Marching into March: Exercise Challenge!

YES! I was so hoping someone would post that they danced! (see the first post):woohoo::banana: You cut that rug!

Get use to it. I "cut the rug" 4 days a week, and I just this week decided to add the stepping back in. My calves are SOOOOO sore this morning!

A slow start but a start nontheless! 45/1400

50 for me brings me to 185 I believe.

The list is updated - pink and orange, we got a Dunkin Donuts list going!

Awesome job everyone, and even if you're off to a slow start, it's never too late. Don't give up!

So sorry. :( I hope you feel better soon - stay healthy!

Thanks so much!! :lovestruc

205/1400

I have dealt with itbs in both legs. Try some yoga to stretch out your back before running. Foam roller the tender spots. If it hurts like a hammer pounding the outside of your knee while running STOP. You cannot run through it (believe me, I have tried.) I have heard you can do intervals and if it doesn't hurt to walk, then you can keep running through mild pain, but honestly, if it is hurting I would stop and deal with it before it becomes a chronic problem. It is fixable. :)

I know, I know. I just need to hear it from someone who's been there. Thanks Rose! :goodvibes

Oh no plutobaby!!! I am sending you knee pixie dust! Seriously tho, don't write off your races, even the marathon, yet. I have been where you are and it's tough to mentally get thru but time does heal. Hang in there.

Speaking of, my knee hurt so much on Saturday after my run so I didn't have high hopes for tonight. Ended up running my fastest magic mile and 5k ever with no pain! Who knows....

45 min tonight: 105/800

Thanks Figs and nice job on the MM! Love seeing that time drop!:thumbsup2

Thank you everybody for the encouragement!:grouphug: You all know how it feels to be in that periodic "down in the dumps". I am going to PT tonight and skipped yoga last night so I could stay home and do half an hour of PT on my own. Boy do I HATE that foam roller!:furious: But I know it's good for the pain so I keep at it.:headache: I figure if I do my PT stuff every night this week, I'll be okay for my 10k this weekend and then I have 3 weeks before my next race. Keeping my fingers crossed!:shamrock:

3/4 - 30 minute walk and 30 minute PT = 205/1400

I would like to join in! My goals this year is to complete a 10k at Gillette Stadium on july 3! and to do the disney marathon in January.

My goal for march is 600 minutes.

Welcome, welcome! :yay:

You're on the spreadsheet, and you will be added to the main list (on the first post of this thread) at the next update. I have you at 30/600 for 5%, way to go!

205/1400
Ran 4.55 miles today and did pt. :)
Thanks!
My back got a bit sore over the weekend, but not too bad. :) Happy to be enjoying my workouts again!

What did you eat? How long have you been g-f? I totally empathize because being glutened is the pits. :(

Glad you are up and moving about! :)

Thanks - I've been GF for 3 years now. We are in a temporary living situation sharing a house with gluten eaters :) so it's been kind of hard to control my exposure levels. Stil, it's temporary, so I am looking forward to getting our own space again.

It makes me that much more grateful on days when I am healthy, and I think I've learned a lot from the process - definitely a mental stamina test when I really don't want to get out of the bed, but I know working out will make me feel better.

I'm guessing you're GF? What is your favorite remedy - my hubs found out that eating a banana is better than pepto :)

15 minutes calisthenics (chair)
10 minutes strength
8 minutes stretching

And at physical therapy:

5 minutes recumbent bike
10 minutes anti-gravity treadmill (at 75%) - What an awesome machine! I wish I had one at home. Not likely with a price tag of around $75K!

141/600

Count me in again. I came home from the PHM sick and the dr wants me to scale back training for a little while so I'll set a goal of 900 min
30 min elliptical last night
30/900

15 mins of stairs at work on my lunch break so I made it 1/4 of the way to goal!

255/1000!

25 minutes walking around town with DS. Ahhh, fresh air. And, 20 minutes of cardio walk routine at home.
So,
180/500
