March it WAS, May it IS!

Dana, Amanda looks so beautiful in the pictures. I especially like the ones with the color splash. We didn't have time to do bridal portraits for Lacey. We were too busy going back and forth to Georgia.

Awww thank you Lisa. I love playing with the color splash effect. I think it really makes a cool picture. I can understand ya'll not having time for bridal portraits; I don't know how you found time to do all the stuff you did. THREE receptions is amazing. I am getting stressed out about one :scared1:.

What a stunning girl! You must be so proud! That dress, her hair, the makeup....it all is beyond perfect! Her fiance is a very lucky man!!;)

Wow! She looks amazing! I love the red shoes & bouquet!

Thank you Queen, you are so sweet.

Thank you April. She said the shoes kill her feet, so she got a pair of platform flip flops to wear during the reception.

Thank you, you are too sweet . I am busy, and starting to lose my mind about what type roast to prepare, and how many :headache:.

I hope they have Dale's pants ready the day we pick the tuxes up, or I will be really upset. I'm sure they will though, I know they don't want my big ole guy getting upset.........:lmao:

Oh WOW, we have 2 1/2 weeks before the wedding and I am starting to stress out. I have my dress and shoes, of course Amanda has hers, but after the disaster with the tuxes I am hoping they come out right.

Work has been busy the past few weeks too so not able to have much down time there to plan. So far I have a large ham and a large roast, but I have to get two more of each so we can have 40lbs of each.

If anybody has a good roast recipe I would love it. It can't be a pot roast recipe, I have to roast it in the oven to a medium well.

I know that you are one tired woman right now but, like you and I have said, you'd do it all over again for your baby girl. My sister usually puts her roasts in the oven and seasons them with some sort of brisket rub. I'll have to ask her what it is that she uses.

Not sure how to cook the roasts, but just wanted to give ya lots of HUGS!!!! You're gonna be a chicken with it's head cut off for the next couple of weeks, but in the end, it'll be worth it!!! Have fun, don't get TOO stressed!!!!

I am Lisa, mentally, physically and emotionally. I still have days that I am depressed as hello, because she isn't living here :sad1:. I am very happy for her and Matt, but I just have to get used to it. Just wish I knew how long it takes. And yes I would do it all again.

Please find out what your sister does for her roast. I am stressing about the dang meat.......:scared1::rotfl:.

I need lots of hugs. I am a chicken now...........lol . We have 2 weeks :eek::scared1:.

Lisa, Christie, Leanne and Connie---I am trying to get photobucket to load the pictures I took of Amanda opening her gift. Once it decides to work right, I will post all the pix of her opening the gift. She was so surprised, as was I.

Y'all are the best Dis-sisters EVER.

:cloud9::love::grouphug:

I'm glad she liked all of it!!! 2 weeks will be over with before you know it!! then you can kick back with a BIG drink, and smile from all the memories of your baby being happy!!

Y'all are so awesome. She was totally surprised, as was I. 13 Days now, and I fluctuate between being excited and being sick to my stomach....:scared1:.

I can't believe she is old enough to be getting married. I guess the time that sticks out most in my mind is when she was about 4. That was the age right before she became so independent. She was still my little girl then. Once she started school she became Miss Independent and started the pulling away process..:sad2::sad1:.

I've met so many wonderful people on the Disboards including you. Of course we had to send something to our Dis-niece. ;)

Too bad ya'll aren't coming down here until March, sounds like after this wedding stuff you're gonna :) Happy wedding in 12 days!!!!

WOW, I can't believe I haven't posted in so long. Well, I guess I can since I have been a little on the tied up side........:lmao:. The wedding went well with a few snags, well they were a little more than just snags, but it is over now and I will try to be good.

OK, I am going to try and do the Clift notes version to catch up.

November 15th--Knee injury at work :scared1:, just 4 days before the wedding. Knee brace from mid thigh to my ankle, thank goodness we were wearing long dresses.

November 16th--M.D. appointment with hospital's workman's comp physician. Referral needed to see orthopedic surgeon.

November 17th--Appointment with orthopedic surgeon. Have to have an MRI to see what damage was done.

November 18th--VERY busy day--Amanda and I had an appointment for a mani-pedi. It was my first ever pedicure and I loved it. I have had hundreds of manicures because we had to do x-number when I was in cosmetology school so we used each other......:woohoo:. We had to pick up the tuxes for the guys, pick up my wheelchair, get ready for rehearsal, go to rehearsal and then rehearsal dinner.

November 19th---WEDDING DAY---The wedding was at 4pm, but we had to be at the church at 11:30am for portraits. I had to get ready and then do Amanda's hair and make-up.

This is a picture I took. When I said there were a few snags, one of them was the photographer!!! I set this photo up and told one of the bridesmaids to go get Belinda(the photog) so we could get one of Amanda with her flowers all around her. When the photog came to the room; she acted ticked off :confused3:headache:.

I got this one when Amanda came into the sanctuary for her pictures with the groomsmen and bridesmaids.

OK, wedding over, now to my knee .

November 28th--MRI

December 5th--Appointment with Orthopedic surgeon to get results of MRI. I had torn the meniscus in my right knee in two places and destroyed the cartilage...........GOT TO HAVE SURGERY :scared1:.

December 19th----Surgery!!

I have been having really bad pain in my right arm and I was sure I had torn my rotator cuff, but the doc says no.

December 29th--post-op appointment. Knee looks good, still hurts, but my arm is about to fall off, or I'm gonna have to gnaw it off........:rotfl:. Doctor says I have rotator cuff tendinitis(otherwise known as impingement syndrome) likely caused by having to use crutches, and he starts me on mobic and ultram...........arm still hurts REALLY bad. I have to have physical therapy on my knee AND shoulder now........:guilty:.

So that is the sage of "The Knee and Me"......................:rotfl:.

New Year's eve Dale and I decided to ride over to Pensacola. While there he wanted to stop and look at a Kia Forte Koup......JUST LOOK now. We stopped at Pensacola Autosport; the same place we bought our van last year. He is up for a promotion at work, and he will have to use his own car, but they will give him a car allowance :cool1:. Anyway, again to make a long story short...........we ended up buying a new car :woohoo::eek::dance3::scared1::cheer2:. It is an awesome car with lots of cool features, mine being the bluetooth........:lmao:. I will try to upload some pictures later, as it was too late to get pictures this evening.

AND last, but not least, we upgraded our dining plan from the CSDP to the regular DDP. I am going to try and book us an ADR at T-Rex since it has been added!

Super happy to see you back on the Disboards! I have missed you both here and on my trip report. I think I like your breakdown of the wedding way more than the whole ordeal that you and I talked about on the phone. You know that I can certainly sympathize. :sad2:

Have you had any luck getting T-Rex added yet? I know we talked about you calling the restaurant directly.

Oh and :cheer2: on the new car. I saw the pic on Facebook and it looks very cool.
