorry, it's a bit late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY HENRY!!!! party:

Love all the pics and yay on getting a CR for the monorail set!

I'm late too but I wanted to wish Henry a Happy 4th Birthday! How was Chuck E Cheese?

Finallyyyyyyyy doing some replies here! Thank you for your patience with me! :goodvibes

Oh man, that temporary Lego store, with that big Yellow tent...I walked in and immediately had to walk back out. I think I lasted all of 30 seconds. Since everything was shaded yellow it was making me goofy!!!

 It did give that weird yellow hue on everything! I'm glad it was a short-lived structure! The new store is great...though still completely packed wall to wall with people!

First, have a great trip Brook and family!

Regarding the update, I laughed out loud at your description of Joe taking out the traffic cone. That must have been hilarious! I can imagine the bus driving was thinking "well if that guy wants to catch my bus that bad, I'd better wait." :rotfl:

"Brownie dessert" at EOS is being filed away in my super high-security Disney planning vault. Which means, I hope I don't forget.

Man, that Lego store looks big.

It was hilarious! Whenever I think of that moment I still burst into laughter. :rotfl2:

That brownie dessert, paired with a cup of coffee was SO STINKIN' good! Now, I had it a couple weeks ago again and it was too hot for coffee, so I couldn't enjoy it quite as much for some reason....but it was still tasty!

What a FUN day!! You had a little of everything - perfect!!

And you leave TOMORROW!!! Woo hoo!!! Have a GREAT time!!

It had been a great day-what I can now remember of it. ;)

Have a wonderful time Brook!! Make sure you learn a lot for those clients of yours.:goodvibes

I truly hope that we have a couple of these days in October. No rushing around, being able to take things in and enjoy the details.

Who am I kidding? I go to WDW with a commando in tow!:rotfl2:

I've learned to really slow down the past trips - part of me is all commando a few days and then I fizzle. I think it's worked well! This Feb/March trip was the opposite though-relax, relax-ohmygoshwearerunningoutoftime! COMMANDO!

First of all have a FABULOUS trip!!!!!!

I love following along on this trip, so I am going to PM you my facebook info so you can add me as a friend!!!!

Wow you got so many Potato Head parts! That is something my girls are really looking forward to next month!

I hope you enjoyed the live updates from the World! I love doing them.

The box stuffing with the potato head parts is a lot of fun. I get really competitive about it and stuff/re-stuff and re-stuff again thinking maybe I can get just one more piece in....

What an awesome evening brook. Henry is just too cute with his lego store comment!

Love EOS - sooooooo good!

Have a great trip!

I could use some EoS tonight, sure would beat the turkey burgers that are cooking on the stove!

Have a great trip! We visited 4 years ago this same week and had the best trip ever, truly my favorite! The weather was hot, but I thought the crowds were not bad at all! Can't wait for updates

It was a great time to visit! The crowds were not bad at all, I expected much worse. We had no problems getting on things and even experienced a walk-on to the Safari in the afternoon! :thumbsup2

First off :woohoo: on going to Disney World tomorrow!!!

Great update - I love the pictures of Boardwalk and Henry looks so happy with his balloon! :cutie:

Lol at the bus story - am glad the bus driver waited for you. I have also heard about that Chocolate Brownie at EoS and can't wait to try it popcorn:: Will def have to make sure I combine it with the coffee as well.

Have a great trip!!

It's a fantastic combo! I didn't like the brownie as much without coffee, but that's probably just my weirdness! ;)

Uhhh YUM! That brownie looks scrumptious! Every single TR I read has people raving about one thing or another at EOS! I must get there this trip, no if's and's or but's!
27 pieces for the potato head is pretty good! I love those boxes. They make me wish I had kids because I can't justify buying one for myself
What a nice relaxing day. :)

EoS is YUM! It really is some very good eats. The line is always long and you often have to stalk down a table, but it's worth it! Good, good stuff.

Perhaps you could purchase the Potato Head parts for a niece/nephew or friend's child? You get all the fun of stuffing the box, but they get the toy!

I'm drooling over you EOS! I have 1 moth and 11 days before I can taste the yumminess!
I've never bought potato head parts, do the y charge by the box or piece? Kadence does need a few pieces to complete her Toy story family.

They charge by the box. It's about $20 for as much as you can stuff in. However, I do believe that you can also purchase the pieces separately. I'm not sure what they charge though.

What a wonderful day!

