March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Some information for those who desire it.

Los Angeles is in the Pacific Time Zone (0)
Cabo San Lucas is in the Mountain Time Zone (+1)
Puerto Vallarta is in the Central Time Zone (+2)

Once you board the ship, you will switch to Mountain Time (advance your clocks 1 hour) and will stay there until you disembark the next Sunday (info from the recently posted Personal Navigators).

On the most recent trip (the only one we have info for so far) the ship does NOT change time zones when it docks at PV, so local time will be 1 hr different than ship time. Does this mean that the excursions you booked will be 1 hour different? I don't know.

I do know that posted arrival and departure times are always in SHIP TIME. I would imagine that excursions booked through DCL will reflect Ship Time start-end times.

This is something we need to ask returning passengers tomorrow, so we can get a basis for comparison.

SIDE NOTE: We received our Itinerary Change letter in the mail yesterday.

Has the Formal Night schedule been nailed down yet?

Also, We are Alternate Itinerary B, according to DCL. "A" is the b2b Cabo days, and "C" is the old Mazatlan plan...available for fall bookings at this point.

I'm not sure I want to be on the "B" trip.

Okay so I fly out on Friday, set my clocks back 2 hours to adjust to CA's time zone. Then when I go to bed Saturday night, I have to set my clock ahead one hour for Daylight Savings time. Then when we leave on the ship, we set our clocks ahead one more hour!! Boy, am I going to be confused :lmao:

Just curious is any other North Texas folks are on here? I see a lot of Arizona folks meeting up.

We are located just NE of Dallas. Just barely East of Plano. Our 6yo DD attends Kindergarten in the Plano School District.

I am not surprised to see alot of Texas families on here, it is spring break for us. Most CA schools don't have spring break until April. Just a comment on the geographic demographic. More folks from Southern and Midwestern States than West Coast folks.

I haven't been on in awhile and completely forgot about the meet at Dave & Busters. :headache::sad2: I hope you all had a nice visit. Really wish we would have been there. I think this cold weather has really thrown me off all week long!

We did have fun and missed you. We were watching for you. Anyhow, I just packed up the pirate costumes! Is anyone else dressing up? Last time I felt WAAAY over dressed for pirate night. We went to dinner and a guest asked me what table they sit at. LOL. I told her of course I am not a CM. She was a little shocked. We went way out. I want to again, but felf awkward. Oh well, it was fun so I guess I am doing it again. Anyone else on Main Dinning? We chose the first dinning because the kids are always so exhausted for dinner and hungry. So we feed them at Plutos and by the time dinner comes they just wanted to sleep. :cloud9:

We don't dress up for Pirate night. We normally just wear Pirate shirts. That's the extent of our costume.

We also have main dining. I think this year we're skipping formal night and will do something different like order room service or at BBB. I told DH it would be nice to go for an evening swim, we've never done that before. We're not "dress up" kind of people and we've done formal night on our last 2 cruises. It's kind of nice to try new things every time we go!

We probably will not dress up for Pirate Night. The kids did last time and DH and I wore more tropical type clothes. I do have Pirate and Princess Minnie Ears that I wore. The kids costumes are too small for them now and I do not want the expense of buying more. If I feel like getting creative, we might put something together for the kids but it will be things from home.

We also have Main Dining. When we booked the cruise we had late and were on the waiting list. I do not know when we were changed but it has changed on our reservation.

My daughter, Genny has been researching fast-paced Disney songs for the cheer routine, and she would like to suggest "Trashing the Camp" from Tarzan... I told her I would put it out there to see what the rest of the squad thinks :)

Thanks so much for clarifying. So if this holds true, when we get to PV and ashore time is 8:45, that is ship time and it is really 9:45 in PV. Just trying to get this straight for those of us on non-DCL excursions.

We are very excited about dressing up for Pirate night, Daughters costume came last week with my and DH accesories. Should be really fun to be part of it.

We are second dining but we are wait listed for the second. Hubby and I have had late dining one other time but we didnt have our daughter for that cruise. She's a schedule kid and I'm hoping that if we do not get 1st sitting 8 will not be too late for her, but we are on vacation so what the heck.

Formal night, my daughter and I just got new dresses today for formal night. We are so excited!!!! Now I need pretty shoes to go with the dress.

We are getting so excited!

We are all dressing up for pirate night! We are very excited. We will have myself, dd, ds, and my parents in our group and we are all wearing pirate costumes!

Had a great time last night. Lots to reply to:

1. Dance - My DD likes the following songs: Let's go Fly a Kite, Supercalifragalistixpialidocious, and Step in Time (I think she's into Mary Poppins this week :confused3)

2. We are dressing up for pirate night. I purchased our costumes after halloween (reduced). What kind of a theatre teacher would I be if we didn't have costumes.

3. We have late seating. My kids are used to eating late because I'm always at rehearsal.

4. :scared1::scared1: not anywhere near done with FE gifts.

My daughter is wearing her pirate costume with her Minnie Mouse pirate ears. It is a cute costume for a tween cause it is pink and black.

For the song can anyone take those songs and make them into a mix? That would be fun!

Jac we did miss you, but there will be plenty of time to meet on the ship.

Great....we live north of DFW airport about 15 mins. :)

I called DCL and asked them this, because we are going on a non DCL excursions. Here is what I was told... OUR ship is getting to PV at 6am and all ashore is at 7:30am.

I feel like I'm going crazy...wasn't there a pirate excursion at one time on Cabo? I think I reserved it, but now it shows I have nothing for Cabo. However, when I try to reserve anything, it tells me I have something reserved already, and it conflicts, but there is no name on the conflict. Anyone have this issue?
