I just read the two installments at once and am still wiping the tears from my eyes at Dale's pants. It's a good thing I wasn't there with you or we'd have been kicked out of the store. I can't wait for John to come inside so I can show the picture to him.

Okay, now to the shower. The arrangements are beautiful. I love them all! I've just now caught my breath from all the wedding goings-on and you are now getting reved up. Get ready to be tired from now until a week after the wedding.

The first guy, Jacob, came out and had on his flip flops and we thought that was funny, but nothing compared to Dale's high waters . I was laughing so hard I had to walk next door to Burger King to pee because I was about to wet myself.

I brought one of the arrangements home. I know Matt's mom put a lot of money into the three arrangements because the roses are beautiful and huge. The shower was really nice and laid back, she has another one on October 16, it is a couples shower. Then it will be the wedding 4 weeks after that. I'm glad we canceled the December Disney trip; I just don't think I would have been up to it.

John just looked at the pictures and said to tell Dale that he has really grown a lot since he saw him last. John said Dale was probably saying "no lady I said a 32 length not a 23!"

. I think the young girl that measured some of the guys was new, because she messed all of them up really bad. Poor Dallas had a shirt that was 2 sizes too small, and the sleeves of his jacket was way too long. Tyler had a shirt that was way too small, and a pair of pants that he and Dallas could have both fit in, then the second pair they gave him was too short...., and that is how it went with all 6 of the guys....lmao:.

You are not the only one who has had that reaction . We had a really nice time and the food was so good. I don't know what it is about food at things like this, it is always so good, but just doesn't taste the same when you make it yourself at home . The cake was good, but I actually like butter cream cakes cold, and this one was room temp.

Wow looks like my readers have left me . Well, anyway tonight Amanda came over and we played around with hair and makeup.

Bridal portraits are in two weeks so we really needed to practice what I was going to do with her hair. We had to cut about 5 inches off the end because there was no getting her fine hair to stay in the updo without cutting it some. I told her we need to start at 4am on the day of the wedding so I can get her hair and make up done and mine...........

I totally missed the additional pictures of the shower. Don't know how but I did. I wanted to know why the vacuum cleaner wasn't wrapped? Seriously, it looks like she got some good stuff.

You two did a great job on her hair! I love it! I didn't even attempt to try and do Lacey's hair. Thankfully, she wanted something simple and her Mission Grandmother did it for her.

Thanks April . That is her natural hair color, and she used to hate it . I told her people pay good money to get their hair that color. I guess she got the color from a recessive gene because my hair is red and Dale's is black .

Well, I didn't wrap it because.....................well, because I was lazy........... Actually I didn't have time. I was going to go pick it up Friday after I got off work, but we were so super busy at work I was just too tired. They had wanted us to get them luggage, but at the last minute she decided she wanted the vacuum cleaner. She did get some good stuff. She got everything to complete her bathroom except black bath rugs and I am planning on getting them for the next shower.

You TWO???? She just sat there . I don't know if I ever said or not, but once upon a time I was a cosmetologist. I wanted to be a makeup artist, but there really isn't much need for one here in Mobile, so I took the next logical step and became a nurse . We really didn't have nearly enough bobby pins so we had to improvise. We are going to do one more trial run next Sunday.

We went to Amanda's apartment on Sunday to watch the Saints game. Our cable company and the local TV station are fighting over prices so we are without a Fox network . Needless to say Dale is very upset about not being able to watch the football games being shown on Fox, and I am super upset about not being able to see House .

We did another trial run with her hair since this Friday is her bridal portraits. Not much else going on around our house, just getting ready for the wedding and starting to get a little stressed.........

It does stink because the news always came on an hour earlier on our Fox network and that gave me time to watch Everybody Loves Raymond reruns before bed....... We are going to put her hair up. She wants it to be out of the way, and since her hair is so long, that is the only way to keep it neat.

Well, we have bridal portraits tomorrow and one more shower on the 16th. I have to have my dress hemmed, but one of my co-workers is going to do it for me. She hemmed Amanda's prom dress so I know she does a good job. Then it is getting started on the cooking part. I am going to do 5 or 6 roasts, and 2 or 3 hams. I am thinking about doing a few pecan pies too since we are serving Thanksgiving dinner at the reception, and what is Thanksgiving without pecan pie?

Today was bridal portrait day and I forgot to take my camera . I did have my handy cell phone and I think I took as many pictures as the photographer did. I got to Amanda's at about 9:00 this morning to do her hair and makeup. Her appointment was at 11:00 so I was feeling a little pushed for time, but we made it on time .

Now just some random shots. I was so upset that I forgot my camera, but then I thought maybe the photographer wouldn't be real happy if I had taken it. She is a friend of Matt's mom, so she might not have said anything.

This one I took with Amanda's phone, and I think it turned out awesome!!

After we finished with the photo session we had a few errands to run and then we headed to lunch and it was Mexican food of course...lol. A new frozen yogurt place opened a few months ago and Amanda wanted to stop there and get some dessert. The place is called Chill and it was sooooooooooo good. They have about 12 different flavors and I can't even start to guess how many toppings. I was a good girl and stuck to my diet and had vanilla yogurt with fresh strawberries. Amanda got the good stuff on hers.
