March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

So glad to hear about more boys on board.

We'll have our two boys, 11 & 9, with us as well.

I didn't make it to the meeting tonight. Traffic and work got in the way. I was almost there when I had to give up and head across town to work.

Hopefully we can do another one between now and the cruise.

Dave

We are doing Los Veranos as well. What time did you book it for? There is a large group going at the 11:15 tour time.

Meredith

We are also on the 11:15 tour - it should be a lot of fun for a big group of us to be together!

No problem!:thumbsup2

How the late dining rotation works is that you see the show in the theatre BEFORE you go to the dining hall. Make sure to look at the daily navigator. It's a flyer they leave in your room nightly. It will tell you the shows in the theatre. Disney has won awards for their amazing Broadway shows! Our first cruise was only a three night cruise and we were so overwhelmed with trying to do everything we missed some of the shows....... They are a must see!
This will be our first time seeing Toy Story, but the Golden Mickeys is definitely one of our favorites! That one will be on Formal night. And if you have any "princesses" make sure to get there early.... They roll out a red carpet and interview the" little princesses in waiting" and show it on the big screen in the theatre. Just awesome!

Boy, can you tell I am getting excited!
Our cruise docs came today as well.....somehow it makes it so official.

Again thanks for all the info. This is our first Disney cruise, but our 14th over all. We still get pretty jazzed!
The cruise documents I wasn't expecting for another couple of weeks. We haven't received ours yet, but will be watching the mailbox, hope the upgrade fairy sprinkled some dust our way.

Mark.

Dave... we missed you tonight at Dave and Busters. Hopefully we can plan another meeting. I really enjoyed meeting both of the familes that came tonight. Mindy... Kenna used the tickets that the kids won to get a few prizes for Caden and Cecily. Maybe we can meet somewhere.

Erin...I am fine with adding the new family to the FE exchange, but I say we have to close it after that.

Meeting earlier in the promenade might work better so that way we can enjoy the sail away party. So, 3pm in the Promenade is the new plan...right?

I think when it gets closer we will have to do a final post with all the "details" of our very fun cruise mapped out so I do not forget anything!!

THANKS KENNA!!!:lovestruc Cecily was sad to go, she didnt get to use her tickets. What a sweet girl you are for caring so much for her. We had a blast getting to know everyone.

Theresa-Cecily says she is going to write you again. Cec would like to call you on the phone if that is okay. Ask your mom.;) PM with your number and the girls can talk on the phone a few times.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my earlier post.

I have some more questions. How does the ship time, match up to the port time?

And in connection with that, on the itinerary B that I've received, when it says: 'Ashore' and 'Onboard' times for ports, what exactly does that mean?

To put it in other words, for example on Day 6, it says ashore for Cabo at 7:15am.
what time zone is that 7:15 in? Is that the same time it is in Cabo too? And the 7:15 ashore, does that mean that's the time the tenders start filling up to take people to the Marina? Or does that mean you could be on the Marina at 7:15am already?

I'm trying to plan some shore excursions, and I want to make sure I'm giving myself enough time.

I see quite a few of you have booked the Zip Line in PV with Los Veranos, maybe i'll jump onboard with that too, and not have to worry about trying to figure out times in Cabo.

Thanks in advance!

- Shakir

33 Days until we fly out of Nashville!!!!

Went shopping to try to find the girls bathing suits.......not a fun day!!!

I am so close to bringing a suitcase down. But suitcases always upset the cat. He hates us leaving. We usually have to hide the suitcases till the very end!

How many of you bought trip insuance? I haven't, but afraid I should have!!

Hope!
I keep waffling on the trip insurance, we've always bought itin the past when we're flying anywhere...and never used it, but paying tips for 8 guests means I need to save money!! :) I'm still saying no to trip insurance, but not feeling good about it.

I have got to find suits for my oldest, she's grown so tall this year that the one pieces aren't comfortable at all...but I think I need a long torso one for her..aaagh! She really likes the boy shorts/tankini things but I can't find any at the stores, hate to order online..let me know if you have any luck!

This is coming too fast! I have got to finish fish extender gifts! Are y'all doing them?

