Marching into March: Exercise Challenge!

Welcome to March and the W.I.S.H. Exercise Challenge!

Month Complete!

Set a goal for yourself and let's soldier on into spring! Just post the # of minutes you want to shoot towards and I will add you to the list for the month. Don't be afraid to aim high; not everyone always makes their goal, but it's a great motivation to get out there and "make it happen."

Each time you want to add to your total, please post in this format (or something like it):

70/3000 (where 70 represents the new total, including the 30 mins below)

30 mins crazy dancing (just post what you did!)

The totals will be regularly updated and the first post will reflect how current the #'s are. If you've never done an exercise challenge with W.I.S.H. before, it's easy! and a great time to start. Everyone is super supportive! So don't be afraid to join in.


As you reach milestones for the month, your name and total will change color in this post.
At 10%, you'll be bright pink
When you reach 25%, you'll be orange
When you reach 50%, you'll be purple
When you reach 75%, you'll be turquoise
At 90%, you'll be red (because you are on fire!)
When you hit 100%, you'll be WISH green!

I am gonna shoot for 1000 again and see if I can make it this time! And I believe I can cuz I refuse to get sick again!
 


I am a newbie to this board so I will just guess a number .......I'll try 1000 to start this month.

Welcome! I'm relatively new as well; it has been an encouraging place just to share about staying healthy and the bumps in the road along the way.

1000 is a great place to start - if the doc recommends 30 mins a day and there are 31 days in march, you are basically committing to doing just that plus a little extra!
 
Daaaang - you people are impressive! I was tickled my very first time to shoot for 600, cuz I've never been a regular exerciser and I figured 30 minutes for 20 of the 28 days in Feb. would be a good start.

I'm gonna go with 800 this time and see what happens - y'all were such motivation to me in February. I'm amazed at everyone's dedication, but I must be honest in saying to disneymom2one - you rock! Each time I see one of your posts and think of the amount of work you put in to staying fit and healthy, I am so impressed. :woohoo:

Congrats to everyone for setting goals and working hard to achieve them.
 
Ok. I'm in for 800.

I wish I could do 2000 minutes like some of you, but I know my schedule and my body and im still not strong enough to do that! I have to walk a fine line of not re-injuring myself so im going to build up slowly. I'm aiming for 5 workouts a week: 3 or 4 runs and 1-2 cross training days. I'm hoping to run a 10k leg in an upcoming marathon so I really want to make my goal realistic and not push my mileage too high too fast.

Everyone is awesome for having goals that are intentional and achievable! Even if it seems like a low #, either compared to what we were able to do before an injury or compared to someone else, the fact that we are getting up and doing something healthy for our bodies is huge. Every little bit counts and matters.
