The whole beach is not nude. There are sections, and if you tell Bernard that you do not want to go to the nude section he will take you there. Some areas are more family friendly than others, as is my understanding from reading cruise critic, trip advisor, and friends who have traveled there. From what I've seen he is a good guy and very cooperative with families.

That's what I've read too. There's apparently only a small section that is nude and we'll definitely ask to stay away from there!

First I'm very excited for all the chatter on here the last couple of days!! I would get disappointed when we had nothing new added!

We are in for the Berards tour, since we all seem to want the same type of beach adventure!! LOL!!! Carol I sent you a PM.

Well to get me started on my vacation mode, I went for a pedicure today. I will need another one before we leave, but it definatley helped blow off some of my winter blues!!

I have not booked any excursions for St. Maarten yet and the Bernards tour sounds good!! I was going to book, but my only reservation is the beach and their statement about Orient Beach being a fully nude beach

I'm not ready for my 8 yo DD to experience a fully naked male!! I'm really not!!! It also said that for families their is another beach....anybody but me have concerns???

And when I was talking to my DH about it - I said - I guess when you have seen one male part they all look alike from there...and his response was what do you mean male??? I said honey --- its not just women who go around naked -- then he was like FORGET IT!! I had to laugh --- it's always ok/acceptable one way - but never the other!!! Anyways -- we are going on Bernards also. I will cover my dd10's eyes if I have to!!!

We are getting so close I can feel my heart beating faster already!!!! For our Bernards tour, we are now on our own PRIVATE van for us Mickey Spring Breakers!!! Since it is just us, we can decide where we want to go and how long we want to stay, etc. If anyone has any suggestions, we can discuss if we want Bernard to change anything - lets talk about it and we can all decide if we want to do something different than his standard. I told him I would get back to him on that. (Already agreed with the no nude beaches!!) He has agreed to still charge us the same $35 per person, kids 3 and under ride for free. (usually private vans are higher but hey, a little pixie dust goes a long way!). There is still room for some more if any others here would like to join the fun!!! - There are 24 of us signed up as of now. Let me know if anyone else wants to come along! Carol

Thanks for taking the initiative! What should my family and I be doing at St. Thomas? We are planning on the glass bottom boat on CC. I might do bikes with DS6 while my wife beaches with DD4.

He had a little trouble sorting everyone out because some had already made reservations before we decided to all get together but we have everyone accounted for now. So if anyone wants to join at this point, it will be easier to just let me know to add you on and he will send us a final confirmation with all the names once we are done adding that I can pass on to you all later.

Great! I will add you on the tour. He only said kids 3 and under would be free but if we add a few more people on, I will see if he will give us a little discount for more of the kids. Glad to have you on the tour!!

I could probably do more beach time as well, but also willing to flow right along!! I am now really excited about this!!! People to hang with.

I have to go change my spa appt. Did not think we were going to anything planned in St. Marten so I made appt for a massage at 8 am. I'll see what I can do, or just cancel and rebook on board or if all else fails just take DH from him the next day!!!

Hi everyone. Glad to see activity increasing. I was so glad to turn that calendar and see how close the cruise is.

Thanks, Maryrn, for answering about FEs before. I had to decide against participating. Had to have my gall bladder removed, so I've been taking it easy. Didn't want surgery, but didn't want another attack on ship or need to go to the hospital off the ship, so we rushed it through about a week ago to give me the most recovery before the cruise. Now I won't have to worry about what I eat on the cruise!

Anyone doing the 12m regatta? or have any opinions on that? We are also scheduled to the St. John Trunk Bay beach snorkeling, but I'm not 100% on board with this one.

Hi, I thought of signing my son up for the 12m regatta. I read it is the MUST do for St. Marten. He does crew at college and thought he would love it, but we decided to spend the day together instead. As I said, in several guid books it said this was the number one must do for St. Martin. I'm sure whatever you do it will be enjoyable.

24 Days!!!!!!!!! I need to get away from this cruddy weather.
