March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

I have been busy tonight! My friend and one of my agents lives in the area so she found hotel rooms for Fri and Sat, cheap and clean and close to DL. I ordered the World of Color picnic sets for Friday night for the 10:15 PM show, and also booked a hotel right by Kodak Theater in LA for Sunday night with really good reviews for only $100 including taxes. My plan is to mosey off the ship on Sunday, and explore the area in LA, the wax museum, the stars on the sidewalk, that kind of thing. I've done it before years ago but the kids will get a kick out of it. We'll have Sunday and Monday in LA and we leave on a 4 PM flight. I saved over $500 flying on Monday rather than Sunday, I'd rather spend that somewhere fun, like LA!

So have we figured out somewhere to meet in DL on Saturday? Or is that not a go? I have a bunch of clients there so I think I'll make a spot up anyway.

Plus I'm almost finished with my FE gifts...they take a while to make, both the adult gifts and the kid gifts...but they are turning out so cute! Bedtime...

Look me up if you want so we can meet on the ship.

Anyone going on the March 13th Wonder Cruise feel free to look me up on facebook :)

I looked you up on FB, FYI. And as of now, our plan is to continue with our sail! :confused3 :)

I have time on Sunday, February 27th?? What does everyone else's schedules look like for that day?

We have no plans the 27th, we'd be open to meeting fellow Zonies since we missed the first meet and greet.

On Sun Feb. 27, my DS is performing at Matsuri. It is the Japanese Cultural Festival. It is a free event at Heritage Square, downtown Phoenix. It has amazing Japanese performances and booths. It might be a great place to meet up. DS is performing at 10:30 on the Taiko stage (Japanese Drums). Just listen to the loud booms to find it.

Denise

That sounds like a lot of fun!! Johnny...sound good to you? Anyone else want to join us?

How is your DS?

I am flexible. That time works for me. I have nothing planned that day yet so I can adjust.

3 weeks from today I will be on the road to Nashville to catch a plane to California!! I think these next three weeks are going to dragggggggg!!

I will be going with my daughters. They will be 14, almost 12 and 9, almost 10. Looking forward to meeting you.

Everyone could meet at the Taiko stage. There are maps and schedules to direct you. Best way is to listen for the loud drumming.

Thanks for all the support about DS. He is doing fine. But anything with the back is scary. He is going to play drums at Matsuri. Dr. said if it hurts, stop. But he loves it, he won't stop.

I'm so excited I leave at 11 am for DL.

It is a great way to keep my mind off of the cruise. :thumbsup2

We won't be able to make a Sunday event for the PHX meet-up but I'm sure it will be a good time.

We did confirm tickets for the Cabo Pirate Treasure Hunt. Looks like it will be a race to get over there in the morning but according to posters here and the info from the company we should be fine.

I like drums so that sounds good. (no punn intended).
I think it will be real nice to get to know some fellow Cuisers before we set sail. :)

Welcome...I have a daughter who is 11 so if your almost 12 year old is going to go to the "tween" club the Edge I am sure they will meet. We are all meeting at 3pm the first day in the Promenade Lounge. Hope you can make it..:yay:

I am getting ready to make Kenna's shirt for the cheer/dance performance and I thought maybe we should give them a team name that we can all put in the center of their shirts. Any ideas? Something cute like Mickey All Stars since we based the color of the puffy paints on the mouse?? :cheer2:

We are from Tulsa area too. We are in Bixby. I have a daughter that just turned 13 this week and son that is 9. There is another family from Tulsa that has been on the boards. Looks like we have quite a group coming from Oklahoma as well.

I was also very concerned if we would make this excursion in time too! So worried I called Cabo San Lucas tours yesterday to ask them some questions.

The "meet time" is 8:30 am....the first tender isn't until 7:30...people not on DCL excursions don't have first access to the tenders...that can take quite a while...you also have to take a water taxi to the meeting place.......I was afraid that spelled disaster.

The lady from Cabo San Lucas tours called the Bucaneer Queen operators to research. She came back and said that is would be tight but that we would fine.

Her first assurance was even though the meet time was 8:30...we really only need to be there by 9a. If they tell people 9...some will come 9:05, 15, 20 which would be a big problem. If they tell them 8:30....there is cushion.

She also said that in talking with the operator she was told that much of the whale trip was Disney Wonder Passengers.... so they are going to be monitoring our arrival, etc.

Finally, she said that once we tender off the Wonder to the marina...we have to again "tender" by taking a water taxi ride to the Bucaneer dock...but that it was only "like a 2 minute ride." Her quote.

I am still anxious about it, but keeping the ressie.

She said they do plan to pull out at 9 or very close after. She did say to make sure we could get on the earliest tender we could.

Hope this helps ease some worries.

Thanks for the info! :yay: This does ease our worries some! pirate:

I was planning on doing a Peace, Love, Mickey theme...