Shkir! I know, the tendering/ashore thing is annoying...I had booked a 4 hour excursion in Cabo but now cancelled...the trip reports I'm hearing said because they are tendered in Cabo, they let all those with Disney excursions off FIRST...some families had to wait 1.5-2 hours to get OFF the ship! Then it stated the last tender would be an hour before the ahoy time of 5:30..this just doesn't leave enough time! So, we're regrouping and trying to do something in PV where we'll have all day..I just don't think it's fair they took away a port and then only give us half days in the same one...before we had whole days in each one...sigh.

Tara

Nah, Tara we aren't doing the FE this time. We were in H'sville ALL day. We ran out to Kohl's first thing. Since the girls had a 3 hour delay, we just played hookie and went shopping. I didn't get anything for myself for this trip. Megan was shopping for shoes from Prom.....

We booked excursions through DCL on all stops. They maybe more expensive but they also give me peace of mind. That is priceless.

I just bought trip insurance. My dh really wanted it. :confused3

I haVe a lot of items laid out on the spare bedreoom bed, swimsuits tried on and ready and I had to laugh when you said the Cat gets upset because our cats the same way. But I think after 13 years she should get use to us traveling. We bought insureance on our first cruise 13 years ago and have never bought again. Today is more shopping for the cruise and over the pat week my DD and I did a hand made gift for our FE, still need to do more shopping for that. WE ARE GETTING MORE and MORE EXCITED!!!!! Let the shopping begin, dad so excited

Tara,
Yeah, I'm going to cancel the excursion I had planned for Cabo. It's cutting it to close, way to unsure of times, etc.
I'd have booked through DCL, but because I just decided/planned/purchased this cruise this week, all the ones I wanted to do have already been booked up.

48 hours away from reading these posts and I was six pages behind. It has taken me awhile to catch up.

3 pm in the Promenade Lounge for a meet sounds like a good plan.

krazy4crusing: A Toronto meet sounds like a good idea until I looked at a calendar and realized that we are busy every weekend with dance competitions and hockey. We should definitely meet on the ship.

Our cruise documents arrived by FedEx yesterday. They looked like they were printed on Wednesday. A sure sign that this cruise is close to becoming a reality.

Really....FEDEX yesterday???? So cool

I will be watching for them everyday now!!!!

Denise, let me know as soon you get yours. As soon as I get mine I will send you my luggage tags :)

I'm still not very sure of the ship, where is the Promenade Lounge? We can make 3:00...should have everything unpacked and stowed away by then! :)

Thanks!!

Kenna felt really bad that she had to go before they could divide up the tickets. We will get the stuff to you soon! I think we are also going to be able to make it to the fundraiser!!

OMG!! Fed Ex was here but left us a note... it said they would come back before Feb 7th!!! I can't wait that long! :lmao:

I was hoping it was our Cruise Docs. Yipee!!

Promenade is between Tritons and Parrot Cay (I think...)

We can do 3:00 but it may involve some coercing of kids to drag them away from the Mickey Pool:laughing:

We received our documents yesterday too. Fed ex

Pretty cool that an excursion I booked through Disney three days ago was on the itinerary.

I have an 8:40 am pick up for our excursion in Cabo. We meet our guide just outside the dock.
I am worried that we might not make it now. Especially if guests with Disney excursions get off the boat first. wondering if I should cancel........

Hello Everyone!

We will be on this cruise as well. I just finished reading through all the posts and now I'm more excited than ever to go! We are from Arizona and it's our first Disney Cruise and we can't wait! I'm so glad to see that there are some boys on here around my youngest son's age. I was a little worried about him not having anyone his age to hang around with.

I read that many of you are doing the Los Veranos zipline. We are as well, but I think we have the 11:45 time scheduled at the office so I'm not sure if that will be the same tour as you all or not. For the other ports, we have Whale Watching through DCL at the first Cabo stop and my teens have the Teen Surfing thing through DCL at the second Cabo stop. Does anyone know much about the Teen Surfing excursion? I couldn't find any info on whether it was good or not so I'm debating on whether I should keep or cancel it.

We kept the cruise a secret from our kids until Christmas which seemed to take forever, but now it's coming up so fast and I have so much to do! Clothes shopping is definitely at the top of that list.

Good to "meet" you all!
