March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Cheer/dance group

Are the older girls going to put something together? I'm concerned that creating something on board will take too much time. The girls don't want to spend the entire week in rehearsal.

Getting very excited! My daughter is having fun corresponding with her penpal and she can't meet up on the ship!

We would like to do a beach in Puerto Vallarta? Does anyone have something that planned for PV?

We are going to Crown Paradise Club in PV. It is walking distance from the dock. You can get an all day pass to use the beach, pools, and facilities. $35 adult and $18 children. My email from them said it included food and drinks too. The pool has water slipes and a pirate ship.
My DS10 and DD 8 are looking forwardd to it.

We've never been there so I can't guarantee any thing, but that's what we are doing.

I talked to Madeline and Taylor, they said they are willing to put something together...

My son just turned 10 and was concerned that the cruise qas full of girls. We should meet up on board the 1st day and introduce them.

That would be great. Are we going to meet as a Dis group that day? I know someone was trying to organize a meet for the girls that are going to do the talent show together. We have early dining so do not know how much meeting we are going to be able to fit in.

Great...

I also think that we should just make the meeting after the sail away party in the Promendade Lounge our Disboards meeting. We can introduce the cheer/dance girls and also get to know each other.

For the beach, buggy, swim just keep checking. I have also heard that the eco-cat tour is pretty cool.

Sonya, I spoke with Esmerelda today and she has added our family of four on to your group. She said there would be plenty of room. Thank you so much for arranging this! I am now ready for that fruity drink!
Lori Mullen

That's great Lori.
The more the merrier! Did she give you any pick up info....did she say she would email you with the info? I'm still waiting to hear all the details.

I think it will be so fun having so many of us on one tour....the ship for sure won't leave without us!:lmao::lmao:

Question: We booked the Palo for 8:00 Saturday evening, the day before we put into L.A. harbor. Does anyone know if there is a special program for that last evening in the regular restaurants?

Thanks, Mark.

Hi Mark,

On the last night there is a " performance" in the dining hall. Kind of, sort of. The servers parade through the dining room with flags from their country, as kind of a good bye, and thank you. It was quite nice.
What time is your regular dining? Main? Which would be 5:45, or late after 8?

What we do with our family is we have dinner together in the dining room ( we have a drink and appetizers and kids eat their meal) . We have early dining. Then we go to Palo for a full diner. That way we don t miss the entertainment. Also MAKE SURE to attend the show that night in the theatre. I won 't ruin the surprise! All I will say is that it's a must see.......

Hope you can make it tonight to Dave and Busters. My DS just turned 10 and my DD is 8. It would be great to meet you. :yay:

We won't be able to make it out to Tempe this evening for the meeting. We live in Surprise, and pre-existing plans already for this evening. If anything else gets planned, we'll def be there to meet everyone.

If not, maybe once we get onboard we can pre-arrange plans to meet or something. My son is really excited about making new friends while we're on the cruise.

Thanks for your reply. We have the second sitting (8:00), so what you recommend may be the way to go.... and thanks for the info about the show that night.

Regards, Mark.

No problem!:thumbsup2

How the late dining rotation works is that you see the show in the theatre BEFORE you go to the dining hall. Make sure to look at the daily navigator. It's a flyer they leave in your room nightly. It will tell you the shows in the theatre. Disney has won awards for their amazing Broadway shows! Our first cruise was only a three night cruise and we were so overwhelmed with trying to do everything we missed some of the shows....... They are a must see!
This will be our first time seeing Toy Story, but the Golden Mickeys is definitely one of our favorites! That one will be on Formal night. And if you have any "princesses" make sure to get there early.... They roll out a red carpet and interview the" little princesses in waiting" and show it on the big screen in the theatre. Just awesome!

Boy, can you tell I am getting excited!
Our cruise docs came today as well.....somehow it makes it so official.

Shkir! Welcome on your first cruise! I will warn you, it may get a little lonely, if it's just you and your son, he will hopefully love the children's club..my 10 and 11 year old disappeared last year for most the day, we'd hook up for dinner and ping pong...and that was it! :) It's exciting to see them make pals on the ship and get involved...

On packing, they just suggest no shorts for dinner, many wear jeans/khakis....I have seen boys in nice khaki shorts and no comments were made...don't overwhelm yourself packing...we actually manage to pack one carryon for each and a backpack, that's it..and our kids are human sized! :) Just enjoy your time with your son and what you miss on this cruise, you'll most likely hit the next one, it's impossible to do it all, see it all...

We do need to hit a time where all Dis'ers can meet up! I think after the promenade party (sail away) would be good...Dicecatt may be able to suggest a good place, we've never been on the Wonder but I'm sure there are good open spaces where kids/adults can hang out together...

Not many more days to plan! I've got FE gifts to get made!! EEK!

Tara

I think the promenade lounge is perfect...usually quite on that day. How about we meet at 3 PM? Before muster and sail away?

Yes, she said she would send you the details of when and where to meet, etc in 'a couple of days'. She said to call back after a few days if I didn't hear anything from you. She did indicate that she was working on it and I had the feeling it might be 2-3 days before she had it ready to send out.
I'm so excited!!

We are also in this group of zipliners. Welcome! Have you ziplined before? My husband, myself and 12 yo daughter have. My 7yo this will be the first time for her. She is a bit of a daredevil!!!!!

We are also booked on the Los Veranos zipline in PV, but are still trying to figure out what to do the two days in Cabo. Tried to do the whale watching through DCL but they didn't have room for the four of us.

We are doing Los Veranos as well. What time did you book it for? There is a large group going at the 11:15 tour time.

What time is Muster? 3:00pm would work better for us so we can enjoy the sail away party and still make it to dinner on time. :goodvibes
