I have dealt with itbs in both legs. Try some yoga to stretch out your back before running. Foam roller the tender spots. If it hurts like a hammer pounding the outside of your knee while running STOP. You cannot run through it (believe me, I have tried.) I have heard you can do intervals and if it doesn't hurt to walk, then you can keep running through mild pain, but honestly, if it is hurting I would stop and deal with it before it becomes a chronic problem. It is fixable.![]()

Oh no plutobaby!!! I am sending you knee pixie dust! Seriously tho, don't write off your races, even the marathon, yet. I have been where you are and it's tough to mentally get thru but time does heal. Hang in there.
Speaking of, my knee hurt so much on Saturday after my run so I didn't have high hopes for tonight. Ended up running my fastest magic mile and 5k ever with no pain! Who knows....
45 min tonight: 105/800
You all know how it feels to be in that periodic "down in the dumps". I am going to PT tonight and skipped yoga last night so I could stay home and do half an hour of PT on my own. Boy do I HATE that foam roller!
But I know it's good for the pain so I keep at it.
I figure if I do my PT stuff every night this week, I'll be okay for my 10k this weekend and then I have 3 weeks before my next race. Keeping my fingers crossed!
I would like to join in! My goals this year is to complete a 10k at Gillette Stadium on july 3! and to do the disney marathon in January.
My goal for march is 600 minutes.
Yesterday i did 30minutes of walking and running.

Ran 4.55 miles today and did pt.
Thanks!
My back got a bit sore over the weekend, but not too bad.Happy to be enjoying my workouts again!

What did you eat? How long have you been g-f? I totally empathize because being glutened is the pits.
Glad you are up and moving about!![]()
so it's been kind of hard to control my exposure levels. Stil, it's temporary, so I am looking forward to getting our own space again.