I love that you have mickey stickers stuck haphazardly all over your sweatshirt! I end up looking like that by the end of almost every Disney day also. Maybe our boys have a future in fashion design! :rotfl:

EoS looks so yummy, I could go for a sandwich, or brownie right about now!

Have a wonderful trip!

:lmao: Yes, Mickey Heads stuck in very random spots all over my shirts is a normal look that I run with while at Disney. It's been that way for a couple years now, I think I've got a couple more to go. ;)

You goin' somewhere? :)

What a life! I can picture you guys just hanging out on that balcony watching the world go by. :cool2:

Great picture!
I am thinking of doing a safari themed classroom next year. Maybe I could get these guys to come and help me out. ::yes::

I wish I could now say again I was going somewhere....sigh. :sad2: But you have your October trip to look forward to, right???

Love the Safari themed idea!! They do have safari dressed plushes too that are mighty cute.

Have a great trip! See ya on FB! :)

I hope you enjoyed following along!

Great pics from DHS...

I like your karate picture! :rotfl2:

The store where those sweets were is part of Beverly Sunset Sweet Spells. :thumbsup2

In AK... what a cute picture of Henry acting like a Rhino!
Great PP pics from AK too!

I can't believe you and Jen are leaving for Disney tomorrow!!!!! I. AM. JEALOUS! Have a wonderful trip... I hope you don't update this TR till you get back. I still have a list of TRs & PTRs I need to catch up on. :surfweb:

Ah ha! Why I can't ever remember the store names at DHS is beyond me. We enjoyed gazing at the goods there!

I hope my extreme delay in updating my own TR has allowed you to catch up. I have quite a bit of catching up still left to do myself!

What a wonderful evening. Mabye I'll get some potatoe head parts for Claire. I bet she would like those. I have to squeez so much in in so little time. I wish I would've added an extra night now after.
See you on Monday! (unless we run into each other beforehand!)

As I now know, Claire loves those Potato Head parts! :goodvibes

It was GREAT meeting you Jen! You were a wonderful roomie and I hope we get to see each other again in the future!!!

Thanks for all the updates before you left. I hope you're having a great time!

I tried! Now just to update now that I'm back...:rotfl:

Adorable!!!

Everything from EOS looks delicious...BUT that dessert...OH.MY!!!!!

Have a fabulous trip!!!! :yay:

Isn't that pic cute? Just chillin' on the balcony. That kid loves a balcony!

Happy Vacation!! Hope you have the best time!!!! Can't wait to hear about your trip!!!

I have added it to the "list" right under Glennbo's tips.

Busy week on my end = no Dis Time :headache: Playing catch up and I missed the send off.

Have a magical trip and I am following along on FB and Twitter.

Love the update!

Have a great trip as well.

So sorry I missed the send off!:confused3

I know you're having a great time. I can't wait to read about all the neat things you're learning this week. You are going to share a little?;)

Thanks everyone for the send-off! And no worries if it was "late", I didn't get a chance to realize it. :rotfl: I was really hoping to get on here during the trip, thinking we'd have Wi-Fi during the conference....but we didn't! :headache: I used up my entire data plan on my phone too...yikes!

so lovely kid, I like he very much. so perfect:love:

Aw, thank you!!!

Mmmm earl of sandwich :cloud9: I want it oh so bad.
You seriously had me considering purchasing a mr potato head for myself... all of the parts look so fun! i should probably wait till i have kids one day, though... it will be put to much better use then
LOVE the tweedle dee and tweedle dum picture haha. So cute!!
And the free balloon at the boardwalk thing... I SO want one

Or perhaps another child you know could enjoy the Potato Head parts...:rolleyes1 Stuffing the box is half the fun!

I love the free balloons at the Boardwalk! I say next time you are in there, get one! You are allowed to be a big kid at Disney! Walt would approve!

Great update BE!

And some nifty tater head parts.

Love the cliffhanger of the next title.

I cannot even remember the cliffhanger I left with...:rotfl2:

Geez, move and leave the boards for a bit and you're 10 pages behing lol

The Wolfe family: I am amazed that they take the time to do this on vacay. Seems like the last thing I'd take time to do lol

I have been over 40 pages behind on people's TRs so you aren't doing half-bad!

I have thought that same thing about the Wolfe family! But I think he's probably making a small side-income off it and the Ads on the videos....plus getting the recognition even from Disney is pretty awesome!

