March 2008

Can someone point me in the direction to Advanced Dinner Reservations? I have no idea how to go about doing that...

Call 1-404-WDW-DINE and they can make them for you. If you want to check out menus beforehand www.allearsnet.com has copies of all of them in the Dining section.

Allyson :)

I like to see the detailed calendar for the days I am going before I plan my meals. Then I plan around the things I want to do at the parks.

:surfweb:

Just hanging out. I was able to change my cruise date to March 2009 today....crazy I know, but what can I say. Now I am in holding mode until I can book golf in a few more days.

We are heading out March 7-14. Staying at POR for the first time:cool1: and looking forward to Moderate stay since usually at All Stars. Should be lots of fun with me, DD and her friend who's never been before. Both girls are SO excieted I was able to get ADR's for Cindy's breakfast. To hear them talking about the trip, rides and food is cracking me up since both are 21 and in college, but you'd never know it.

Hey ehaley we will be there the same time as you!!! We arrive though on the 5 and leave on the 12th. You will love POR, spread out more then the all stars but beautiful. We were worried the first time we booked POR also because we loved ASM but we are a family of 5 and when the youngest turned 3 we couldn't stay there anymore in 1 room and it was cheaper heading to POR with one room. Enjoy your trip.

We are going to be at POR from 3/13 till 3/20 this is a quick book, we just booked it on Saturday !! This is our first trip onsite, first time doing DDP, first time going to the world for 7 days!!! usally we get 3-5 day tickets. plus we are going to the P&P Party on 3/14, that's a lot of work to pull off in only 3 months!!!
So far for ADR we have...

Chef Mickey's for dinner night of arrival
Tony's before the P & P Party (but might be changing to 1900 if i can find some good reviews and if they are ARD open i'll be calling tomorrow)
Akershus for b'fast (will cancell if we go to 1900)
Le Cellier for lunch
50's for lunch
Liberty tree for dinner
Crystal palace b'fast day of check out
WE also have the girls apt. for the BBB on the day of the P&P Party. my middle dd did it last year but the youngest will be old enough for this year too! :)

then we are driving on down to Cape Coral for the weekend to see Dh's brother.

Sounds like a wonderful trip.

I would love to do the BBB as well but my 12 year old is growing out of that sort of thing. :confused3

Watching the Disney Christmas parade yesterday :happytv: made DBF and I even more excited about our trip.
Over the next few days we are going to start working on ADRs...I totally need some recommendations though since I have never done this before. Neither of us is really a seafood person...but we love almost any other kind of food!

TIA! :yay:

You better get to calling for ADR like NOW, really our trip is last minute and there were a few things i had to really change around and squeeze in to get what we wanted when and i still didn't get LeCellier for dinner, i guess lunch will have to do though! LOL
Although if there is just two of you maybe thoes tables will be easier to get and we are a family of 5 so we need a bigger table. But still i'd get to calling very soon!!! I did lots and lots of reading reviews on this board and a few others, we are doing the meals listed above, lots of characters but still some you might want to look at are... Le Cellier(steak), Liberty tree taven for good home cookin(lunch is no characters me and dh did this on our honeymood great food), Coral reef for good views of the fish, but they have more then sea food on the meanu, tony's for itallian, bomas seems have fab reviews as does many others i used allears.net for menus :) HTH

I am getting so excited! I called the other day to order of PPP tickets for April 1st and she told me the extended dates werent released on DISNEY's offical site yet so I am still waiting on that to change a couple of our ADR's around!
Does anyone know if we can get in the parks at 4pm with our PPP tix without an admission ticket?! I am wanting to make a dinner adr for that night and cancel breakfast that day to do another day but Im not sure!:confused3

Last year we went the last two parties while down there and we were able both nights to get in around 4, i think first night (a tuesday?? IIRC) we got there about 4:20 and the second night (a Friday) we got there around 4:50 no problems either time. there as the a big sign or something hanging to the very far right enterances that's were we had to go with to get the maps and treasure bags... then we had to wait till 7 for the special stuff to start. we will be going to the PPP on 3/14... someone on DVC said the dates were removed from that site after they were posted, i hope it's still on thoes dates so you can enjoy too, we loved it enough that we are taking the kids out of school 3 days before spring break to come down early to make the last one (of the currently released dates)...

We made some ADRs last night for our trip, and started putting together our itinerary for each day. We reserved the Liberty Tree (w/characters) for Easter night, and then the Fantasmic! dinner package at the Brown Derby at MGM for Monday night. We may call back for Rainforest Cafe on the day we are in Animal Kingdom.
I am seriously jumping out of my skin with excitement...I can't wait!!

I can't book golf until 14 days out but that is the last thing I have to take care of. I can't wait and I am starting to get my packing list in order again.

We are going to stay near the airport the night before due to the traffic for March Break being so high. I don't want to get stuck on the bridge for hours on end.

Happy New Years everyone.

Just:surfweb: around while sipping coffee. It is back to work tomorrow and the reality of year end....

Happy New Year to you and everyone else!

Sorry to hear it's back to work for ya! DS goes back to school on Thursday and I know he's gonna be hurting...typical teenager sleeping as late as he can all break. :rolleyes1 DH doesn't go back to teaching till the 14th so he and I are sneaking off for a trip to WDW this Saturday since we had some DVC points sitting there that needed to be used. It'll be the first trip for us without DS...thought it was gonna be our March trip, but pixie dust gave us this one. :woohoo: The thing is that I'm the one who has work this week...silly me! I scheduled one interpreting job at a local doctor's office on Friday and then they ended up needing me for 2 others the same day. :headache: Oh, well it's only half of a day hanging out at the doctor's office and I'll be in WDW the next day. :cloud9:

Momsgoofy - what do you interpret?

The first trip without kids? Wow, that would be fun! :lovestruc

Have a great time. We are leaving in 65 days and I can't wait.

I just booked on New Years Eve and already have just 60 days left! I finally have an idea where we'll be eating, so I need to get on those ADRs ASAP. I'm starting to stress over plans for the parks because I just know March is right around the corner.

This will be our first time to WDW. Does anyone know what the crowds will be like (we'll be there from 3-7 March, staying at Pop)?

I have heard it described as "moderate" crowds...what ever that means.

It won't matter though you will be a Disney :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We will be there from March 8 -March 15 staying at OKW.

If you want to be added to the list I am keeping, click on the link in my signature and it will take you to the post.