But I still don't think I'd bother...! I'm glad he does though, it's cute. Here is another cute one a fellow TA of mine posted on her Wall:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQHfvKIqr1s

I believe that you bought the same little characters for the monorail I have. The only series I don't have are the Pixar characters. I have no more room in the monorail ;)

Awe, did he find Pan?

I've only ever seen the two choices, the ones we have and the Pixar ones - are there more?

Looking at pics of Henry just made me remember how he held my hand at the end of the dinner. Such a sweet moment ;) I'll cherish it for a long time :)

:cutie: He speaks of you (and Nikki) very often!! He calls you both my "Disney friends"

I'm finally all caught up! Hope you are enjoying Disney! I am so jealous!

Thank you!!! It was a fantastic trip!

Hope you are having

...having....???? :rotfl: ;)

Hi, Brook! I would say, "I hope you are having a great time on your trip," but I know that you are from all the fabulous posts on Facebook! :thumbsup2

That picture of Henry with his feet up on the balcony -- that says it all about what a great relaxing day you had! I wish I could be doing that right now!

I didn't get any balcony time this past trip - I think the next Disney trip it might get scheduled in. I love hanging on the balcony a bit and watching the World go by!

Great trippie! I love the updates and you're really getting me in the mood for our trip coming up in October! Keep them coming!

I WILL be posting again soon! I promise! Life has been a bit craZy and I've been attempting to catch on all my other threads. I really want to start my other two TRs and a PTR too. :faint:

I heard from those who FB that you had an amazing time at OKW!!! And I recently learned you are a Disney TA! HMMMM, Maybe I should pick your brain! I am having so much trouble keeping up these days! I just love your wonderful updates! :goodvibes

We did! We loved OKW! It really surprised me how much we enjoyed it. I am generally not a fan of the "monster" sized resorts, but it was lovely! And yes! I became a TA (specializing in Disney vacations) about 6 months ago now-I cannot believe it's been 6 months already! I'm loving it...such a great job!

I briefly saw your traveling home/possible delay post on FB, but I never knew the outcome. I'm figuring you made it home safe and sound. Looking forward to hearing all about it, of course! :goodvibes

We did! We were delayed - but thankfully NOT cancelled. NY has gotten some crazy weather lately...!

Hi Brook! I hope you had a great trip. Creighton received his Mickey Mail and he was soooo excited. He was running around with it saying "mouse, mouse, mouse" and giving it kisses. Thank you very much for doing that for him. You definitely made his day! :lovestruc

I'm SO glad it came!!!! I found out AFTER I mailed the postcards that the rate went up! :scared1: It must have gone up while we were in the World! I was upset when I found out the other day and was going to contact you all--soooooo glad it came and that he loved it!!! :cutie:

how in the world did I miss your report!! Ugh!! Well, I am here now!

LOL, it's okay! It happens! Glad you found me! :welcome:

Okay, you see what time I posted the above post....well I am all caught up now thanks to your super duper links in your first post!! Woo hoo!!!

Oh, and aren't the brownies at EoS the best!!!! Yum!!!!

Glad my links helped! :thumbsup2 I could seriously go for some EoS now. I wonder when that NYC store is opening...and if they will have the brownies and Kona coffee....!!!!

Hi Brook - was thinking of you when hearing about Hurricane Irene making it's way to New York. Hope you, Henry and Joe all remain safe and look forward to seeing that 'all clear' update

Hope everything goes well Brook - stay safe.

Brook, I will be thinking of you. I had seen the evacuation of the low areas and was wondering whether it would affect you. I hope you are safe and I will be looking forward to hearing from you when everything is over!!

Be safe Brook. Hopefully you and the other New Yorkers will not be terribly affected.

Prayers for everyone that is in the path of Irene.

I just posted on Memoms report asking about you. I will be thinking of you guys.

When I lived in Jacksonville, FL, we went through a hurricane (the time 4 crossed the state). We were out of power for 4 days. Although, it got hot, it was some of my favorite memories. There were no long term affects or loss of life and everyone got to be with their families in the candlelight. We read and played games. Hopefully, everything ends up staying off the coast for you. :grouphug:

Stay safe!

Stay safe, we're expecting to get some part of Irene Monday, hope she slows down before she hits us!

stay safe Brook... we're in Maryland waiting for it to hit up tomorrow!

Brook, we will be thinking of you, Joe and Henry and keeping you close in heart and prayers (along with Tim and his family).

Thinking about you, Joe and Henry as Irene invades NY. I hope the power stays on or the outage is short and you can someday have some good memories of this time as you look back on this adventure.

I was in college during hurricane Gloria. The town had no power for a week but we got power back on campus in a few hours due to hospital. A bit scary, but time spent experiencing it actually brings back good memories.

Stay safe and dry, everyone!

We're getting ready for the same weather as you (we're in NJ), I'm hoping it's not too bad!! Best wishes to you guys!!

Hi Brook, I've been thinking about you and your family hearing the news about Irene. I hope you stay safe and can "enjoy" the time spent with your boys!

Be safe Brook. I will be thinking of you.

Stay safe Brook, I hope the power holds on for everyone!

I've been thinking about you as Irene approaches. Stay safe this weekend, Brook, Joe, and Henry!

i hope your trip was fun!!! i will be hoping and praying for you and your family during the huricane!!!
I can't believe your luck! Go to Disney, come home get hit by an earthquake and a hurricane in the same week! Hope your family is safe during this scary time! Keep us updated!

Stay safe Brook. Keep us posted!

Wishing you a safe and happy hurricane! :wizard:

Hi Brook!

Glad to read on FB that you're okay. Now, on to the next TR!! :cool1:

Kathy

*ETA: Every time my eye catches this TR title I can't help thinking of The Princess Bride. (Mawwage!) Ha! Ha!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers! NYC was definitely spared, I've seen the destruction other places and it's awful. :sad1: Even New Jersey and Long Island had some serious damage and were without power for days.

A couple of years ago we went thru a hurricane and didn't have power for over a week! The no power part was no fun but my kids never played outside so much in their lives, they had a ball :lmao:

You know I think I saw your TA roomate in the single rider line of Test Track on about the 16th in the late morning. I recognized her hair! What's her name again? No Brook, Joe or Henry sightings though!

We had a blast and the boys (3 and 5) rode TT, BTMRR, Splash Mountain, all kinds of big rides and even TOWER OR TERROR!!!! But were scared of the Haunted Mansion, lol. It did break down during the grave yard scene with a ghost popping up over and over again on both sides of them! Oh, and the heat part of TT scared my 5 yo. He said he would never ride it again. I loved it though. I had never ridden. And I FINALLY rode Soarin....twice! The whole family loved it. It was such a fun trip!

Can't wait to hear about yours.

ME!!! Jen.. And I was in the single rider line twice, late morning, on the 15th, so you might have. Usually people recognize me by my crazy hair.
I rode soarin twice this trip as well. Once on the 15th and once on the 19th.

jenseib-I only saw you from the side/back and I still just knew it was you still! That is funny!

Stay Safe Brooke, will be thinking of you guys this weekend.

Bummer! A Just-Missed DIS meet! And Jen's hair does stand-out! :thumbsup2 What a handy tool that can be for future meets.

So surreal that you are in NYC and have the possibility of having Irene effect you! Will also be thinking of you!

In May you gave me advice for where to eat in NYC, and I absolutely adore your city! I must go back to live there if not visit! My favorite city in the entire world!

I have been MIA because while in NYC resulting from a minor back injury I wound up flat on my back for most of the trip with TWO bulging disks! It was soooo painful, but lots of flat buildings to rest on saved me! I (stupidly) ventured to the top of the Statue of Liberty.. yes to the crown, with those two bulging disks Later in the day we couldn't hail a Taxi for "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" so I walked from 45 & 5th to the Hirschfeld Theater. It was a wonderful play, but after that I was done for the rest of the trip! The view of the building next door became my view of NYC.

Now I am due to go back to Disney in 14 days, and I am still trying to heal from these dumb disks! I stayed away because I couldn't stomach the thought of reading about Disney if we couldn't go, but I have decided that I am going to move heaven and earth to go in two weeks, so I am excited to have your TR to read as I continue to rest my back! Yay!

Thanks again for your advice, wish I could have tried some places, but I will next time!

Hi there!!! That is AWFUL to hear about your back!!!! I'm so sorry to hear this--and that it's still causing you pain too. :sad2: I'm glad it's not letting you stop from going to Disney-you can always rent an ECV to help!

And so glad to hear you enjoyed NYC! Sounds like you had the reaction I had when I first visited...I instantly fell in love with the City. I still look back on those moments of my first trip here with a big smile on my face. Living here is QUITE different than visiting, but you do get to play tourist as often as you'd like-so the romance with the City can always stay fresh. :goodvibes

And let me know when you come back, we'll have to plan a DIS meet! NYC is much like Disney-you can come back again and again and always have new things to do. I think I learn one or two new things to do here every week!
